Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen

Yes, I would because that would be disrespectful to me. What this kid did was worse than what the Brocks did who chose not to play for Tom fucking Herman when the program was in terrible shape. They didn't insult Texas, yet they are universally hated by Texas fans but we give Finneys a pass? -
Yeah, I went to Longhorn. Two other kids from HP in my cabin, two from Midland Lee, a St. Marks guy, and I was probably unaware enough of Houston to evaluate those guys. Ran into a couple of em at UT.

lots of room for "luggage" no doubt

xXx: Return of Xander Cage. Slow rainy day, first Vin Diesel movie .. evah. Can’t say much for the story or acting, but plenty of action as expected. I must say, hotdam he’s surrounded with some serious poon. 😳

Twenty sets of white parents would find themselves scorned as RINOS just looking to make money off a tragedy and sacreligiously refusing to accept God's will. No. Yes. You watch the officials flee from that PC above claiming they can't answer relevant questions because they are so heroically dedicated to finding everybody as soon as possible. Utterly despicable. These reprobates probably keep expecting to find a decency guardrail, but they never hit it. Only a defeatd minority of Americans care.

Grammar hell, aka sports message boards, texting, and social media. In other words, most of the modern world.

Im was a Camp Cullen camper as well. I also went to Grady Spruce, the YMCA camp on Possum Kingdom Lake. I enjoyed both, but reading about these Hill Country camps, the YMCA is much more Camp North Star to their Camp Mohawk.

I think these are blasted out from towers to everything in range, based on alerts I've received in other states

Question on this. I get severe weather alerts on my phone. Is that tied to my e911 registration or whatever? Or just location data? I have kind of assumed the latter and as long as my phone knows where it is, I am getting the relevant alerts.

That part of Texas and most of South Texas is completely dependent on oilfield and law enforcement jobs. Very low percentage of people with college education

All the magazines have de-emphasized the photography over the decades as well. DCTF in the 70s was crammed with action photos, both in review and preview. Now they are pretty scant. And that's a bit weird considering how much cheaper the football photos are nowdays, with everybody and his brother being a sports photographer. I guess it takes up too much ad space. But it diminishes the enjoyment of the magazines a lot for me.

Karoline Levitt was just at the podium talking about how much Trump loves Texans. I would have liked to have seen a question from a reporter along the lines of "Are you under the impression that Texas is comprised of 100% republicans? Because Trump made it very clear the other day that he hates all democrats."

10 seconds for that move was excessive, though, especially since there was no warning, as you mentioned. If you're going to penalize him at all, 5 seconds should have been the max. Instead, they gave the race win to Lando.

Some of the bigger names skipped playing. What did we send out? Our B- / C team? What did Mexico send out?

I think everyone gets the idea of summer camp but didn't experience it themselves. Meatballs was a favorite movie of mine when I was a kid. However my parents sending me to camp? Nah. I don't think they really cared what I did during the summer. Typical Gen X neglect. But knowing myself, if my parents had asked me if I wanted to go to camp, I would have said no. EDIT: While I would guessed there were camps in Texas, I had zero awareness that many were centered around Kerrville.

That is a lucid, well-thought, intelligent objection. Post less. Upon release, 15 years ago, the main criticism of the movie from some movie goers and critics was that it was confusing and lacked emotional depth. Now, because people have analyzed it and watched it online with subtitles it has too much exposition. So, which is it? Nolan is not David Lynch. He doesnt have to make it Dark City. It’s not that kind of movie. And it doesnt have to be. I guess the analogy of your criticism of Hans Zimmer and Nolan is like criticism of Led Zeppelin by punk artists of the 70’s. Hey its too good. The singer is too this. The drum solo is too this. Whats the point except that other artists should be able to do other things?

But politicizing this is bad in the eyes of our overlords, while this was directly caused by county leadership politicizing a fucking disaster warning system TWICE
