  1. Past hour
  2. And every hour instead of bells it would play the theme song from Curb Your Enthusiasm.
  3. ...and the WRs and TEs sent Arch one, too
  4. Never seen the quality of refereeing in a Chiefs game, I take it.
  5. The Billups scam poker games are at a level of stupidity that amazes me... For a guy that make $100M+ scamming on $50 k game just seems stupid to me .
  6. It is when you have no other real football traditions.
  7. 2 years of looking like a mental midget at red zone with all that talent and experience was a big ass red flag. Offensive gurus don't suck like that.
  8. It's maddening. I understand making that an option for some kids, since we've all but given up on actually educating the bottom half of students and instead focus on their feelings, but making it the mandatory method for a book report is just giving up on everyone, and is representative of how our system is failing by focusing on ensuring all kids feel good while neglecting to actually educate the kids who can handle it. My autistic 8th grader would be much happier writing a five-page book report. Those stupid fucking art projects stymie him. The other area that this shows up prominently is how daily busy work counts for 70% or more of your final grade, while exams are typically no more than 20%. That same son will score 100 (or more if there is extra credit) on every single exam in every single class, which are all upper level, but nearly fails many of his classes because he doesn't turn in forms on time, or has the wrong color of binder. All of this in a school district where half the teachers don't even have emergency certification (i.e., they have no fucking clue what they're doing). This bullshit to make sure kids who don't test well don't get left behind is leaving behind kids who are excellent at content mastery (which should be the fucking point) but suck at inane busy work is a crazy way to run an educational system. We're so focused on creating a new generation of drones who will either skip college or get a business degree if they go, that we're failing to nurture the people we'll need to take the lead in the future.
  9. Similar. I had a job as a lab analyst testing IV solutions, and occasionally that entailed going to the filling floor to test some oil free compressed air drops. Doesn’t make me a factory worker.
  10. I'm not voting for him because I don't live there, but I do think he's the least bad option in that particular race.
  11. Is there no one on the staff or team who calls out Sark on his shitty OC'ing? Surely someone (hopefully multiple someones) after the Kentucky game has said "What the fuck was that?" BUT, for his tenure, we continue to suck inside the 10 so I guess that's a NO. He can look amazing at times but then there are entire games where he's like a fucking idiot calling plays regardless of what is happening on the field.
  12. He was also a guard at Abu Ghraib apparently. I honestly don't have to care about him electorally. I'm not a fan of war criminals, red or blue.
  13. Florida and OU used mostly stunts to attack the LG/C with 2 and 3 high looks behind. Kentucky used more 2nd level/3rd level pressures to get to Arch. Teams will go back and forth between the 2 approaches. No matter the approach, defenses are going to hunt the Left A gap. Offense will need to stick to run the ball and rely on the quick game, like the OU game. The longest run vs Kentucky was an 8-yard run by Clark. He misread the play and if he hit the proper hole, he would have been 1 on 1 with the Safety for probable 40-50 yard TD. This OL and Qb cannot handle a defense that is teeing off on them, because Texas is 1 dimensional. Anyone thinking they can is delusional.
  14. I look forward to getting rid of all the crap. When I moved into my wife's house last March, we both did a major purge at my old house and her house, getting rid of un-needed furniture and mounds of other stuff to Salvation Army, Goodwill, or curbside bulky trash service. It was a ton of work, but so worth it.
  15. Most likely he's another Sinema.
  16. There’s no telling how differently Robinson would be playing in this era. If he were a legitimate three point threat, you would have no chance guarding him off the dribble as fast as he was with that first step. And this is probably blasphemy sprinkled with a heavy dose of recency bias, but Wemby is a markedly better defender. David was ridiculously great, literally one of the best ever, but there’s just never been a player with the reach and timing of Vic that impacts the game like he does.
  17. Week of Prep in Ahead of Mississippi State (Thursday): CJ Vogel
  18. It worked so well because Sark kept him in the pocket, trying to facilitate long-developing pass plays. Then on designed runs, they seemed to be delayed draws up the middle and into the teeth of the Dline.
  19. Most leftists had never liked Platner because he was a combat vet who signed on to Blackwater. Valid criticism, but not electorally smart.
  20. What is that word? Is that an old fashioned term?
  21. With all due respect, sir, I believe this is gonna be our finest hour.
