  1. Past hour
  2. Remind me again why we don't see video or pictures of Antifa firebombing everywhere in Portland? Or why Trump's Chairman of the Board of Peace ramblings didn't make the evening news? Or Trump's "I hate everyone" vitriol at Kirk's memorial service? Yeah, no.
  3. Probably because of his experience when he lived in Utah and dated one. undefeated?
  4. Only being shown in NY, LA, London, and Boston, but seeing it in imax will still be awesome. Im going to see it for a second time this weekend in 70mm IMAX.
  5. Bumping this thread. We are 4 days away from Florida and I'm staring down a 40k hole. (56k total cost, ticket sales recoup on the rest you do the math) This isn't unusual for away tailgates. Michigan sold 75% of the inventory in the final 3 days, but I'm feeling completely exposed - a lot like I'm in this by myself and really like I just don't wanna do any of this anymore. I read my first post in this thread and I'm literally just living that nightmare back in 2025. I've had some really great help (financial) from some people that have really helped cover and make me want to commit to the home tailgates not even as investment just as wanting it to happen. What I need now is someone to help me share the mental load of these massive capital outlays and exposure that all end up coming together quickly. There's no lack of demand for a really great party at away games, marketing is our main problem now, but also just the way people buy for these things is similar to tickets - 50% of people going to the away games dont get tickets until they arrive or feel like secondary is bottomed out. We are listed on stubhub, tailgreeter and have our own social following. This is all amplified by the burnt ends starting this week and another big outflow for first payment there. 70k weeks are hard to shoulder by yourself especially with the exposure I have. If you are interested in helping out with Florida on short notice I'm happy to cut you in on the profits, but also share in the losses if there are any (I don't think there will be). If you know anyone who wants to sponsor an event like this please let me know ASAP.
  6. Well, they also traded Derozan for an MVP caliber player in Kawhi... And really, they won game 7 in OT after tying it with one of the flukiest shots of all time, and then had the good fortune of the Warriors to be decimated by injuries just as they made the Finals. But hey, if the Astros win another ring because Ohtanis arm falls off, I won't complain. Either way, Espada is in over his head.
  7. I understand having 2 MNF games if they are East Coast/West Coast and air consecutively. But I don’t get it when they run almost concurrently.
  8. The Vanishing Point throwback there was perfect. Like I thought I was going to see Barry Newman at one point. I cannot emphasize strongly enough how good the car chase is in IMAX.
  9. My mom died in January. At least I don't have to worry about this shit any more. Yes, she paid $800 to a fuckstick positioning themselves as being able to lower her house payment AND save it from foreclosure. Well why the fuck WOULDN'T she pay? Hint: she avoided talking to me on financial matters because I tended to say, "No!"
  10. bijan moves like eric metcalf and peter warrick despite the fact that he’s got 40-45 lbs on them. he’s an absolute freak athlete, and just a born running back.
  11. Some more thoughts.
  12. Just put the motherfucker on ignore, which is what I did after the second time he came in here, drive-by trolling. It's not like you'll miss any of his posts elsewhere on the board, as he brings absolutely nothing to the table.
  13. Nephew?
  14. I saw it on Imax this weekend and loved it. I might sneak out of work later this week and catch it again. I loved that for all the freaking out Di Capro was doing, Benico Del Toro was just calmly moving hundreds of migrants offsite while also managing his hippy friend having a total meltdown. And in the end, the only thing he caught was a DUI.
  15. I saw on Reddit that there is an episode of Evil Lives Here about this POS from 2021. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt15500092/
  16. Against the same schedule we faced that year? Yes. Against this current conference schedule? Not happening. Foreman also got a lot of yards because we had a freshman QB and the scheme was designed to run heavy by spreading the receivers out past the hashes. That was the year the university president had to fly out to beg ol' Sterlin Gilbert to bless us with his rapist's offense for one season. Dark times. I do think the running game and Arch would both benefit from running a lot more spread concepts, especially inside the 40.
  17. Russian demographics are hard to figure out - supposedly around 140 million people, give or take 5 million. They certainly act like they are doing poorly given how hard they are trying to bring in manpower from outside of Russia (North Koreans, Indians, Chinese, Africans, etc.). Supposedly the Moscow metro area has around 20 million people. Certainly feasible given the size. If Ukraine continues to hit anything and everything that keeps Moscow going, whether it’s refineries or pipelines or pumping stations, as we head into the winter, well the talking heads on state TV are pumping out one narrative about how the war is going, but if people can’t get gas for their cars, can’t run their heaters, that is one helluva counter-narrative to what the government is saying. I don’t think we’ve ever seen a modern top-15 metro area lose their fuel supply, whether it’s for cars or for heating homes. I don’t want to get my hopes up, but that seems like the kind of stuff that gets people riled up.
  18. Kenny & Ziggy's in Houston will give you the same City experience.
  19. I’m really worried about American corporate media. It appears it wasn’t until the due diligence of foreign media discovered the murderer’s connection to Trump and maga, that they published proof of same. We learned first from the British press that his mom’s social media posts supported Charlie Kirk. It’s one thing to be careful and responsible when reporting on incendiary stories. It’s quite another to know the guy was maga and sit on that fact out of fear.
  20. It's the "people of Walmart" that gets me. Upside down world I guess, but the entire thing is so nonsensical. I know we can't get any actual defense of anything happening in this fucking hellscape, but it would be nice if the drive-by posts at least made sense as insults.
  21. I liked the Man Show, and Kimmel’s fawning on the Stern show was amusing. His late night show was boring. Until this weekend, I had no reason to give a shit about Rory. I did respect the sport of golf, though, as my dad loved to play it. So, yeah, what you said.
  22. I don't care for Louis Riddick and his incessant need to spew grandiose football terminology but Orlovsky needs to STFU
  23. Yeah gotta love the “there was no autism in my day” crowd that pivots immediately to their strange Uncle Steve…who never got married, ate at the same table at the same diner and ordered the same dish for 25 years, and whose house was converted to a model railroad shrine…didn’t need no commie socialist liberal mental health care.
  24. Nick Folk? Is t he like 45
