How I didn't know about the pre-game "prisoner swap" is embarrassing. That might just be the coolest damn thing I've seen in a long time.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen

Maybe instead of the one fund we start a honey-pot account. -
The 85% or the 15%?

Good thing we elevated a meme poster and podcaster to the top positions in the FBI. Beginning to think the burn it all down guys are fucking idiots.

Great, great game. For everyone in the Metroplex, I can't recommend Armor Brewing enough. Just an amazing place. The venue was great. Outdoor areas for little kids, tons of seating. TV's everywhere. Heaters by every table outside. Dog friendly. The Hooten Young tasting was nice. The food is incredible. For those in the know, I'd compare it to Whisky Cake in Plano, but with a better selection. We went with friends, and we had flights of beer, wings, jalapeno cheese curds, fish & chips, even kimchi/chicken fried rice. For desert we had these amazing fritters and a chocolate creme Brulé with a marshmallow "fluff" on top. Can't say enough good things about this place.

I don't think going on blind dates with different men is morally wrong. -

He will be some form of cop pretty soon. -
Well the guy with the “best view” was blind or cheating. They got the call right

There’s a New Mexico? -
He contributed to the story, as did Billy Crystal, but I believe Ephron got sole screenwriting credit.
-
He cowrote the screenplay with Ephron for When Harry Met Sally. Regardless, terrific film and a brilliant guy. He will be missed.
-
This game ain't over yet, tho.
-
The whole Pavia love affair was only because none of the people who adored him had lived around or met trashy New Mexicans. However, his behavior is why I love trashy New Mexicans.

Of all the Surly threads that have turned dumb, this one might be the winner. If he thinks he was wrongly fired, he can sue for wrongful termination. (Good luck with that.) Ladder climber or no, his mistress appears to be of low moral standing. Being with a man who is cheating on his wife. No good. It isn't racism. Looking at corporate America, there are plenty of executives who have been fired for the same behavior. Prominent Ohio State podcast says they should go after Kyle Wittingham.
-
He also directed and produced Misery. Not quite sure of the criteria for a "[insert name] film." If it's all of writing, producing, and directing, then no, When Harry Met Sally is not a Rob Reiner film, as he directed and produced, but did not write. Stand By Me was one of my favorite films from my adolescence. A Few Good Men and When Harry Met Sally are two of my favorite films of all time, and my wife and I frequently quote from both of them. Horrible news. He seemed like one of the more lovable people in Hollywood.

KTRK is just down the road and Kay’s was a popular hangout for people who worked there. Having a beer at the Texas table was a rite of passage for any Houstonian. I’ve worked in television in Houston for a long time, but never at 13. I have friends that did and that was their spot. Any time I was at Kay’s I got nostalgic for what the “Anchorman” news days of the 80’s must’ve been like there between the 6 and 10pm shows.

I’m not a religious person, but I grew up amongst them and know what true conviction and faith is. What she’s selling ain’t forgiveness. It ain’t grace. Truce grace and forgiveness are so fucking hard that it almost breaks you. You wrestle with it, it wanes, it ebbs. You’re never the same, but instead of holding onto the hurt and hate it allows you to heal. The only thing worse than forgiveness is not forgiving and holding onto it. Most people try to just block out the hurt than than attempt to forgive because that’s actually the easiest solution. But doesn’t ever work and it ends up metastasizing into some sort of character flaw or mental illness IMO. Best case? She’s doing performative forgiveness in an attempt to grift / make $. Worst / Likely IMO? She doesn’t have to forgive because she never really loved her husband and his death has just given her an opportunity / agency she has never had before. She has an organization and a platform to make her way. She might feel a little guilty but she secretly feels unburdened by her husband being murdered. 🤷♂️ -

It's Heather Harmon, aka Heather Brooke.

Antonee Robinson played his first full game in a long time. My YouTube algorithm is showing replays of 2022 US World Cup games. Jedi was a significant influence in those games. Good news if he’s turned the corner on his recovery.

So Texas' season can conceivably end after Aggy's on the calendar. It's a small consolation, but I'll take it.
