I guess when I say no one, I mean the people participating in the discussion. Touche on that though.

I think you both (Js1 and SL) have a good points. Personally, I would like to see a better block from the team. I think it's a momentum changer and energizes a team. As far as going for straight up blocks, for more block touches and to take away hitting angles, I'm not really seeing that working, especially against the better teams they have played so far. Maybe the stats say differently. The middles still look a little slow to close the block to me, but Harvey looks quicker and will improve with experience, as will Ames. The strong backrow play this season certainly mitigates some of the blocking deficiencies, but why not both! It's interesting that Stafford's blocking numbers are so poor, but agree it's a good trade off since her backrow play is so strong. Bottom line, imo, aggressively press the block. Louisville was pressing the block so hard against us that they were literally almost jousting our hitters on tight sets.

I think WWR is way undervalued given the policy tailwinds at its back.

Still pretending Republicans can't get this done without Democrats. Adorable. -
@Brisketexan (I think) and I discussed this before. We both believe that the entire parcel is under a bunch of ground leases. I know for a fact that the Greenwood is or was on a leasehold condominium at one point, which means either the developer has to buy out the individual owners or wait until the ground lease terms out.

I’m just going off the numbers man. You can go off your discussions. I’m sure there’s some selection bias there. Heck, you managed to find a NG that is open to moving to Illinois from here. That’s obviously a politically motivated thing to consider. It makes little sense to do that from a long term financial perspective. -
Hopefully that wasn't Ruben Gallego's quote verbatim. Yikes. Missed the landing on that zinger.

He's playing fast and loose though - when he describes the cartels as "unlawful combatants" and says we are in a state of "armed conflict" with them, that's very specific legal language meant to allow him to hit anybody he deems an "unlawful combatant" and last I checked, the cartels cross a lot of borders and Congress wasn't talking about them after 9/11. He's trying to treat them like they are Al Qaeda, when they haven't declared war on us, haven't been killing a shitload of Americans and attacking our cities, bases, ships, etc. And to top it all off, he was talking about regime change, which is insane. If he doesn't get what he wants out of this, he will set his sights on another nation down there. Or we will put boots on the ground unless Congress does something (hint: they won't).

Probably depends on what got stabbed. My son stayed for a week with a kidney laceration. -
Until Sark becomes the head coach of the whole team and not just the OC we are going to see games like Florida. Just not ready to go. Florida was ready to play their best game to back their coach. This was the Alamo for them. lose to us, then to aggy on the road(very likely) and they are 1-5 and SunBelt Billy is toast. I expect aggy to beat them by 20, probably knock Lagway out in the 2nd quarter. Florida is not a good team. We played a hurt Lagway like he was gonna Lamar Jackson us. never even tried to pressure that much really.

Thanks guys. I forgot I already knew this. One of earliest memories as a toddler/youngling was touching a radiator in an Air Force hospital. Only happened once. I imagine every refinery has a distillation column similar to this. Additional columns may include operating at a vacuum to enhance separation, or use a catalyst or extreme heat to "crack" the long chain heavy hydrocarbons into lighter, short chain hydrocarbons. A refinery will make 100+ gallons of products from 100 gallons of crude oil. In simple terms, jet fuel is a combination of gasoline and kerosine and other substances. Refining 101 - Distillation "Much like a simple still, in a distillation column, liquid is heated to a vapor and lifted upward to be distilled again into separate substances. This is the beginning of the refining process. Distilling exploits the characteristic of the chemicals in crude oil to boil at different temperatures. Unlike a still, a distilling column contains a set of trays that allow heated vapors to rise and collect at different levels, separating out the various liquids derived from crude oil. The top of the column is cooler than the bottom, so as liquids vaporize and rise, they condense again, collecting onto their respective trays. Butane and other light products rise to the top of the column, while straight-run gasoline, naphtha, kerosene, diesel, and heavy gas oil gather on the trays, leaving straight run residue at the base of the column. Liquids are considered “heavy” or “light” based on their specific gravity, which is determined based on its weight and density compared to that of water. " The bottom of the barrel really is the bottom of the barrel. FIFY Like anything you read, there is some fiction based on fact. You decide how much of which is which. Using an orbiting satellite to identify a specific weld in a large processing plant "for weakness" is Bruce Willis level kind of fiction. (99.9% of welds in a process plant are stronger than the pipes that are welded together, because they are thicker than the pipes.) Now Russian steel might include melted fenders and hood ornaments, so ... In a large power plant or smaller gas plants & NGL fractionation plants that make steam, you will probably have and/or use different levels of steam; ~1,800 PSI (#) steam - to drive a very large turbine-generator sets (~ 10,000+ HP?) 600 # steam - to drive smaller pumps and equipment 80 # steam - the heat medium for heating the process towers Low level steam - auxiliary heating for buildings, etc. The resulting low level steam that is not used in all of the above (condensate) is condensed from steam back to water by using cooling water and/or cooling towers. The less you have to do this, the higher the plant efficiency. That is why nuclear and other large power plants are near oceans, rivers and lakes. As a young District Engineer in the 80's, I got one of my plants licensed as a FERC certified co-generation plant, that had a 90+ % thermal efficiency (~ 93% ?). The water used to make steam is cleaner and purer than distilled water. It is normal for smaller steam turbines to go 10+ years without having to open the case to inspect it. The large turbines are inspected on a more frequent basis as a precautionary measure.

lots of people in this thread have advocated for moving on from him, while others have already suggested we will have to find a portal qb to replace him, and there’s also a whole other thread on this forum demanding that arch be benched. if i had a nickel for every time someone on this forum, and on this specific subject (texas qb play) said, “nobody is saying (insert something that’s being said A LOT)” id have a shit ton of nickels. y’all love to say stuff/watch other people say stuff and then say, “no one is saying that.”

I’m with you. I think many are pointing to our “soft NFL offseason” where we didn’t really hit in practice too much, because we were planning for all of the CFP games we were gonna play this year. Hard to know which of the big uglies are good if they aren’t battling good on good. As an aside, I went to the same high school and graduated same year as Ian Boyd. I think we had a debate class together senior year. Happy for him that he’s able to make a living writing/providing analysis on Texas football.
