Diameter matters....a lot. See the 108 inch (which is the kind of pipe you're talking about) in the Tarrant Regional Project above. Trust me, my $1 billion figure for a Lavon-Travis line is certainly WAY low. Sewer pipe is also quite different than a raw water line (sewer lines generally are not run under any pressure, for example). Large-scale water transport is super-expensive business. Always has been (otherwise, the easy idea of "just build a pipeline from wet areas to dry areas" would have been done 100 times the past 75 years. Instead, such projects are few and far between.

Post LBJ, democrats have only been elected during times of crisis except for Bill Clinton…. and that was only due to a strong 3rd party candidate AND a decision. Winning in 2028 will mean that the nation is facing some sort of large economic catastrophe or existential event. I have no faith in the democrats strategically make any kind of moves that help them. Our best hope is that they don’t make any decisions that alienate more of the electorate than they already have and just hope whatever terrible shit that happens doesn’t kill us all.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet
MrBig replied to Coach pop a bitch's topic in Football
When did he ever hit a guy in stride on any throw? Even the check downs were thrown in a way where the receiver had to adjust to the dump off. Too bad he never moved. He is not even close to “throwing on the move or off balance” and his throws were never in the breadbasket or in a position where his man wasn’t getting rocked to make the catch. Like the fake against Kentucky where he fumbled even though NOBODY touched him? He fakes himself out more than anyone. If he could conquer his mental demons he would be on another level. His interview with Gruden showed how fun and personable he is when things are focused on just football. I was very impressed he had such a personality on him. Golden loved Quinn too. -

https://d1baseball.com/postseason/2025-d1baseball-field-of-64-april-30/ KR has us as #1 with TCU as our 2 with UCLA in the Supers. Slid Aggy in as the 3 in LA Regional to keep that storyline going. -

May get a season two thanks to russia's ongoing invasion TL:DR - russia's drone and missile strikes have seriously damaged and perforated the recently finished (in 2016) New Safe Confinement that encapuslated the old decaying sarcophagus and holds in literal TONS of radioactive dust.

I hate how the British announcers say "Uh-rou-hoe" instead of Araujo. -
Just when I think I've lived a long life and am a mature, knowledgable competent adult who understands how the world works and how complex systems and processes interact with each other to form value chains and ultimately businesses, I get hit with this sentence above and realize that I truly am a child wandering into the middle of a movie we call life.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet
Park Gothic replied to Coach pop a bitch's topic in Football
"This site" is not down on Ewers. A meaningful minority of posters are down on Ewers, but most of them are in the "good guy but ultimately disappointing" camp. I'm in the pro-Ewers camp, but I have no problem with the people who are disappointed in him. Dude never realized his full potential and had several holes in his game, so I get the frustration. But an even smaller minority of that minority are genuinely rooting against the guy and are thrilled by how low he went in the draft. They like that because it proves them "right" and they would rather feel vindicated than have good things happen to one of the top QBs to play at Texas. That's why I would say it's not a CR thing - the CR shit is just another justification they can toss on to their "feel good" pile, but if it wasn't that it would be something else. Those are the people who are so down on Ewers. Don't lump the rest of us in with them. -
