Arch is hitting an excellent 50% on his deep balls. Hard to find issues with that. The issue is finding something that is efficient and easily replicated. Texas is much more vertical in the passing this year, which will tend to be more boom or bust The OL has some real holes currently. Stroh: 47.6 PFF grade vs SJSU and 44.9 vs OSU baker: 59.1 vs SJSU, 41.0 vs OSU That is going to make doing anything consistently an issue

The differences between what Arch does well and what Ewers did well are pretty hilarious. Like if we could combine them, we would have, well, I guess we'd have something between Joe Burrow and Vince Young. I'm not sure how Manning can be so uncomfortable with short, easy throws, but he needs to get comfortable with them. We can't be in 3rd and 10 half of the time.

I increasingly believe that we were forecast as a juggernaut a year early because of our QB's last name. Sportswriters are generally pretty dumb. Somehow, they convinced themselves and each other that all the experience of prior Mannings was already loaded into Arch. Nope. He actually has to acquire his own experience. I expected more out of him right out of the gate. That means idiots who write sports persuaded me to join them in the idiot club. Shame on me. It is a lot to expect a first year QB to lead a team to a championship. Mistakes kill those aspirations. It's absurd to expect Manning to play like a veteran who has seen the results of a lot of bad decisions and knows to avoid them. He won't lead us to a championship this year. It will be the defense leading the way if we are to have a chance, IMHO. If the defense keeps us in the playoff picture, Manning may have matured enough by the end of the season to assert himself as a seasoned player. I'm taking it game by game from here with no expectations.

It might be too much to ask but Temple might have a legit coach with Keeler. Two blowouts so far and they get OU at home. Would be a shame if OU were to struggle. -

Or wait until say November or December when temps are a wee bit cool and just take out large parts of the Russian power grid. No way they have the air defenses to protect their grid around Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Here is a question - do you see a plan for what Poch is doing? I mean I kind of see something. As we know - our #1's are pretty well set. I kind of get the sense that Poch is trying to find the next rung of guys. The results of that are mixed. The results in games - not so great. Assuming this is Poch's play (and I am not saying 100% this is his strategy), what are your thoughts on it? And when should he focus on getting the #1's together and working on getting them playing as a team?

We have a qb who’s still finding his comfort zone and a WR corps where the veterans are playing inefficiently and the fresher faces are out performing them. Wingo isn’t mentally ready for an alpha dog role, Moore doesn’t seem to be in sync with Arch. Arch also doesn’t like taking what the defense gives him. He needs to get the ball to his backs quicker instead of looking to force the ball downfield. He really loves throwing deep balls, but lacks the anticipation for it right now. This isn’t a playoff team unless the defense becomes much stingier. Or Arch finds a way to become more efficient with his current ability.

I watched the last set & a half on a plane. (Didn’t see any of the match before that.) Sinner seemed off. Whether he was sick or injured, I don’t know. But he didn’t look like himself from the finals in the first three majors this year. These two kids are pretty good.

I’m not jumping Jerry’s leg because I was against him paying him the $40 mil that was offered. He should have been traded for picks back before the draft. You can’t pay three guys half the cap, especially when one is a basket case mentally before any truly big game, and a head case pass rusher who lacks the stamina for a 20 game season, has one playoff sack, and can’t defend the run. this D can’t stop the run which is the primary requirement of championship defense in the nfl. 11 was part of that failure four four seasons. Scheme alone can’t stop the run but one can manufacture pressure, as Eberflus did in the second half. Both Ben Johnson and Dan Campbell expressed more relief that Kenny Clark was gone than fear of parsons. can’t judge trades until all the picks are made but if cowboys draft pro bowlers as they do better than anyone then they’ll get 3, and one of them should be packaged for picks at some point. I believe in the end Jerry woke up, maybe from watching his doc, and made a bold move, making big cap space, having four ones in two years, and addressing a critical need. Star edge rushers alone don’t make championship teams; the last was the Von miller broncos

I will tell you what, Elon is really going to be having to do a lot of Jazz hands to make some of this stuff happen. 20 million cars … total They rail on the 20 million number change and note that it's only 12 Million cars before 2035. But the way their global car sales have fallen, if you extrapolate that across 10 years. they fall well short of that number. I get that their decline might not always be 15%, but even an annual 10% decline will see them fail to make the number. 1 million robotaxis I know this was redefined heavily - but I just don't see how they make this number at all. Waymo isn't even close to this number and has real autonomous driving. Even if I fully believed in Elon, I wouldn't let my car be part of any cab fleet when I'm not using it as lame as FSD is. 1 million bots oh ok. Whatever. 10 Million FSD subscriptions They haven't even sold 10 million cars and the take rate for FSD is pretty low. This number is seriously pie in the sky. $8.5 Trillion Valuation Like I said jazz hands Anyway - whatever. Give him this deal. I just don't see how these numbers ever come to pass. -
