  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah that is quite misleading, however: This
  3. Looks like UUUU has gotten past their conv debt offering to pay for the commercial rare earth upgrade. +.90 to $16.61. If I’d had some liquidity, would’ve bought more when it dipped to $15 for a trade. And, I don’t trade.
  4. Some somewhat positive news. https://money.usnews.com/money/retirement/articles/the-4-percent-rule-no-longer-works-for-retirees-says-the-man-who-invented-it Bengen now considers 4.7% a new starting point for sustainable annual withdrawals.
  5. 100% shit hole. I think Burning Man is over..Sex Tent 100% the way to go.
  6. Only by the more uppity, less democratic among us.
  7. Overhead in my law office. "I think I need to do a will in case I die. "raise hell, praise Dale. Death is coming for us all"
  8. @Gatorubet @gatormarc @Litig8r Do you guys have a local connection for our fearless leader? See above.
  9. I turned down a lot less than $10MM from Aramco because fuck them.
  10. He gets to line up next to Hitler every day to get a pineapple shoved up his ass.
  11. Is this article saying nobody can find $5 billion, or that nobody can find any income from these things? Only a fool would have believed for one second that 1,000 cards were sold in a day.
  12. Can I get the contact for your CPA?
  13. Putin invaded Ukraine. Oxy would have gone bankrupt without that increase in prices.
  14. Are you the guy eating a Philly cheesesteak at IHoP? Practically all of them outside of Philly North NJ are shit, made with frozen Sysco chopped beef planks on shitty rolls. Or they ate at Geno’s or Pats in Philly which is like eating at Joe T Garcias. in Philly I usually go to John’s Roast Pork store. His cheesesteak is also one of the best I’ve had. the best I’ve had is at Taliercio’s Ultimate Gourmet in Red Bank, NJ. Made with their house roasted prime rib, imported aged provolone, garlic semolina bread. It was $30 back then, gotta be more now. They are all over Facebook. Best sandwich store I’ve ever been to.
  15. At least I find out tomorrow if I'm moving my kid to Colorado.
  16. I’ve seen *instructors* fumble with shotgun shells during reloads at the range, more than once. Look, you don’t want a Democrat in office. I get it. You don’t need to pretend to buy this shit, there’s no need.
  17. I kept thinking about the concept of mimetic rivalry as I watched clips of the right's reaction to EscalatorGate. It started off with fairly typical MAGA outrage, but as more and more people joined in, the outrage got worse and worse ("we should bomb the UN and Trump should put piece of the rubble on the Resolute Desk!"), as if they were competing for a title. Thiel explained that he was "betting on mimetic rivalry" when he invested in Facebook - people have called him the founder of the Like button. Anyway, I think some of you will find it as interesting as I did. Pretty sure that was Jesse Waters on Fox saying that we should bomb the UN (although obviously not the only one). In prime time. You know, what every maga idiot you know calls “the news”.
  18. I think we've found an addition to the War Wagon. Drop-down bunks.
  19. I'll love her forever for that game 3 HR against tech. So clutch.
  20. Removing the filibuster to empower the "fascists" is an interesting take. I mean I don't love the filibuster, but just trying hold these takes together in some sort of logical coherence is kinda hard.
  21. Brat has T-shirts older than me. Whatever savings in retirement assets a person has, they need to manage them until they die, no? Part of retirement strategy is deciding which assets to liquidate, which assets to leave earning tax-free interest or distribute, how much to distribute if you take out more than the RMD, whether/how long to keep money in traditional savings accounts or CDs where they are - or put that in brokerage accounts of whatever risk factor you are comfortable with, etc. If a person keeps all of their assets in the same financial products over the course of their life from retirement until death, that seems stupid. I think I need a little more sophistication than just taking out 4% of my 401(k) every year. Hence my original question. I also haven’y retired yet. But thanks for the kind words and best of luck with your planning as well.
  22. Jimbo, sitting on his coach, is still in the in the top 30 for yearly salary lol
  23. I just signed up with Kalshi last week to test it out with a small Ryder cup bet. I like it. I'm hoping they will have individual win markets for PGA tour events next year as that is what I'm primarily interested in. On the football side it was interesting watching the market change in real time watching the Georgia Alabama game Saturday night. I could see where the market approach could overtake the traditional betting sites because of the hedging opportunities but don't see how they would be able to compete with the parlay offerings of those sites.
  24. Fuck that guy for not wanting to talk to his father who risked everything so the ingrate son could have the very life that he's now mad about losing.
