  1. Past hour
  2. I thought about starting a thread to ask how common this is. The last two funerals I've attended have been sports themed. My cousin's aggy funeral in 2016, which I've written about on here. *Story spoilered below for those that have seen it. Very awkward. Last week's funeral was a friend of mine from Knoxville. I lived there for 20 years before returning to Texas in 2017. Anyway, both funerals requested attendees to honor the sports teams associated with the deceased.
  3. I saw this guy trying to walk off with one of my Juliet tomatoes.
  4. Findley, eh? Not every day a Reese Bennett post is followed immediately by something almost as intelligent as his.
  5. Patrick Ewing's favorite game!
  6. fixed for accuracy https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5701165/2024/08/19/2024-heisman-trophy-odds-dillon-gabriel-carson-beck/
  7. Wait, texifornia is gay? And that's his wheelhouse? Damn.
  8. So is poker legal online now in Texas? How is Hijack poker being pushed by TCH?
  9. Seen walking in Paul Revere’s hood. Boston doesn’t seem to play.
  10. Morikawa needs to get his shit together ASAP with the Ryder Cup looming. Dude has been on a caddy carousel this year, and he still can't control his shot shapes. And he's been chippy with the press. Something's off.
  11. Nagy sounds like the exact kind of prick who thinks he’s smarter than everyone else, because of whatever nfl and nfl adjacent experience he has, but is completely out of his depth. Like charlie Weiss strategic and tactical advantage bullshit. The guy was just a fucking scout and worked at the senior bowl. He’s like the Brett Yormack of Oklahoma. And look at this goofy motherfucker and his Hayes Fawcett bio pic that will get @texifornia rock hard: Look at him. That is a man who will slide up to the urinal right next to you when there’s 15 other open pissers.
  12. Took the boys out in USVI for their first time. Got on some mahi. Had another 10 or so barracuda that gave them some action. Few other little smaller things. The boys had a blast. I can’t imagine the shit hookit is getting into out there. Nice stuff
  13. There was a path for this Venables shit to work. Hit the Christian culture thing harder than Dabo, and convince recruits Austin was the devil. Hell it recently worked with Fasusi. Instead, they turned to Nagy’s Moneyball bullshit because it was cheaper and didn’t require staff to follow boosters into the bathroom to ask for NIL contributions. Great approach in the Big 12, but they’re going to get killed in the SEC.
  14. Went to my one and only game of the year today. Not optimal . Just a listless experience. Highlight was that I got the Hoya bean hidden ball in the can game right.
  15. GenX out there LIVIN. Nice stuff.
  16. The problem with this approach is that it assumes you can find equivalent 5* talent shopping in the bargain bin. I bet there aren’t many instances in which OU finds a 3* who’s just as good as a 4 or 5*. It’s more likely they’re having to settle for the best they can get with the limited funds they have.
  17. Stros are so bad they f’ed up Sports Radio 790.
  18. I remember a guy that used to go to Zilker with his dog that did that. He was probably 50+ year old with dyed black hair and rode like an older Kawasaki or Honda.
  19. I respect the Napier hustle. Took Lagway as a hostage, convinced UF to use his buyout money on NIL, and then sold this bullshit to podcast verse namely Andy Staples and Bud Elliott. Absolute agent masterclass in how to save your client’s job. UF recruiting still sucks, but they’ve talked themselves into anything is possible with Lagway/dark horse national championship bullshit. Lagway is great, but they just don’t have enough dudes.
  20. The concern for Horns fans should be once we get to the final 8 will we make the critical plays. Oline. We don’t have but 1 returning starter, but Hutson, Goosby and Campbell have starts and reps against high quality opponents. We aren’t relying on guys new to the program either. For a first or second year to guy to log reps, they’ll have to beat out a guy that has been with the program 3 or 4 years. This is how transition should look. And, yes, Arch will likely tone down the aggressive nature of the opposing defense. Sark will need to call a few to gain that respect though. And I’d wager that Wisners experience helps too.
