Government Shutdown 2025: This Time It’s Personal
Tuco replied to Bozo_Casanova's topic in Cloak Room
The biggest thing that would put the 2026 midterms at risk is a robust stock market and economy. That's not why the Dems should hold their ground here, but Trump and the GOP has way more to lose on a recession, and they know it. -
Health Dept shut down Uncle Julio's with 42 demerits. If anyone ever at there, now you know why you got the trots...

Maybe they're telling the truth and inability to maintain the plants is coming home to roost?
-
You're not wrong. The biggest fault of Klein's premise (doing whatever it takes to win back Republican voters so Dems are in power and can enact good policies) is believing the other side would sincerely give Dems a chance. Also trying to placate Republicans with disingenuous talking points will just bite you in the ass sooner than later. Coates is steadfast in his morality. It's fascinating to watch the dichotomy between these two.

Maybe Florida isn't a sleeping giant that is just waiting for us to give them a little bit of hope to unlock the 5-star, Top 15 talent that they have all over the field but couldn't unlock themselves without the generous help of By Gawd UT. Maybe we play a bit conservative, Arch throws for one and runs for one, has a solid, if unspectacular game, and the defense strangles their ass and makes them execute play after play as they try to slog their way to 3 points each drive. I trust Taaffe in center field if they want to go deep. I trust Pete K will be just fine taking away the deep ball and insisting they try to nickel and dime their way down the field. It's kinda what our Defense excels at. 20-13 Texas. Leave Florida with a win and prepare for a better matchup with a healthier WR and RB room ready to unleash some wrinkles.

I used to office close to them as well and they had a good Philly. Grilled chicken sandwich at Patsy’s was great too.

Don't underestimate how bad he wants that Piece Prize. Any day now, I'm expecting Congress to just make up a new one and give it to him.

No kidding. If even half of those quotes from Cathy are accurate, she should get walked out the door immediately. Talk about working against your own self-interest. Such unjustified arrogance.

Early Chappelle was the only good Chappelle. I saw him at COTA right after he got back from his “journey” and he was just bitter and not funny.

Agreed. I didn't realize how big the Louvre was. A single wing is basically an entire museum by itself. Question for you. You've been to France a lot. How much French do you know?
-
Sharing news of a proposed peace plan in the news thread = racism. Got it. That word has no value anymore. Well, Brian Fantana of Surly Horns, you should jump on your best phone and let the leaders of all these countries of these reasons why they shouldn't be wasting their time with this. You should educate them. They have no skin in the game and haven't considered everything.

What if he is a clone? Have you thought of that?
-
Well good job all. Yet another poster coming in here just trying to have a conversation and we ran him off because you’re all big meanies.
-
If we win the turnover battle we should win imo, and I'll bitch 50% less if we just look decently decent on offense out there. The defense will Def be ready to throw diff looks in sec play as last year. Can't wait.

Who's been covid vaxxed? Stand up and be counted.

That and the hand job, but to get the hand job you have to go behind the store out by the dumpsters, and the guy giving it doesn't even check your receipt. -
Game Week Thread 2025 Game Week 5: Texas at Florida
Codaxx replied to Wulaw Horn's topic in Football
Their Right tackle is a worn-down speed bump. Florida would trade Bryce Lovett for Connor Stroh on the wire. Overall: 39.1 Run Blocking: 62.8 Pass Blocking: 27.1 (from AI, so might not have the last game in those numbers) That is where you attack on pass rush situations. Overload the right side. Bryce Lovett had a drastically inconsistent 2025 season according to PFF data, starting with a 0.0 pass block grade against Miami and a 27.1 in a subsequent game.. I honestly did not know you could get a 0 from PFF Vs Miami For starters, none of the Gators’ offensive linemen had a PFF grade above 70. The closest to that number was Knijeah Harris, who received a 64.5 offensive grade. The numbers get even worse when focusing on pass and run blocking situations in isolation. There were just two Gators to have a 70-grade or better pass blocking grade, and only one of them was an offensive lineman in starting center Jake Slaughter (70.6). Outside of him, every offensive lineman who saw the field had a PFF pass blocking grade below 35. -
Or so I've been told...
