  2. Demonic ideologies… hey girl hey! I’m so glad im an introvert that works from home.
  3. he says that we, as a society, have accepted that the benefit of driving cars is worth 50k dead. that's what he's conflating and you're suggesting others are being dishonest about his positions? he speaks of an armed citizenry and how it's worth some deaths to have it. he doesn't mention (in that clip) that the gun death total is on par with car accident deaths, if not higher. he mentions the benefits to cars and driving but doesn't mention the benefits to having an armed citizenry. i wonder why. he spends the rest of the clip saying that all you need to avoid gun deaths is to have armed guards outside of (fill-in-the-blank / wherever gun deaths happen). he wants more armed guards outside schools is (i imagine) the point he was trying to make in the clip. i'm sure we have plenty of public funding to make that happen. he says there are no longer shootings at baseball games because there are armed guards outside of baseball games. there are 15 baseball games a day for 6 months. there are 150,000 schools. but sure, people are being dishonest about his rational and realistic positions. you don't have to get into his hate-speech, racism, sexism, or christian-white-nationalist-speech to understand exactly who he is. i'm not going to celebrate his death. but i'm damn sure not going to celebrate his life.
  4. That was supposed to be the couch fucker but he decided the kirk memorial was more important than the 911 memorial from a different angle - he also reportedly fell asleep during the ceremony
  5. toronto played like a #1 astros played like a #4/#5 we have 3 weeks to catch fire
  6. I’m sorry @Macklemore which part of my post was inaccurate that warranted a middle finger? Are you claiming your first marriage didn’t end because you got high and fucked a bunch of dudes? According to some interpretations of scripture, you’re going to rot in hell for engaging in homosexual behavior. How does it make you feel to know your soul is going to burn for eternity, since you claim to be such a devout Christian? You know, other than all the gay sex, the lying and cheating, the breaking of marriage vows, etc.
  7. Damn.... The man died 31 years ago and I had a hard time holding it together watching that Catherine O'Hara eulogy. For some reason, the CHP shutting down the 405 & 10 broke me. Can't wait to watch this.
  8. This is all a binary game with the right. They will do whatever it takes to win. Lie, cheat, steal. And guess what, it's working! They have the Presidency, Congress, courts, law firms, tech companies, and media. Total domination. It's been a hostile takeover of our country and culture. One of their kind fucks around and finds out, and they go ballistic. Don't fall for it. You can keep your strong moral compass without placating disingenuous people. Sometime in the future, the history books will look back at the traitorous and amoral beliefs and actions of the current American right. Stay strong and continue to push back on it.
  9. I'm not presuming anything, but did someone hire some more etsy witches?
  10. I can’t imagine the Rainey Ripper puts their activities on any electronic device. That would be dim.
  11. I know two doctors personally that were there. Fathers of friends. /csb
  12. They're gonna have a problem with corporate use cases. TLS tunneling is intrinsic to networking as a protocol, they can't really turn it off unless they completely abandon modern information technology
  13. I’m seeing a lot of this kind of thing today reposted by old friends - good, kind people who are personally apolitical but products of their communities, which are entirely immersed in the MAGA-social media-megachurch complex.
  14. Another reason why offseason practice reports are horseshit. We heard about Connor Stroh looking impressive, and all we've seen is him get tossed aside like a ragdoll. Same with Christian Clark, who runs for like 2 ypc.
  15. My daughter is a sophomore at Ole Miss. Just about my entire ex-wife’s family went there and she loves it there. And why not? Oxford is charming as hell and the campus is gorgeous. That place is racist AF (yet I find it hard to throw stones considering what Texas and UT is turning into). I’m sure my daughter is one of not many liberals on campus. I drove her back for her sophomore year a few weeks back and found the best little mom-and-pop Italian place. It’s owned by a married couple. The wife came by our table and chatted us up. She was incredibly nice. FF to a text from my daughter late last night. Apparently, the lady posted this on Instagram: Probably not a great idea in that environment — but she ain’t wrong. They had to shut down their Yelp page after getting repeated 1-star reviews. She also served as an executive assistant to a high-level Ole Miss administrator. She’s been fired. I bet the restaurant is not long for this world either, which is a damn shame. https://www.hattiesburgamerican.com/story/news/2025/09/11/ole-miss-fires-employee-over-social-media-post-on-charlie-kirk-shooting-death/86097846007/
  16. You had me at pie. Thank you!
  17. Man, I think this hits it squarely on the head as to why I started this thread. If college students these days are this ... regressive (I guess?) socially speaking, it feels like we are setting ourselves up for a real different experience for my kids and grandkids. I remember being in high school and college and reading about the Scopes Monkey Trials and thought "man, what idiots, who would ever push that stupid religious-based science to be taught in schools when we have the Bill of Rights and the separation of church and state." But it looks like my kids will get to live through a new era that is just as ridiculous.
  18. "What Charlie Kirk's death has taught me about Enterprise Sales"!
