  1. Past hour
  2. "BuT hE SAiD ChiLDlIkE!1!!" /JD Vance probably
  3. Probably. I also think this Friday will have the Arab streets quite excited.
  4. No one here wants you to act this way. Any chance you could stop?
  5. I wonder if Qatar will stop hosting negotiations at all after this?
  6. Larry David= Tom Brady Jerry Seinfeld= Bill Belichick
  7. Answering the broader question, the young are always/usually/often idealistic to the point of being ideologues, with the attendant intolerance of the status quo or other notions. Historically, that's taken the form of utopian and other pretty impractical notions that are identified with progressives or liberals. So, it's a bit startling to see these retrograde ideologues cropping up. So it seems that it may be six of one, half a dozen of the other. However, I think the liberal idealism is a more natural result of new autonomy and exposure to new ideas. That is, the reason that higher education is progressive by its very nature, as opposed to the result of some sort of political influence or indoctrination. This retrograde idealism is definitely a product of indoctrination.
  8. You saw the upside and downside vs OSU. The long pass to Endries (amazing throw) and to Livingstone in tight windows were beautiful. The Wingo connection is just pure ugliness; not sure I can even attempt to figure out the issue there. Things are going to look a lot different this year. OL looks to be a work in progress, that is going to make the offense inefficient. Screen game is much smaller portion of the offense. The passing game is more vertical. Just after 2 games this appears to be a boom and bust offense that will be reliant on explosive plays to score. Sark is going to have to identify something to bring up the floor that the offesne can execute efficiently. I did see him experimenting with some straight drop back quick game vs SJSU. That may be the answer to raise the floor.
  9. None of this makes any sense
  10. Bookmarking this for the eventual "thread-defining posts" thread.
  11. That's it. Beef jerky and pickled stuff.
  12. Here’s another one. It’s melancholy with a positive message but it hits right when your heart is aching. It kind of paired with the title track.
  13. Fire Sark. He is literally shitting away the National Narrative Championship. Well, maybe figuratively. But y'all know what I mean.
  14. This is what Clinton wrote. Not that it matters. If he had drawn a picture of a girl and talked about how fun it was to rape them I'd be disgusted and hope for the worst for him. Jeffrey – Happy 50th – It’s sobering, isn’t it, to learn later to how, after all the years of learning and knowing, adventure and worry, it is best to have your childlike curiosity, the drive to make a difference, and the solace of friends. Bill Clinton
  15. Even worse…deebo Samuel plays on Washington now, so it’s not even a current player lol
  16. I'll take the over on 3K BYU attendees. Maybe the resident Tech fans can report back after the game.
  17. That is and has been Stanford’s MO under Hambly. They don’t mind 20+ errors if they get 10+ aces and force opponents into abysmally bad passing. It’s when they have 20+ errors but they do not exert enough pressure in forms of aces and taking teams OOS
  18. Are you AI? You have to be AI or you’re fucking with us, right?
  19. my feels are we don't have a logical foundation in our domestic league so whatever we do with european-quality players is not going to matter we are not ready to play the modern 4-3-3 with a squad built around 4 or 5 players that regularly feature in the big 5 leagues with the rest riding pine or seeing minutes after the hour trying to play across the back touch line against turkey and suisse was the most incompetent display from the nats since the 06 opener against the czech poch thinks he can take us players and run them out like pep or arteta and we just don't have the cultural foundation for that the last hope for a continued upward trajectory towards next year ended when jurgen was fired 9 years ago if we went back to a full-sam 42 counter we would threaten competence
  20. There are very, very few “genre-defining” movies, by definition. This is turning into a thread where we list movies we like.
  21. I'm not looking for things to criticise, I'm stating concerns over extremely inconsistent play. The short Livingstone pass is the upside - against a relatively pedestrian team and defense. I worry about the downside against MUCH better opponents if we don't start seeing actual development week over week. My issue is not that in week one against the defending champs he had some struggles, it's that he had the same struggles in week two against a WAY worse defense with much less complexity and stunting to make his reads harder like OSU did. Two datapoints lets you draw a line, and I'm eager to see improvement and growth so that line points to better outcomes. And yes absolutely his footwork is better than QE - he's not self-sacking and is successfully extending plays and is manufacturing opportunity. I would just like those play extensions to end with a ball in our recievers hands, not kicking up a rooster tail in the turf
  22. People lambasted Stanford for its 23 service errors, but these passing numbers explain why they served the way they did. Serving tough loses some points but also disrupts the opposing offense significantly.
  23. The funniest part will be when Cargill and Archer Daniels Midland get a fat check with a DJT signature.
  24. Here’s some boots to go with that:
  25. Favorable schedule overall, TBH, considering we don't play Iowa State at all and Kansas State/Arizona State look like they aren't nearly as good as advertised, though they are both the types of teams that can look like shit early on in the season and then catch some momentum. Hard to come back from losing at home to this year's Army team, though.
