  2. In the PNW, the only people carrying umbrellas are tourists. You have to learn to wear the right gear (waterproof jackets, wool, layering) and GET OUTSIDE no matter what the weather is. Merino wool sweaters were my best friend when living up there for 25years. My best friend's daughter (architectural major) is also a sophomore at UO and loves it. But she is also a from WA st.
  3. C-Man

    South Park

Adding on to a few of the comments from earlier today. HED: ‘South Park’ Heads to a Militarized D.C. in Next Episode, Then Will Skip Yet Another Week https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/south-park-militarized-d-c-new-episode-promo-1236348693/
  4. I believe that was for 2008 and being salty about ou jumping us
  5. A professor did it as some sort of survey for a study. The results surprised him and they went out and got it published. It's not like it was just some clickfarmer leveraging the Texas brand. I forget the methodology, but I feel like there was a plurality of voting involved, not just naming one opponent.
  6. Shitty part is they are probably only painting the US side thus making it harder for illegal immigration to Mexico when this oligarchy is fully rendered a smoldering hellscape.
  7. Arch too smart for POS Kirk Bowels.
  8. ICE been hitting places in Austin. Saddled up to the new bar in the hood and the bartender told me ICE had just raided the "card house" in back (separate gambling house but in same complex). From the looks of folks that hang out there it's amazing no one got shot
  9. When issue polls are conducted, policies that Democratic officials and candidates support are pretty much always overwhelmingly popular. I'm talking 60%+ in favor. Meanwhile you look at polls of nearly every issue the GOP cares about and it's like 35% for or worse. If prioritizing or supporting unpopular policies was an electoral problem, the Republican party would be about as popular as the Green party.
  10. This Cajun joint in Round Rock seems ok, but I just go there for the CFS - but Mrs. Brat likes their shrimp dishes. https://www.thelouisianalonghorncafe.com/menu
  11. It's the Sydney Sweeney of yesteryear.
  12. They have a brick and mortar in Lincoln Village.
  13. Big 12 should post photos on their social media of them making tacos with them
  14. No she doesn't. Es mia cabron. Hands off.
  15. They may not like Texas, and they may look forward to that game, but no way in hell do I believe most OSU fans consider Texas a bigger rival than bedlam. I'm not really buying WVU, KU, or KSU either. thats some made up clickbait bullshit, which probably explains why the site sportsrivalry.com no longer exists.
  16. Looks like Kazakhstan, “very nice”, is ramping up uranium production... hence the 20% drop. Don’t really understand why uuuu is sitting on all this uranium. Sell it so we can fucking dump this stock.
  17. They're painting it black because ... wait for it ... wait for it ... wait for it ... https://apnews.com/article/trump-border-wall-paint-black-immigration-crossings-978acd21269cd917b97ba6cb9077bc71 I 100% believe this is a "Donald Trump idea." It's full-blown Idiocracy time at this point.
  18. Oh good grief, no one is saying Sark is headed to the NFL. Athletic Directors and Boards of Regents have to plan for scenarios even if they are only remotely possible. They did a few years ago. Nowhere in the last two pages did anyone say he was leaving for the NFL. The whole point was that Traylor was given a heads up a few years ago that he might be in play for one of the bigger jobs down the line, so working hard to beat those teams is pretty important to him. That’s it. That’s the only point. The reading comprehension on the last page is ridiculous. Jesus. I feel like I’m conversing with a bunch of ADHD teenagers.
  19. So, this is where the Italian snobbery comes out... I wouldn't go to Reale's. Very Italian-American and I'm trying to wrap my head around $17.99 fried calamari. Anyway, Austin just kind of sucks for your "trattoria" type Italian places... good quality unpretentious Italian food that is reasonably priced but well executed. That's why I mentioned Giacomo's in Houston. Artipasta is good but its a food truck... owner is nice and he does a great job. Its not like Dolce Vita where I can go on a Sunday and have a two hour relaxed lunch (sniffle sob sniffle). I DO like Bufalina and particularly for happy hour. Austin's Italian food scene sucks. For the whole sheet, right? RIGHT???
  20. Holy Shit, my boy is in the same dorm and even closer to the stadium. Dropped him off on the 9th. Target was like thunder dome. So many soriety girls in matching shirts everywhere. SEC SEC!
  21. Ditto - I'm a big Platonic fan bc of Rose Byrne. Her, Rogen, his 3 buddies, her friend - they are all great. The husband is a dud of a character, tbh, but it's not about him.
  22. We miss Frank and Angies too - not 5 star, but solid and a great place for a casual dinner with friends. I hear good things about Sammies food....but the freaking prices are insane. Spaghetti with meatballs? $34. Lasagna? $38. Pasta dishes are all around 50% pricier than at North Italia. Dude. It's f'n spaghetti and meatballs. I had a nice plate of that at a real-deal Italian restaurant in Boston's North End a few weeks ago for $20 or so.
  23. I hope this will quiet some of the whinging from the pussies who don't want to schedule good OOC games and prefer that we go the SEC cupcake route.
  24. I love in PA...wawa is overpriced garbage.
