I mean it wasn't even like it was an inbounds pass, or a pass he just got, and then started walking...the fucker literally dribbled up the court with the ball.  Stopped.  Took 3 steps about as calmly as possible, then started dribbling again.

Absurd.

Blind resume time:

Player A: 25.0 ppg, 6.3 ast, 3.9 reb, 0.6 stl, 41% 3P%, 95% FT%

Player B: 18.7 ppg, 7.3 ast, 3.9 reb, 2.0 stl, 40% 3P%, 88% FT%

who are they?

Brogdon? He's been killing it, not sure he has that many assists.

that's a really good guess, but it's someone else. and TG is correct that A is Devin Booker. B is someone similar to Brogdon in the sense that his name would not be the first one to come to mind when talking about a pretty favorable comparison to one of the best combo guards in the league.

Why would the Cavs start publicly shopping Love a year after signing him to an untradeable contract? They are idiots. I'm sure he'd be intriguing to the Pacers, Blazers, or Nuggets, but not on that contract.

Chris Paul got traded.  No contract, except for maybe John Wall, is untradable.

Yeah, Russ is a huge downgrade from CP3. Really wish they didn't make that trade, unless they can flip Russ for someone else. I just don't see him being a net positive by the end of his time here.  Maybe they can flip him for Kevin Love... lol

i shudder when thinking how much worse he'll be in 2 or 3 years in a Rox uniform. Can't dump him. Smart thing is to limit his minutes to 15-20 and NEVER when the game is on the line. He's a psychopath, cares nothing about anyone else.

he's not wrong. Luka is playing like he's Magic Johnson, who is better than Dirk. now there's a difference in "better" and "greater", and while Luka has a long way to go to catch Dirk in greatness, he's already a better all around basketball player than Dirk ever was. He could literally not get better for the next 10+ years of his career and win multiple MVPs. The guy is amazing.

Luka is averaging 30/10/9 as we speak, and barring an injury he will be in a two-man race for MVP with the second greatest player of all time. That's pretty fucking outstanding. During Dirk's best three year stretch, from 2005-2007 when he was named first team All-NBA three straight years including NBA MVP in 2007, he averaged 25.7/9.2/3.1, and that includes making 7 FTs per game. Now, while these simple averages don't tell the entire story, it's pretty absurd to act like the first guy couldn't possibly be better than the second guy. Greater? No, not even close. Better? There's absolutely a discussion to be had, and imo Luka now > Dirk in 2007.

I think most folks simply want a sample size larger than less than 30% of a season, that's all.  Example, Derrick Rose had a season (really 2) comparable to any single season as Kobe Bryant, but almost no one is going to say he's greater or better than Kobe.  Longevity has its place and small sample sizes can be misleading at times.  If Luka keeps this up all season then I think a really good debate may be, who's ceiling or apex was best?  Or who had the best single season?  That's all.  I think it's fine for folks to say, let's take a second and ensure Luka can do this for all 80ish games.

EDIT:  And I understand a season or 80 games is sort of arbitrary but it's the arbitrary duration which the NBA has chosen.  If the league was only 68 games then it would probably be that tenure.

1. Is there anyone more delusional in the NBA than melo???

2. Devonte Graham is playing out of his mind on a 3 year 4M contract. His contract ends in 2022 with 60M also coming off the books that year for the hornets. He has 2 more good years and he’ll get the joe Johnson treatment with a big deal that he wouldn’t sniff if he were on any other team.
