  1. In the wake of that, Dan Rather’s career effectively ended. In the wake of spewing lies like an open spigot, including being the leader of the birther movement...you decided to reward Donald Trump with the presidency. You don’t want to play this game.

  2. in a thread about....<checking notes>....donald trump, fozz wants the surl to stop talking about...<checks notes again>....donald trump, and start talking about....<checks notes>....tankers on fire in the middle east. out of the following tweets the president has sent this morning: that's twelve tweets from the president of the united states so far this morning, and nothing indicates that HE even knows that tankers have been attacked in the middle east.

  4. Let's put it this way: My hate for Oklahoma is well known. So is my love for Texas. If I had to choose between living in Oklahoma and living in College Station, well, let's be honest. I would kill myself.

  5. Exactly. Herman, being the nice guy he is, was yelling at Gundy and not his players. That's what Gundy asked for. He's a man, he's 40.

  10. Billy Liucci is on a relentless pursuit of bullshit right now. It is amazing to watch. He is taking his mouthpiece for aggy to a whole new level. The fact this needledick actually thinks Nick Saban or anyone at Bama wastes a second of thought on a middle of the road, historically irrelevant program that hasn't won fuck-all since 1939, is fucking hilarious. Pathological people like Liucci are really pretty terrifying; thank God these morons work in the aggy universe, where they really can't harm too many people other than themselves.

  14. The guy who used his political power to help Stoops and Joe C. wash, rinse and repeat cheating thought he was above the law? Used political power to hide the Mixon tape, free gas, Red auto, eat vomit, 2008 B12 voting to keep us out after we beat them h2h, Mike Stoops running wild on campus and playing with boosters families, dumb conference ideas to help run people off or have a fake consideration for new members....karma mutherfucker. fuck that guy. This all reminds me that Waco should be in oklahoma.

  18. It's not really a rivalry when Houston is so clearly superior to every other Texas city. Houston has 11 god damn Lupe Tortilla locations. That's more than Austin/DFW/SA combined. I rest my case.

  28. This site is honestly one of the best sources of info on the internet for anything related to Texas or aggy football. We have writers and editors from some of the sites here posing as lowly posters, radio and ex radio people, all of the 9.95 horse shit, our very own super duper mega insider in Geoff Ketchum's sock CTJ (come at me bro!), and a shit load of other lurking 9.95ers like Liucci, Hamm, EJ, and Perroni who we have caught red handed over the years passing shit from the site to their troglodyte followers. Add that all together with a generous helping of cartoon dicks, and you get Surly.

  32. Lotta hubris in the last page The defense was frustrating to watch last year and I think that's clouding some people's judgment. Those frustrating moments stand out and people just assume we can fix those problems while ignoring the stuff the defense did right. Boyd was boom or bust (mostly bust) in coverage, but he was really good against the run and playing screen passes. People (myself included) are optimistic about Cook as a coverage corner, but how will he do on the couple of sweeps and screens he'll face each game? Omenihu wasn't just a great player, he was also really clutch. If we end up in a Baylor situation next year, who do we trust to get pressure and force a bad throw on the final down? Just because a bunch of these new guys were highly ranked recruits doesn't mean anything. Even in great recruiting classes, only half of a class (usually less) will become quality starters. The numbers game is not on our side here. At least a couple of the guys y'all are mentioning are going to disappoint. That's the nature of sports and being human. It think it's safe to expect improvement at a couple of spots (Hager, BLB, S), but improvement at any other positions shouldn't be taken for granted. The take that Shark/Ossai is better than Wheeler/Johnson is the perfect example of a desperate attempt to justify an end result. Ossai doesn't even play ILB. It's a nonsense comparison. It's like saying CB will be better because of Overshown. Just not an honest evaluation of the situation. I feel like a lot of fans are falling victim to confirmation bias in regards to their belief that the defense will improve. Plus, the elephant in the room is that several our defense's poor performances were not the players' faults. We had a couple poor game plans and the staff put players in bad positions several times as well. Roach, Hager, and Locke all played out of position (which admittedly was out of necessity). Now we've got McCulloch at rover and Foster at NB. Again it's kind of necessary, but while both players are talented, I think it's fair to question whether those are their best positions. Great players might not have great performances if they are playing a position they're not best suited for. Plus, in both 2017 and 2018, it took TO and the staff several games to figure out our best lineups and maximize our talent. That was working with upperclassmen that had game tape to review. Now we have a lot of sophomores, several of which haven't even played meaningful D1 snaps. I hate how dismissive some people are being about our defensive concerns. I think we should expect growing pains next year. I'm guessing the defense will probably be about the same as this year. A couple of really good performances, a couple really bad performances.

  33. The first thing I saw on the news this morning was the attack on the tankers. The second thing I saw was Trump's comments. You really just like to make stuff up in order to justify criticizing those who criticize Trump. The news can talk about both issues, which is what they are doing. Also, it is a really big deal when a President who has been accused of working with foreign powers interested in undermining our elections says on TV that he thinks its okay to work with foreign powers interested in undermining our elections. To say that an attack on a few tankers is more newsworthy than the President of the United States telling everyone that he would happily violate the law and arguably commit treason in order to be re-elected is a pretty big fucking deal. But you keep trying to minimize Trump's statements.

  35. There’s nothing leftist about environmental regulations. The externalized environmental cost of commercial transactions must be captured for price discovery to occur. If you socialize those costs, it’s a subsidy. In other words the “means of production” are in part being provided by the public or other private parties. That’s not capitalism.
