After watching the tape, the Dunson guy didn't have the requisite wheels for them to be excited. They're stupidly late but all in on Rakestraw. If Bama wants him, he's probably theirs. Texas has the best shot otherwise. Savion Williams is visiting TCU this weekend, but Texas wants him ... now. Hoping to get him in. High confidence in where things stand with Umanlymanlymaniaman and Collins. Should get Dixon. They want/need 2 more WRs in this class. Nobody has a strong grip on where Bradford's head is. Texas would take him. Javonne Shepherd was begging to rejoin the team after figuring out there was low interest in the market outside of ATM. Hard to let him back in after firing the ol'double aught 0.0 though. I'll tell the Evans story on the non-UT 2020 thread. Let me know if there's a name you're curious about. I don't take notes, so I might remember something otherwise.27 points

Caught up with a friend of mine involved with recruiting and has seen a lot of the 2021 first hand already. Depressing shit as it pertains to the Brocks. I can't really go further but I came away glad that whoever was whining about them on this thread didn't bet me on where they'd sign. The Wykoff guy is a good take as a swing guy. Still likes Byrd a ton at OT and thinks Texas gets him. They really like the Cooks kid and were on him early. The overly bulked up guy at Duncanville with the torn ACL is overrated. Landon Jackson is a good high quality player, top 150 type, but think the services are overrating him a bit. Thinks Wheaton is overrated for reasons off the field, which is becoming a bigger deal to more schools. It's going to be a headache recruitment. Alternatively, he likes LJ Johnson just fine as a highly talented RB1 take. Jackson and Burris might both actually be leaning Texas a little right now. Montgomery is a good take by OU. Texas will sign a full class or really close to it. Lincoln Riley thinks next season will be his best team and says they're winning the title. Brewster to ATM thing was salary pumping. Herman showed no interest, for whatever that's worth. The Denton Ryan commits are fucking studs. They're still trying to figure a lot of shit out about 2021 and are doing a lot of hustling in that regard now. The new offensive approach from Yurcich means there are some open questions on direction for player type at the WR position. Valai suspicions confirmed. We'll see how it rolls out. I'll post 2020 stuff on the other thread.13 points

"Our collective wheezing combines to a roar! We hate the left. Actually, just our left arms. There's a tight, throbbing sensation in our left arms. We hate it. We smell toast. We need to sit down for a moment. Hopefully it's just heartburn. Hold on a sec. Seriously, stop chanting everything I'm saying. This isn't part of the thing. I need a handful of aspirin and a Mountain Dew."12 points

where's @TahoeHorn? Remember how terrified you were by these guys? What's your take on (illegally) masked armed men demonstrating their weapons in the capital of the confederacy on the day we honor the central figure of the black civil rights movement?11 points

"I'll never forget Sid Miller's face. It was red and looked like it was about to explode. Seriously, his capillaries looked like a thousand, little dynamite fuses. At first I was like 'who's this bloated fuck?' And then I realized he's literally exploding with patriotism. He'll die any minute but we love him. Look at him there, just pulling off a Boss Hogg cosplay. My God! It looks like his head is being squeezed out of a fucking tube. But we love him."8 points

I have every expectation that that fucking blockhead will actually show up and do none of the crazy, asinine shit he did all season at Texas. Just watch, because that's how it fucking works.8 points

Another thing is that there wasn't a Germany, per se, until 1871. And parts of the then German Empire extended well into what is now Poland. Go back another century, or two, and the Holy Roman Empire extended well into Italy and modern Czechoslovakia, etc. Those people mostly called themselves Germans, especially to English-speakers. Add in a little movement across Central and Eastern Europe, just a couple hundred miles, and you have manufactured Germans, pretty easily. tl; dr "German" was a bit arbitrary or imprecise prior to the 20th century.6 points

<Taylor> If you can't sell Texas A&M, you should sell Real Estate. And if you can't sell Real Estate, you can sell subscriptions to an online recruiting service. And if you can't sell subscriptions to an online recruiting service, you can sell subscriptions to a Facebook page. And if you can't sell subscriptions to a Facebook page, you can sell swimming pools. And if you can't sell swimming pools, you can sell temp jobs. And if you can't sell temp jobs, you probably went to Texas A&M. </Hamm>5 points

Nothing good can come from a dna test. The best outcome is to validate the status quo. Hey, everything is as is in your life. However, there are so many worse outcomes...5 points

Ladybird has had the puppies. There were 5, but the first one did not make it. She was born without a sac and had a cleft lip and palate. We tried, but she just could not get that first breath. The other 4 came out just fine. Mom is doing great. Our other pyr, Sadie, isn't quite sure what to make of them yet. The pups were born on Friday and mom did not want Sadie near them. This morning, mom was walking around the house and Sadie went into the whelping box to get a look/sniff. When mom came back, there were no growls or showing of teeth, so I think she is over that.5 points

He did not take the best deal available. He negotiated his own contract which was incentive laden based on future performance. Meaning he was betting on himself to come back just as good or better than he was before the Achilles injury. Had he used an agent he would’ve been led to take “the best deal available.” https://www.businessinsider.com/richard-sherman-blasts-contract-critics-twitter-2020-15 points

It's a shame these idiots are tying up legitimate 2nd amendment rights to bear arms for self defense and hunting into this racist anti-government militia crap that wants to be able to own fully automatic military gear and I'm sure explosives as well. These fucks are going to get it all banned eventually by not just being reasonable and focusing on actual self defense and hunting rights for ALL people regardless of race or gender.5 points

Seems this is mostly a saltwater group, but I’ll join in from about as far from the salt as you can get in Texas. Tournament bass guy that builds and sells tackle and rods as well. Have cut way back on tackle sales because the ROI when factoring in time is a killer. Anyway, started a 7’6” MH casting build yesterday on an Immortal blank. Doing split grip so it slows things down a bit. Hope to turn the upper cork and glue up the reel seat today —unless I go to the lake instead. I’ll try to post some high plains bass pics from time to time. Here is a limit of dinks from my Saturday effort. 47 degree water and 20 mph north wind made for a fun day.5 points

That was one of the best episodes of the whole fucking series. I can't believe how much they crammed in, and yet it all worked. Long goodbye. MAGA hat. Jeff mistaken for Harvey. The scooters. The selfie-stick. Mocha Joe. Leon's tappin' time. The nose in the coffee. It was greatness.4 points
