In hindsight, that seems like a huge mistake.

But it may be evidence that Sark thought he had his machine finely tuned and ready to rock, with injury avoidance a priority.  Obviously in error, and maybe/probably a contributing cause.

I can guarantee you Kirby, Saban, Day, and even Lane Kiffin would never go down this road.

If someone got injured in the spring, they either heal by the time August comes up or the next man is up.   Which means if the projected starter gets injured in the spring, the next man up is going to get the attention before summer and be ready in case the starter can't comeback in August.

Just damn Sark....  Just fricken damn,

Lmao he's adding gasoline to the fire. "Have you seen your coach melting down unprompted?"  Then having a meltdown at practice before Arkansas convincing them you'll stay and you love them hahahaha. What a joke.

Melt down? Get ahold of yourself. Sark has made one statement that was unprompted.

I guess we’re all forgetting about the university melting down after the Kansas loss. CDC had to send out a public vote of confidence. I think CDC and Hartzell even visited a practice to talk to the team. I might be miss remembering that tho.

(I hit submit earlier and I didn’t see my post go through. If you have 2 replies from me that are different then that’s why)

Wait...are we saying Sark doesn't allow Arch and his QBs to call audibles based on the defense's alignment?

If so, that's foolish, borderline idiotic. Even with today's mic'ed up technology, allowing direct communication with the OC.

Have you ever seen Arch signal to a receiver then throw a 5 yd stop route when the DB is 12 yards off? Ole Miss did that to Georgia and scored when the DB missed the tackle. We heard Matthew Caldwell audible his TD in overtime, but I haven’t seen much of Arch adjusting plays and routes.

Also the play is usually a complicated double screen that has lineman running off everywhere so he would have to change the entire play, and as soon as he tries to do that we false start anyways.

Just want to say as I heard from a customer today (aggy) and an out of state co worker (aggy) that are all coming to game in Austin who raved how a ton of their aggy friends are also coming that to the Horn season ticket holders that sold their tickets to aggies that you can get fucked.

Do some fucking due diligence you fucktards

There's a season ticket holder in my section that buys an entire row every year just to sell every game to anyone.  I wish there was something that could be done about it.

Eh, I disagree.  It's an hour.  If it's that important, take it away from the press and BMD.

No, I have not seen Arch emulate his Uncle Peyton with many pre-snap calls or signals before the snap.

But this model has failed in college before specifically because it doesn't allow for clear view of issues in practice. It works for the NFL because you don't have the volume of turnover of players in an off season like say, QB, OL, WR and TE. It doesn't allow for actual evaluation in a playing situation because there is very limited contact. Think flag football. It's critical in the NFL because you can't have your stars or even OL getting hurt. It's a required risk in college.

Beyond all that, how the hell did Sark think it was well oiled and finely tuned with all those new pieces? That might even be worse of an indictment than the error of having that type of practice.

I’m not ignorant to the notion that rosters aren’t being inquired by other programs. There’s a difference between programs poaching rosters with a coach leaving/fired than a coach staying. Those are two completely different angles of attack with one being helluva lot easier in terms of having success. If Sark had said almost nothing from the moment the first report on his future came out before Miss st to now, the fans base would screaming for some type of statement from Sark.

Have you heard Lane or any other coaches that might be in demand make similar statements? Please, I haven't heard of any like Sark's but I'm good with being educated if they have occured.

Watching this video from before the season, it’s clear Sark is not in the same place he was a few months ago. There is a darkness to him that is bubbling up to the surface and it’s showing more and more after each poor performance by the team.
Also in this interview it seems like a bitch move for Sark go for a walk immediately after practice and tell people not to contact him for an hour or more until after his walk is done. For $11M a year, he needs to be available to everyone 24/7. The best time to ask questions is right after a meeting while things are fresh on the mind.

Can’t blame the guy for taking a nice stroll to scope out the talent on campus.

So CTJ is the Rainey Street Ripper? Mind blown.

i swear y'all are just making Nicole into a mashup of more and more people like she's The Thing or something. First, there's Nicole. Then you mash the Rainey Street Ripper into her. Now you've mashed CTJ into her. Before long she'll be this tower of amassed flesh, cruising down Congress above the tops of the buildings and OH MY GOD IT'S HEADING FOR THE CAPITOL BUILDING AAAAAAAAHHHHH

the WTF is the one that I can't say, but it's the one Des Howard is alluding to

Is it the new team that Sark is going to be coaching next year? Cause if so, I think that should be a one way arrow too.

To which point? The roster or making a statement about the future?

The committee for the CFB playoff  has this language:

  • Availability of key personnel: The committee considers if the unavailability of key players or coaches impacted a team's performance during the season or could impact its postseason play.

so I am guessing Sark was responding to that? Like if he suddenly was unavailable to coach we might not  be considered by the CFB committee?  regardless of us winning our last two games?

Lane Kiffin is going to take the Texas job, while Sark is still at Texas. This punts Ole Miss out of the playoffs leaving a key spot

Crying about being poached, bitching at people saying he's leaving. Pick one.

Well coaches have gone on the record about their future since the dawn of time. Aggie fans will say Schloss answered like a bitch when asked if he was leaving or not. Whether the statement coaches make has any validity to it is not made clear till later. I really shouldn’t have to do the work for you about coaches being pissed about schools trying to poach their roster. That’s just amplified with Sark right now due to the smoke revolving around his future here.
