With breakfast and lunch which are not strictly barbecue, they are going for a regular restaurant for the surrounding neighborhoods as opposed to a destination barbecue joint.

Correct.  This is their soft opening and they're going to go on a two-week break so I suspect we'll see more tweaks as time goes on.  Who knows.  I don't hate supporting a new local restaurant.

Hey y'all, how are the ribs at True Texas BBQ?  Thinking of grabbing a rack.

I’ve had them at Mansfield and they were good for the money.

Plus they can pour you one hell of a slab if you want to add some outside seating.

A non-traditional plate at mum today.

Beef and Jap Cheddar sausage was solid, but the smoked bologna was outstanding!

Never once has 2m had dry brisket on my visits. Where’s the pic?

First pic in the middle--more than 3lbs.  I had 4 others with me and they thought the same.

Hit up Terry Black’s BBQ in Waco with a few customers.

That Waco location seems pretty hit and miss to me.  I was pretty disappointed the last time we stopped through there, but this tray looks outstanding!

This tray was great.  I went to the Waco location a few weeks ago and that one was a miss from most times I go there.

Correct.  I've been there twice this year when I was in town and was disappointed both times so now I just drive a few more miles out to Helberg BBQ.  Maybe I was just unlucky.  I found the Terry Blacks brisket was quite chewy.

On the other hand, that Dallas location has been consistently good when I've gone there.
