Is this the self firing model the cops don’t want?

No, that would be the 320 model adopted by the US Army.

Nothing amiss with the P365 series as far as I know.

365 is about as solid as they come.  Wildly popular and Sig hit a home run with this one.  It's my daily carry and have had zero issues of any kind over the years with it.

Just got my 2nd 1911 from the cmp sales.

Colt slide / Colt frame - Very pleased.

I'll get some photos later.  Nice gun - dates to production at the end of the war.

How much ammunition is imported into the us?  Is it too late to buy before the price increases because of (CR redacted.)

Non imported stuff will go up too. Always happens.

A lot. But as a percentage now Norman unbelievable amount.

Eastern European stuff has slowed down to support the war effort on both sides

South Korean stuff (PMC) still flowing nicely.

Pro tip- PMC bronze 9mm is best 9mm for 2011 platform. Ball stuff.

What are you looking to load up on?

Two constant companions.  ‘83 Cartier and ‘91 M7P8.

Way back I almost bough one as a CCW.  Ended up with a Springfield XD40 subcompact.

Yep, and I went ahead and ordered the XL last night.
Just to have a slightly different option from the X.

There’s just something off for me having the trigger sitting in the middle of the guard instead of biased towards the grip. Maybe a function of a smaller frame?

Can’t think of the best place to post this, so I’m putting it here. I’ve looked around online and can’t really find anything, but is there such a thing as a BB gun pistol that shoots multiple bbs like a shotgun? I’ve got so many gotdamn lizards that keep shitting all over my patio, patio furniture, around the pool, on the grill, etc. I’d love something I could just put in a holster while I’m lounging outside or working around the house to blast the fuckers. They’re so gotdamn fast it’s pretty tough to hit them and I can only get off a shot or two before they’be bolted away. Seems the magnetic aspect of them is the problem since they’re really just designed to hold a single shot. Even something that could fire 3-5 at a time would probably be good enough

.22lr pistol with rat-shot. Works wonders and it's not loud at all (pellet gun decibel levels)

I have a gas canister powered machine BB gun.  I think it holds 30 shots at a time.

Bushmaster MPW (BB)

When I was a kid, I sent away for one of these bad boys:

It held about 1000 BBs and ran on R12 Freon cans attached with an O-ring adapter. Incredible fun- we would rub around the neighborhood shooting everything and everyone. Of course that was when Freon was about $.25/can. I stopped using it when it became cost prohibitive.

When I was a kid I played with one of these….
Dad brought it back from France in 1945.
It’s now in the vault at Camp Mabry Military Museum.

The House's reconciliation budget bill has a provision to lower the transfer fee for suppressors to $0. Unfortunately, it only applies to transfers and not form1's. Since it is in the reconciliation bill, it only needs a simple majority to pass the Senate.

Things got away from me and I've been on a bit of a bender.  Need to recoup and recover but am not mad at what has hitchhiked home with me this month.

FPC in 9mm (FDE), FPC in 10MM (Black), MAC 9 DS Comp, SPEC V 9 Metal, and a CMP 1911 Colt over Colt (1945).

Army Brat - you’re going to have to buy another safe for storage.  At least you famously unload some inventory each holiday season for the family.  Do you need an extra family member?

A silencer, a light, a laser and an AimPoint and you have a kickass home defense weapon.

I really want one in .45-70 - just because I want one.  Love lever actions.

45-70 was definitely considered.  We went with the 16” in 357 mag because I already have a pistol and a bunch of ammo in 357 mag and 38 special.

I might get another Marlin in 45-70 19” someday too.  Just ‘cause I want one.

My son bought dummy rounds to cycle through the lever action. It’s hellafun.

For your next lever gun, you should look at an 1873 or one of its clones. That toggle link action is the smoothest action ever made for a lever gun, but unfortunately it's not strong enough for the larger calibers and it is a bit picky on overall length.

.357 out of a longer barrel completely transforms the characteristics - meaning it's coming out a lot hotter.  With handloads, you can get pretty damn close to the same ballistic performance of a 30-30.  Deer, pigs, etc. they are all on the menu at under 100yds and with the weight of the rifle, recoil is negligible.

45-70 vs an old toilet at the brush pit at the ranch.  GD that is a fun gun.  Not mine, it's a friends but I always make him bring it and I buy the ammo and clean it like it's mine after.  Whopped a doe with it a few years back.

I used to own the single shot Sharps 1874 “Texas Ranger” carbine.  It came from Cimmaron Arms in Fredericksburg (Texas Jack’s) old western clothing/gun store.  I should never traded in, because I rarely used it and didn’t reload .45-70 $$$ rounds.

I should already have one of those, and the only reason* why I’ve held off is the question of .357 vs 45-70.

*of course, the total lack of utility could be considered a reason since I don’t own land or hunt, but I that never stopped me before.
