Sickening

But Russia was booted from the G7/8 AFTER it invaded Ukraine with little Green Men and annexed Crimea.  So, of course, he's wrong again.

Things continue to go well in Canada

Even Merloni feels it

To give you a feel for Meloni,

Quote

In 1992 Meloni joined the Youth Front, the youth wing of the Italian Social Movement (MSI), a neo-fascist political party founded in 1946 by followers of Italian fascism. She later became the national leader of Student Action, the student movement of the National Alliance (AN), a post-fascist party that became the MSI's legal successor in 1995 and moved towards national conservatism.

When even SHE is rolling her eyes at what a pseudo-fascist clownshow you are.....yeah, that's embarrassing.

The old “hes dumb and horrible” in only the subject I care about routine. Seen it with doctors, lawyers, teachers.

Trumps handling and rhetoric on the Ukraine War ranges from mystifying to disgraceful.

He's a fucking lying psychopath.  I mean, and not little lies.  Huge ones.  Insane ones.

And there are people on this board who think that's leadership.

The Trump regime is really pressuring Ukraine to surrender now. The depravity of this gang never ceases to amaze me. I can never have a low enough opinion of them to the point they won't disgust me.

Ukraine supposedly has until next Thursday, Thanksgiving, to accept the terms of surrender or the US will take action.

It was really smart to give Republicans another thing to be mad at Trump about right now.  They half-assed the document so bad that people have already figured out it was translated from Russian to English.  This was literally Putin's wishlist.

I mean, the paper literally has borscht and pelmeni*  stains on it.

* I had some fried pelmeni at a roadside dive in Estonia, and they were pretty damned tasty.  They also sold nachos.  I did not want to try Estonian nachos.  But it was a beer joint, so I bet they were passable.

So did Putin get a hold of Epstein's video stash of Trump diddling 13-year-olds or what?

Much different from our current government where corruption is openly encouraged.

And Putin demands elections in Ukraine all the while nobody wants to talk about there not being any fair elections in Russia for decades, because Putin jails his election rivals, and even murders them.

And after 2022’s main invasion, Ukraine can’t even have elections because it’s under martial law.  When Russia leaves, they can lift martial law and go back to elections.  Hell, even if they could hold elections, we know Russia would not pass up the juicy target that would be lines of Ukrainians waiting to vote.

When you can't spot the mark in the room, you're the mark Vance.

Well heres a thought: stop siding with the aggressors. At least act like you support Ukraine and maybe Russian wouldnt act with impunity.

This. If you show vacillation and inconsistency as a negotiator, then your counterparty will spend their time working on YOU, and trying to change your approach, instead of negotiating on the ultimate issue.
Don’t walk in the door all loosey-goosey. Walk in firm and with a united approach.

But it’s all performative. Russia controls Trump. Trump is helping them negotiate Ukraines surrender. We know this. Ukraine knows this. They know that we know. Everybody knows.

Regarding "Trump only respects strength", that's a bit too rosy for my taste.

Like most cowards, it isn't that Trump "respects strength". He cowers when confronted with it.

The only time he doesn't feel like a coward is when he sees clear weakness.

Yep. He’s a coward in all aspects. Just like his cult.

I think it's a little of both, and I think Trump can only punch down.  Four very recent examples:

  • Mamdani's appearance at the White House.  He confidently went into Trump's space and didn't cower, didn't grovel, and Trump can't punch back in those circumstances. Trump clearly still thinks about NYC, and damned if he wasn't in love with its new mayor. He was even asked about his comments about Trump being a fascist, and Trump defended him/changed the subject.
  • South Park. Trump has constantly gone after broadcast networks to get late-night hosts canceled, because he had leverage over those networks and their licenses. Matt and Trey give no fucks and literally got paid "FUCK YOU" money and are now basically untouchable and are just fucking merciless, mocking his dick size, even doing some live-action bits making fun of him and his dick size, mocking how much of a piece of shit he is, how incompetent he is, how wrapped up in TikTok or twitter his underlings are, etc. Just showing no mercy.  The White House issued a tepid response and then backed off, probably out of fear of more of MAGA seeing it.
  • Governor Newsom. He has flipped Trump's attacks and his fake awards around and is just pounding away using Trump's wording and style, constantly mocking Trump's actions. You'd think Trump would be sending in the National Guard to more CA cities to try and put Newsom in his place, but given the previous deployment was mocked, plus he's been embarrassed to see Newsom use his own words and attitude against him, he's mostly leaving Newscum alone.
  • Mark Kelly. Trump and Hegseth threatened him, claimed he was seditious and Kelly challenged them head on. As TwiceHorn said, Hegseth probably talked to a real lawyer, plus he was being clowned for not realizing the photo was in a mirror. Trump probably recognized at some point that Kelly was looking for a fight all the while Kelly's stature was being elevated.  Oh, and Trump probably didn't realize what had happened with the second strike stuff until after he went after Kelly.

You are 100% right, he doesn't feel like a coward when he sees clear weakness.

And he doesn't understand Ukraine because Trump has never been the underdog - he was born on third base and thinks he hit a triple. In his world, the one with the most resources/money should automatically win.

One thing that cracks me up (not really of the laughing kind), is the MAGA saw:  "But Ukraine is corrupt!"

Okey dokey, so that just legitimizes the most corrupt country on earth invading them?  Like Russia is going to fix that?
