Cancelling becuase of potential storms?  Never heard that one before.

Been in Kansas all my life and that's a new one to me, as well.

Iowegians love their children more than we do.

It happens pretty regularly in the "new" tornado alley of the lower south on expected outbreak days. I noticed that weather.gov has moved around the location of Storm Prediction Center Convective Outlooks. Hopefully it isn't on the chopping block, also I noticed that it was Norman that called for the Minnesota tornado watch. That seems unusual for how far Norman is from Minnesota, but I don't really keep up with Minnesota severe weather to know if that's new.

This never happened when I was growing up, and I saw a 'nader from the school bus once.

It has to do with the recent capability of getting these big tornado/straight line wind outbreaks predicted days out in advance.  They've been talking about this since Thursday, and it's as humid as I've ever seen it out there.  If the sun pops through, we're 100% fucked.  If the clouds stay, it'll be a nothingburger.

Looks like you guys have a river of moisture streaming up from the Pacific, across Mexico, and West Texas feeding the storms in the northern plains.

Hardly any of this stuff is hitting the ground, but it goes to show how much moisture is in the atmosphere over the desert coming up toward you guys.

This is only one of the many reasons I no longer live in Sioux City

I loathed that town for a lot of years.  2 awful ex gfs, and 2 awful roommates/former friends came from there.

The Sewer and I have made peace since then, and it’s improved a ton since the early aughts.  But I’m about the last person one would need to explain leaving that town to.

The Wendy's at the truck stop on the south side is excellent.  But other than that, it is not an appealing city.  Even the Sheel's sucks.

Marto Brewing slams and goes hard.  Bob Roe’s wings fuck.  They have some good mountain bike trails by flatland standards.

Thats all I got.

Welp, one of my sister's friends was killed in the St. Louis tornado.  Total death toll was five.  They think it ws an EF3.  My sis and my nephew avoided the damage.
