During the opening series, I predicted we'd be 5-5 after tomorrow. Guess I was overconfident. But let's get as close to that mark as we can.

This rough stretch isn't all about us stumbling around. Not that we haven't done our share of that, but we've also run into some decent opponents. I don't think any of them will outdo Houston for the full season, but on the proverbial "any given day"...well, we see what can happen. Time to right the ship.

The Tigers are a “decent opponent”?

gtfo of here

and the white Sox and twins are at best around .500 ballclubs.

They're certainly not elite. But even the ordinary teams have guys who can grab a game or even a series from you, especially if you're not at 100%. Anderson, Gray and Torkelson are good examples. Of course, we all assume the Astros will have a much better season than any of those three teams.

They’ve had stretches like this the last few years for sure. Thing is, Springer, Correa, Verlander, Cole, Altuve (for a long time) aren’t walking through that door.

While true, Tucker, Alvarez, Javier weren’t waking through the door either in any meaningful sense when Cole and Springer were here. And Abreu obviously wasn’t.

We went 5-8 combined against BAL and DET (two of the worst teams in the AL) in 2021 and made the World Series.  I ain't panic.

Easy guys. Can’t win a 100 if you don’t lose 62. Right the ship. Stay the course. 🤘🏻

This is a major problem with Dusty. Julks has a big series against the Tigers, and what does Dusty do, sits him for the 1st 2 games against the Twins.

Nah, the White Sox are really fucking good, and they don't have LaRussa holding them back anymore. Same with the Astros and Dusty, the game has evolved from Dusty's way of managing.

The Tigers scored 13 runs in their 2 wins against the Astros, and 11 runs in their 5 other losses. they are fucking horrible.

Can we fucking intentionally walk Fucking Farmer today plz?

White sox are ass

Agreed, they’re the only opponent who has failed to win their series against the Astros in 2023.

What channel is this thing on?

Y'all keep talking shit about Dubon

38 bad bounces for Twins in last 1/2 inning.

Good for them.

and the idiotic human element fights back for the Twins.

Gawd I hate umpires and shitty judgment.

tucker's footprint is literally on the fucking baseline.

Fuck these putos/

Yes King Tuck was ejected.  yet another indicator the umps fucked up.

Great start by Brown.  Keep it going next time.

Abreu is just fucking nasty.

Thought Buxton got fucked on the 3rd strike call live.

This crew can't wait to get fucking home evidently.

Whatever coach taught Diaz to catch is a genius. Without the ability to play catcher, Diaz is probably in the minors for at least another season.

Is it too early to start the annual Bregman trade discussion?

That contract is super backloaded too. The Astros will be lucky to pay him $1 million per homer.

Terrible throw by Pressly and divine intervention by Jose Abreu.  What a dig.

Ballgame.

Today felt like our heroes being themselves.

Let's get back on track, boys.

14K in good weather on opening weekend with a chance of a sweep against the defending WS Champs.

Minnesota just don't give a fuck.

Target Field capacity: 39504.

I get all of this, but it’s also Easter Sunday. Let’s at least give it that context.
