Yes, I COULD assume that my language won't offend anyone or I could use a modicum of civility and not not cuss like a sailor until I knew it wouldn't offend people......

You think sh!t and a$$ are somehow not cussing? The offensive part of profanity is the idea of the word. Using a symbol, especially one that looks as close as possible to the real letter, doesn't mean you didn't cuss, it just means you're being a baby about it.

Is that what this is all about? "Getting" people? Is that the game we've chosen to play in this country? Don't get me wrong, I could give two solid sh!ts about Nugent or Palin, but if the goal here is to try and humiliate one side or the other, that's a zero sum game. As a true centrist and constitutionalist I fail to see how playing "gotcha" with people helps anything. Is this what we've become? A nation divided into two tribes that only care about keeping score of slights? What about those of us with no tribe? I can't join the right because I don't care who marries who and I feel a woman's body is her own damn business. I can't join the left because I refuse to cave on gun registration that could one day harm law abiding citizens AND I see the left careening toward full blown socialism.

So as I sit here only hands waiting on one political party to pull their head completely out of their a$$es, I must also be subjected to the daily artillery of "gotcha" tactics. It's childish and beneath us.

People need to grow the fvck up.

well sbc ain't american and it's comedy, so maybe go look for political inspiration where it belongs and not in the entertainment section?

He's pulling his stunts here in America with the intent of embarrassing Americans. These stunts are of a political nature. And last I checked, news has gone from reporting, to op ed. Even the associated press is getting in on the act of opinion based articles. And for what? Walter Cronkite sitting in front of the camera reading the news aloud doesn't make for revenue generating ratings so let's replace that with 5 people screaming at each other? There's hardly anywhere one can go these days for the straight dope. At first it was frustrating but I've moved to the point where it's just "fuck it. This is who we are....." and it's shitty. CNN doesn't get that their constant bombardment is the reason their ratings are in the toilet. Espn didn't get it even when their numbers fell off a cliff. They doubled down on stupid by re-hiring Keith Olberman who, grant you, in his prime with Dan Patrick on sportsecenter was the shit! But that was when you could watch sports center and not be lambasted by people's opinions on politics and social issues. It's like a fucking echo chamber now.

I get it, the direction of our country is important.... but sometimes I just want them to shut the hell up and let me watch highlights.

You're pulling the trigger now!

Agreed, we all need better composure... In my opinion, we are inching closer to the release lever that will catapult America into the abyss of idiocy, one social media post at a time...

Searched for the thread in movies. Why is this here? And Jesus some of the complaints in this thread are embarrassing.

So how bad will the blowback be for the Georgia dude?

Only saw clips, but the Georgia dude was primaried in May. This is in politics because it's funny that he gets conservatives to say the most vile shit, almost like they believe it already.

It's shocking these people ever got into politics to begin with.  Every serious politician seems to have a 24/7 program running in the back of their brain analyzing how their current situation could be harmful.  I remember Mack Brown, the politician/coach, discussing how he never poses for a photo with a solitary woman, or something like that.  He understands his place in the world.  I remember reading someone saying GWB's "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, fool me -- you can't get fooled again" was him realizing mid-sentence that there can't be footage of him saying "shame on me."

This is 10,000% worse than that, and they don't bat an eye.  But this guy TRICKED me into saying N**** over and over again.  No, son.  Even ignoring the hundreds of other implications of you doing that, you falling for the trick just means you have no business in politics.

holy shit, i'm watching this now. yeah, that georgia hick was disgraceful, but cheney is beyond the fucking pale. signed an alleged waterboard bottle, though he may have been in on the joke by that point. actually kind of lauded himself for the gulf war instead of, i dunno, taking the high road and saying that no war is a good war.

Is this guy for real, or was he on drugs? how in the fuck can an actual elected official fall for any of that, even if you believe it?!?

I think he's a lot like Blake Farenthold. In the old days, the "slow" kids were put in group homes, now we elect them.

A few thoughts:

  1.  I am not at all shocked that Jason Spencer is that much of a racist
  2. I am shocked that Jason Spencer is that stupid
  3. Kinderguardians is genius
  4. Live-action trolling takes some balls and a damn good poker face
  5. SBC is more of a public servant than all of the asshole's he gets to pants themselves on camera combined

Here is a stark contrast of two different regions:

Midwest Region, in the city of Detroit:
While the city is slowly being revitalized with job growth slowly rebounding, the city still has massive issues with the infrastructure of how to demolish all of the abandoned/ neglected neighborhoods from exodus out of the region...

Pacific coast Region, in the city of San Francisco:
While cost of living is skyrocketing, and needing to better the infrastructure of the city to handle the issue of displaced residents/ homelessness, the area is still growing in population with more peoples moving in than out...

No my man, what we do now is put the stooopid kids in the same class as the smart kids and hope the "smart" rubs off on the stooopid. What ever would we do if we kept the smart kids in a class where their intelligence could flourish and stand out instead of dumbing them down by slowing up their growth because others can't keep up.

Maybe the funniest and scariest 5 minutes of television ever....this is 25% of our population.

f'n hilarious, but I do feel sorry for people who wasted their time to come there. "Tell me about your dream mosque".

although I didn't see much 'scary' about it.

Did you guys see the one with Guns for Toddlers? Even got some Congressmen to agree. Now THAT is something scary.

It's really really sad how naive and gullible the bulk of the population happens to be, how easily manipulated , in this land of free education, so much information for free, and immense wealth. We really are no better than the illiterate dumbfuks of poor nations.

He sells himself to his interviewees that he is a journalist.   He is the one blurring the lines not me.

he was a real estate developer salesman/pitchman for the Arizona mosque.

This is all social and political satire. Candid Camera did the same thing 50 years ago, theirs was more situational comedy by practical jokes.

Judge delivers win for Sacha Baron Cohen in Roy Moore defamation lawsuit proceedings

Quote

A federal judge in Washington, D.C. handed a win to Sacha Baron Cohen in former Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore’s defamation case against the comedian, agreeing to let the case be transferred to federal court in New York.

...

Attorneys for Cohen and Showtime argued that a provision in a consent agreement signed by Moore stated that all legal disputes stemming from his appearance on the show would be handled in New York, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Moore and his lawyer are gonna waste even more money on a case that is never going to be won by them.
