82 in tourney at Mo Willy today; broken 85 twelve times in my life and six of them now this year. LGLG

Handi is looking good! You’re about to lose a low score, though, so need to shoot a good round next time out to keep lowering it

Only losing an 18.8 which is my worst counting differential, and that’s the only one rolling off in my next 9 rounds. Good chance to take it deep!

Where is this?

If you’re in a market for a new driver, you should definitely give the GT a hard look.

I better not, I got fitted for and bought the GT2 driver and GT2 3 wood and 7 wood a couple of months ago. I’d prefer to think it’s the best for my psyche :)

How is Memorial Park for beginner-ish players?

I just started playing but am down 30 shots since i started a few months ago.  Happy with progress since i started in April but happy in the way one is happy with someone on My 600-lb Life who lost 300 lbs…. Easy to lose 300 lbs when you are fat as shit just like it’s easy to drop 30 shots when you suck and shoot 130 first time out ( just cracked 98 at Sugarcreek).  So still suck.

I still have clubs gifted to me that were made in 1999 but now that I feel I’m committed to learning and playing this game, I’m going to buy new clubs in next month.  I’ve take seven lessons and instructor finally told me my swing is far along to consider buying since swing is stabilizing a bit.

Long way of saying I still hate slowing groups down so if Memorial Park is for like players in the 80s, I’ll continue playing at random places…but I live right by park so it would be nice to go play less than 5 minutes from my house rather than hodgepodge of places all over Houston I’ve played at that are 4-5x further.

Go play memorial park GC as often as possible.  Its a muny, it is there for people like you.  And all others.

Played first time in London today. Went out by myself (didn’t want to wait for the late arrivers). Played 18 in under 3 hours.

The course was playing very weird. I hit 3 drives which I saw land on the dead middle of the fairway that kicked somewhere to a lost ball. I can handle losing a ball with a big slice, but mid fairway just sucks.

A golf ball with an air tag in it is the next big thing :)

I hadn’t walked 18 in a long time and now I’m paying the price…
