If you see your sisters, girlfriends, mother, female friends having a hard time, this is why. Someone has the courage to speak up and it does.not.matter. Nothing short of video evidence will ever be enough proof when a woman speaks up. And even then, she can be blamed for being there in the first place. It's all very disheartening.

But Congratulations Republicans, you won. You got your man on the Supreme Court. You got your man in the White House. You must be so proud. You won.

Of course they're proud, because of the mean libs and LIES LIES LIES by someone who was under oath. Donating to Collins opponent whenever the crowdpac website comes back up, she's going to give her Senate or Governor opponent a fuckload of money because of this.

Even that became bipartisan. Nixon resigned because he was caught red handed and the GOP leadership would. Or support him and told him he would be convicted in the senate.

The dems didn’t have a Howard Baker type in the senate when Clinton was caught red handed lying under oath.

Yeah, it took him being caught red handed for the Republicans to concede.

Not exactly bipartisan hand holding. That's called covering your ass.

Oh.  Wow.  You mean....lying matters?  Get the fuck out of here with that shit.

Let's get one thing straight -- lying is now the ONLY currency that has value.  The Dems need to get the fuck on board that train, and start stimulating the lying economy.  Because they're getting fucking CRUSHED by the opposing propaganda machine.  Granted, the governments of TWO countries are backing that machine, but still, the Dems need to get on their horse.  There's only one rule of this game now:

No, it hasn't.  You want to think it has, but it hasn't.  Talk to people who actually live and work in that arena, in DC and Austin.  It is a fundamental shift.  Norms and institutions -- while they occasionally took a few shots -- have never been completely discarded the way they have now.  Again, purposeful cruelty is no longer a bug, it's a feature.

What do you expect when we Republicans have been backed into a corner by every facet of life by the left. Academics, entertainment, news, etc. I’m glad we are taking a pound of flesh and fighting. I hope we put it on even worse

I do too.  I hope y'all keep pushing further and further and further to the bottom. That way, very few of us will have any regrets when the shoe is on the other foot and you are treated like utter shit.

Keep going.  You want to make it a zero-sum game, ignoring the fact that the first fucking word of our founding document is "WE."  Fine.  Play it your way.  Expect no decency or kindness when the other team has the ball.  That's EXACTLY how to destroy a Republic.  Good job.

So fucking whiny.  Apparently total control of the government equals "backed into a corner by every facet of life."  The GOP is the party of whiners.  Congrats.

It's a political win that they were always going to win because they have a majority. I'm just amazed it took them this long to get them to agree on this nominee. That is going to take a toll.

Dems have slight edge as far as the popularity of their ideas and a significant advantage with demographics.....yet the pubs are the majority party more times than not in recent history.

Ever stop and wonder why that is?

This Kavanaugh circus is a perfect example. He was going to get confirmed no matter what. But in the process the Dems found a way to enrage the reds across the country and it could lesson the "wave" in november.

the dems suck at politics.

My heart is thoroughly hardened.  I see cruelty and laughter and enjoyment out of it, I want fucking revenge.  I'm fucking old-school and simple that way.  They thoroughly enjoy shitting on the weakest among us.  I will thoroughly enjoy their suffering some day.  I ripped the New Testament out of my Bible.  It's all Old Testament for me now.

I’d wait to see how the midterms turn out before making this argument.

The Republicans aren’t going to be doing any voter registration drives because of this.  Democrats however now have the wrath of millions of women in their sails.

Exactly.

The  Democrats are terrible at politics. They are too stubborn to do simple things like reading polling data and looking at electoral maps. They have most Americans on the major social issues but cannot help themselves running wildly stupid national issues into areas where people couldn’t care less. Then when they lose do they reflect on their position and look at the reason why? Nope. Everyone who voted against them must be a racist. And now they must be a rape supporter. Ignoring the larger issue as to why they lost the vote.

This debacle is just exhibit 1,035 as to why they cannot beat an idiot like Trump in an election. And why despite everything going in their favor they will not have a Blue Wave in November.

No.  The start is when we get to enjoy sweet conservatears.  When a government and its leaders take action and make policies and make statements solely for the sweet joy that someone else's suffering brings them.  That's when it starts.  This is just the prelude.

The worst part about the entire situation is that the Iconoclast win at all costs bullshit is going to snap back and destroy some of the things the right actually fears:  Gun Control, Socialism, extensive regulations, etc.  They are going to get it because the rest of us moderates are so sick of the right's shit that we let the Democrats win

Check out the jobs of the MOST FAMOUS PROTESTERS in this whole drama - the Flake elevator girls.

https://nypost.com/2018/10/01/look-who-was-behind-the-jeff-flake-elevator-setup/

Quote

Ana Maria Archila and Maria Gallagher were the two women who confronted Flake inside the elevator. Perhaps because they expressed such raw emotion, few media outlets dug into their political activism. Archila is an executive director of the Center for Popular Democracy; she had spent the previous week in Washington engaged in protests against Kavanaugh. Gallagher is a 23-year-old activist with the group. The center is a left-wing group heavily funded by George Soros’ Open Society Foundations. Indeed, as of 2014, Open Society was one of the three largest donors to the group.

Make no mistake. The Center for Popular Democracy is at the heart of the effort to stop Kavanaugh. A source forwarded to me an email sent from the organization: “Last week, you saw protestors interrupting the Kavanaugh hearings, trying to slow it down and show the Judiciary Committee how much they/we care. Those protests were organized by the Women’s March and the Center for Popular Democracy and other groups.”

Archila has another role beyond her duties as co–executive director of the center. She is also a member of the national committee of the New York-based Working Families Party. The WFP was founded in 1998 by the leaders of ACORN, the now-disbanded and disgraced group of community organizers.

That Susan Collins speech was so weird.  I fully expected her to sell out but that speech was the slowest middle finger I’ve ever seen.

She basically orchestrated her own red wedding with that speech which is unfortunate because she’s going to get the bulk of the blame for the decision men made.

No, they could have nominated someone, like Gorsuch, who's decidedly conservative but without all Kavanaugh's baggage and avoided this circus, but they pushed Kavanaugh because he's sworn his allegiance to Trump.

Part of the reason she voted the way she did was the over the top allegations at the 11th hour.  Republicans should be thanking Avenatti for helping Collins come to this decision.

is it your contention that collins would have been more hesitant to vote for kavanaugh had the last few weeks of circus not occurred?  that's silly.

Demonizing rape victims, mocking them at rallies, telling us that the REAL danger to society is false allegations against men, fighting tooth and nail for a nominee almost entirely becasue they think that he might help their criminal syndicate escape justice at the SCOTUS, imprisoning children....you know what? Fuck you.  I'm done explaining myself to you fucks.  If you haven't figured out what's wrong with this shit, then I'm not going to waste a second explaining anything to you.

I owe you and yours nothing.  You have drawn the battle lines.  Only a fool wouldn't see that for what it is, and bring the fight to you.  This is a zero-sum game, that much has been made PERFECTLY clear.  Every positive for you must be a negative for someone else.  I like those rules.  Let's play.

Remember when Susan Collins thought she would get concessions on the tax vote. Happening here again. She is securing the future"young white women will never vote R" numbers. Except the dumb fucking sluts you pick up outside Aquarium on dirty 6th. They will continue to be whores.

I never really liked Kavanaugh at first. Would have preferred a more libertarian/western type like Gorsuch.  But once the circus started it was easy to pick a side in the fight.

Was Merrick Garland falsely accused of attempted rape? I think his reaction would have been considerably different if he had. The average American and the GOP base have loved Kavanaugh’s full throated defense of his good name. Read the comments to his op-ed. The vast majority are in complete support unlike here. Trump and Kavanaugh fight back and are not going cowered by the leftist media and their agenda. That’s why both are tremendously popular with Republicans voters. They don’t fall into the hands of their enemies. Brett Kavanaugh is a hero of mine and to the base.

Hillary was routinely accused of murder during those interminable Bengazhi hearings and never winced nor cried aloud. She didn't even ask to go pee during eleven hours of grilling and shabby treatment from the likes of Jim Jordan and Curt Gowdey, for crissakes.

In saner times, Kavanaugh's despicable behavior last week would be seen as disqualifying across the board.

GOPs are such Aggies. Self-righteous and always the victim. They also promote a false reality where they are the only standards of good (honor code!) and decency (howdy!) in an otherwise dark world where they are the only light.

The GOPs run on hate and then claim they're elected on love. Trump is their man. Whoop!

Susan Collins speech, as poor a speaker as she is, was a pretty clever maneuver. Get the world watching as she comes to her difficult decision then have her shill for Kavanaugh. She said she was waiting for the FBI report, but she spoke for 20 minutes about other things. I had to get out of the car at that point, but there was no doubt where her thoughtful, pained decision was going. She's a lap dog to party like every other GOP.

Like the Aggies with a 10 win season, the GOPs tell themselves that they're really winners and the world will embrace them for the virtuous paragons that they've always been. They won't point to the gerrymandered districts that are their last bastion. They will project their own wicked ways on the ebil Dems.

Thanks for providing the sickness that is rotting the republic.

Brisketexan, I am being honest here, don't get so worked up about politics, really don't. I used too, but now I am more like Hugo, or Horn4life, both the same dudes, it's interesting but not something you have any control over.

She must have known that the men wanted a woman to front them in this just as they did with the female prosecutor they enlisted to question Ford. Collins must have known that she was chosen to soften the blow and appease women. Shame on her.
