Key Details of Sprague's 2025 Performance:

  • Overall Grade: 69.4.

  • Snap Count: 740.

  • Improvement: He significantly improved his grade from 63.9 in 2024, demonstrating a major sophomore leap.

  • Recognition: Achieved Honorable Mention All-Big Ten status from coaches and media.

  • Role: Became a consistent anchor on the offensive line, especially protecting true freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood

The 6-foot-8, 315-pounder and former top-100 recruit finished 73rd out of 256 qualified FBS tackles in Pro Football Focus's pass-blocking grade, 95th in run-blocking grade and 72nd in overall grade.

I certainly take him. He would give Texas flexibility. I am not sure he is an upgrade over Baker, but the OL gets better with either of them sliding inside.

Baker is significantly better with an overall grade of 87/100. Baker is an elite pass blocker, and is considered a high NFL draft pick when he announces after we win the NC next season.

If Luke Sandy is coming in as Robertson insurance I really like the move. Still a risk that Robertson might decide to leave if we land a higher end portal C. They think he is going to stay but who the fuck knows. Even if we do retain Robertson it is still a good idea to have a better third string since as we saw this year your starting C may end up having to play guard if guys get hurt.

I'm honestly kind of shocked Cruz hasn't hit the portal yet now that it seems certain Flood will be back for 2026.

Just my opinion, but I would not judge Baker at guard by his brief appearance. He was a tackle in HS and practiced in camp at Tackle. The results might be much different, if he gets a full offseason at guard to actually put him in a position to succeed.

Are you conflating baker and brooks?

Idk how I feel about Baker at guard and whats the deal on the Michigan tackle? Shows he’s not even a 3rd team all big 10

He's not moving to guard, so it's a moot point. He's rated as an elite RT and an almost certainty a first rd draft pick if he has the same or better season as he did this past season. He has an overall grade of 87/100. People are retarded to believe am elite T is moving inside in college. This isn't the NFL.

Mizzou getting picks for the Ole Miss QB that originally started the year. Austin Simmons.

Well guys, it is time to worry about the numbers.

I was thinking about the increase in scholarships to 105. Most of the discussion on incoming portal transfers has been on specific needs and getting experienced starters in, but are we also going to take a lot of guys for depth and little to no NIL commitment? I see around 50 returning players, maybe a little less once final NFL/portal entry decisions are made. We have 23 incoming freshmen.

Consensus seems to be we are looking for 1 QB, 1-2 RB, 1 WR, 1 TE, 3 OL, 1 DT, 2 LB, 2 DB, 1K, 1 P. Even adding all of those only gets to about 90 total.

Curious what are the thoughts on this? How do you balance that many roster spots with NIL allocation. Are there enough guys who are good enough to be at Texas but willing to just be depth.

I like how Bobby and Gerry floated this Baker to guard idea totally unsupported by any pretext besides the fact he’s already here and has been the recipient of big NIL commitments already.

I like Bobby and Gerry, but they say some of the most retarded shit at times. Baker to guard is one of them. Cru being the best Center Gerry has seen ever is another.

They're like any other $9.95er...they try to wish cast everything, but sometimes they do have real info, but a lot of times they're just filling air wirh methane to push out 15 videos a day.

I read something about the sharp increase in FCS and D2 guys getting P4 looks this cycle. The occasional Trinidad Chambliss aside, it seems like a good way to fill the back end of your roster with competitive guys who are happy to be on the team and get a good degree.

You are comparing two completely different numbers.

Baker is rated an 87/100 for NFL potential. That has almost nothing to do with how he actually played this year. I am not sure what Baker's final PFF grade for this season was but he never went above like 72 in any of our games so there ain't no fucking way he sniffed an 80 let alone 87 overall. Baker was mostly solid for us but he had some really shit games too (graded below 50 against Arkansas). Baker's grades for the last four games as an example~ 48.7 against Arkansas, 64 vs Georgia, 68.6 against Texas A&M and finally 71.1 against Michigan. Very solid and definitely not someone we should look to replace but fairly comparable to the Michigan tackle Sprague.

I do not disagree with your overall point that Baker would never agree to move to guard.

OK. I just looked it up and it's said he's an elite T and a high potential to be a first rd pick next year. But yeah, he ain't moving to guard. I don't know why anyone believes otherwise. They think because Bobby said it it has to be the word of God. Even if Bobby said it, he's wrong. Dead ass wrong, and he'll skip over it when it doesn't happen, like he never said it. OTF is wrong a lot. They're fine enough, but at the end of the day they make some pretty dumb takes. They're still $9.95 sunshine pumpers who put out something like 6 videos a day repeating the same shit.. So you and I are in agreement.

Like Caleb Chester will be great

Daniel Cruz is the best and most natural Center Gerry has ever seen

We have a real good shot at Ezavier Crowell after Choice left

And the list goes on. It's the psychological phenomenon of only remembering the good takes, not the 100 bad to downright shitty takes.

If we bring in the Michigan tackle to push Baker inside then I don’t agree. Baker ended the season well, makes a bunch of money and was highly ranked coming out of HS. He was a true sophomore, by all accounts I don’t think the Michigan guy is better

Jfc @immamac can we ban every fucker that talks about Baker and what position he will play next year or quarantine them all to their own board.

I personally know nothing about the Michigan guy, but I do know Baker will either move to LT if Goosby leaves, or he's staying at RT. This moving inside nonsense is just that—nonsense. Bobby probably said it t fill space on another video that talks about the same stuff they did on Coffee & Football, and then Longhorn Livestream, portal report, Arch Manning and whatever he ate eat day, etc and so forth. I also don't think the UM guy is better than Baker, who is considered a top NFL prospect next season. A first round pick-tyoe prospect.

If Goosby goes to the draft is it conceivable that Baker stays at RT and Sprague goes to LT?

Do you think Turntine turns into our jumbo tight end?

Why would it be so insane to think #6 could be better than #3?

Oh shit, that's another Gerry take. Turntine will add a lot of weight and be a starter in 2 years (I believe he said within 2 years). I googled his weight and it just says it varies from 270-285, with projections for him to reach 300-310 lbs.

I hooe he's right, but i have learned not to trust any $9.995er who constantly beat the drum on players. He's slobbered over Turntine, Chester, Cruz, and others I can't think of at the moment that aren't doing anything yet, at least. Did someone say Cruz is a portal right risk?

That would be a great pick up for them. He's a really good QB. I trust Lane's evaluations, for obvious reasons.

Would think they would target a LT in the portal. Would be really shitty if the staff doesn't know by now if he's staying

Possible, but what makes you believe he is better right now? And deserving of pushing Baker inside?

Is that why they kicked out Livingstone?

We also have a freshman K in case Elvis Grbac sucks

You're really that worried about sideline cheerleaders?

Damn he has two watches on in that pic. Maybe he’s late a lot?

Both of them are G-Shock watches. About $150 each, so not like ODB splurging on a $275k Richard Mille. Very shock resistant.

He’s played RT all through high school and was recruited to play RT here and will likely play RT in the league. If anyone plays LT it will likely be Brooks who was getting snaps at LT in fall camp.

Honestly, I meant to write that Brooks would probably take over but I got distracted. I believe you ate correct. Baker is a RT all the way, and Brooks was recruited as a LT (I believe). They'll both be in the league just on talent alone, imo. Baker is a no-brainer, and yes it's conjecture on my part about Brooks, but he's a big, dominant guy.
