He can sit out till week 11 and still have the season count for the last year of his rookie deal.

His mri of his “sore back” came back clean meaning he doesn’t get paid for being injured. Every game he misses costs him $1.4 mil each.  Jerry can also declare him “quit squad” and he gets no money for 25, and Jerry still has him for 26/27.  The agent is not looking out for the fiduciary interests of his client. It’s his responsibility to pursue it, not Jerry.

Eh, that's not at all what that means.... It's exceedingly difficult to prove someone is faking a bad back.  The MRI just says it's nothing structural they can see but inflammation and soreness can be extremely standard and not seen on a MRI.  See Jalen Ramsey 2019, so it's extremely doubtful, they'll make him play if he really wants to feign injury.  Now, he'll have to wear that brand or crown for his career, but most other organizations won't give a shit with someone as good as Micah.

The quit squad is walking off or refusing to go into a game for no reason, so that's not really a viable option either.  Jerrah can franchise him in 26 and maybe 27, but that would be incredibly stupid and economic catastrophe.  Holdouts are always about how much of a disruption does the player want to be and how personal has it gotten between the sides.  Again, what kind of organization wants this type of distraction.  Has there ever been a good team in the modern salary cap era (so can't say Emmitt) have an in-season hold out on the team and then won a championship that year?  I can't think of any.  It's just another mismanaged situation which doesn't have to be this hard.  Jerrah thinks he's smarter than everyone else and this is about his ego, his feelings, and his fear.  This could have been and should have been solved a long time ago.

there is nobody in professional sports quite like jerry jones.  what an absolute unicorn.  one of one.  who cares about winning super bowls when you can win the news cycle every single year?  his team is the at the center of global professional sports.  so awesome.

I'm at the point where I really hope jerry continues to dig in even harder and longer until micah blinks.  like it or not, jerry is right: micah's stuck on one year deals through 2027 if jerry wants it that way.  no other owner in football, in any sport, has the stomach for what jerry is doing.  when he is gone and that fat fuckin idiot son of his takes over, things are going to get boring as hell, and we'll be losing.  those will be the true dark days...  I assume that whatever "deal" he and micah discussed a few months ago is drawn up and waiting for muffaletta to drop by the star and pick it up.  it's obviously a lot of money; eventually you have to think micah will realize he can just take the deal and be a very happy, very rich man playing football.  but I'm here for the chaos.  this team isn't winning a fucking thing with that mental midget taking snaps for at least a few more years.

I appreciated how it showed Jerry dragging the league kicking and screaming into making more money.  Was that stat accurate that they stated the Cowboys were 1/4 of the NFL's merch/swag/ jersey sales at the time?  For his many faults, the motherfucker can make money.  He even lifted the non-spender/ money-saver owners with his methods.

Question: why didn't Michael party at the White House instead of the Residence Inn on Walnut HIll Lane?  I know hindsight and all, but gotdam.

I know it's a mixed bag from his own players on the outcome of Jimmy staying; but I always blamed Jerry for not finding a way to enable the continued results.  Jimmy may or may not have created the Hershel trade; but his talent assessments damned sure measured the payoff. Jerry didn't like glory hole as much as he once claimed.

That was my question watching the last two episodes.  And I forgot about the locker room incident which nearly revoked his probation.  Talk about a cat that almost maxed out his nine lives.

The other thing I got out of watching the last two episodes is Stephen knows things have to change and he’s just waiting it out until Jerry can’t physically and/or mentally operate day to day or he passes.

Jerry Jones is the Elon Musk of the NFL.  I was fortunate to attend SB XXVIII when Johnson had them on top, hard to believe the damage that a rich moron can do.
