Li in the final group with Scottie tomorrow will be great for Scottie. Unlikely to receive a ton of direct pressure.

I love this pairing honestly. LI had a great day today, tomorrow should be a lot of fun. 🤩

Scottie being as real as it gets.

Watching this again, I think a lot of Scottie's philosophy here is his way of managing pressure as the best player in the world. He's obviously supremely confident in his physical ability, the biggest hurdle is staying in a great head space.

Bogey free round today as the clear favorite. So impressive.

-4 felt so…workmanlike.

Rory’s -5 felt incredible.

Scottie is a terminator.

Yep, I would say Scottie played "fine" today. His par-saves on 11 and 14 were his most impressive holes.

Or much chit chat

Listening to him yesterday, his vocabulary is better than a lot of natural English speakers.

Scottie is so dominant now, he's -685 to win this thing after the third round. In the prediction markets, you can take the field and get the equivalent of +525. thats f'n  ridiculous.

Scottie’s in a great spot. He can play smart, without risk, grab a couple where safe, and walk away with it.

On the flip side, next closest has to shoot 5 better than whatever number Scottie puts up, and others have to make up more.

Got the makeup for a hell of a round to watch.

It's crazy how he makes elite look so pedestrian.

He’s just never out of position. He’s not super long off the tee but he’s long enough. His driving accuracy is great. And from there he almost never gets himself into trouble. He gives himself safe looks at birdie while avoiding the danger. He turns that into a lot of stress free pars and a handful of them drop for bird.

This course is awesome but with no wind, no rain these guys are tearing it up. Lots of different club choice and strategy off the tee.

That’s every British open though. “Here’s the course. The weather is what it is. Go score.”

And sometimes that’s -20, sometimes it’s +5.

What if he is arrested? Which could never happen....again? right?

I mean yeah he's leading by 4 strokes. And it's 6 strokes over the one guy who could miraculously challenge him - granted Rory has chased him down before - but that was a different Scottie.

I don't see any way he doesn’t bag it tomorrow.

Spiethcoaster birdies #16, then #17 rolls drive into a golf bag just off green on his drive -- great break has an eagle putt now 😎

Edit:  Spieth hits a terrible eagle putt attempt -- yikes, 3 putts for par

Lots of birdies available today with such favorable current conditions.

Definitely doesn't feel like a typical British Open environment or course layout...

For sure. I’m loving this week and think the golf course is great. At least guys aren’t just slapping a 3i off every tee to avoid the bunkers like at Liverpool.

Did I just see a left hand low chip?  When did that start?

anyway, looking forward to Scottie’s victory lap this morning.

I saw it too, was it Fitz?   I thought maybe that's how it's been and I didn't know.

I guess just like with putting, it’s a way to take wrist action out when that’s what’s called for.  Just never seen it.
