Fuck stroh. He outweighs me by 120+ lbs and has "training". I bet I could do better.

Left guard and center both being terrible just creates too big a hole for defenses to exploit.  Compounded by a lack of elite (and sometimes even serviceable) qb play to overcome it.

Well I don't think that will be a problem going forward.

I said during the Ohio State game on August 30th that I just don't understand what it is we're trying to do on offense. I still don't know. Our OL can barely block at all, and 75% of our play calls take fucking forever to develop.

And our starting running back had eight carries for 11 yards today. The contrast between Wisner and what Florida was putting out there was night and day, although I'm not sure Ricky Williams would have a ton of success with this OL. This is all dire, dire shit.

Oh I agree. Baugh behind our line would look like a pedestrian rb. Flood needs to go ASAP. Anyone could have put Kelvin banks in the league.

I told my dad this during the game... this is easily the worst Texas line I've seen. Like ever. Its hard to watch.

Wtf have they worked on all year.

How can they be this bad and our coaches didn’t know? And why did we not go after any OL portals? I have a hard to believing 0 guys in the portal were better than this.

I mean they were continuing to throw Stroh out there over and over and over until maybe the second half today. When a group of people show you repeatedly that they have no idea what they're looking at we should probably believe them.

Seems like Flood is spending a whole lotta time doing this instead of actually developing players. Which is ironic because the whole tone of this speech gives me a Steve Ballmer “developers!” vibe.

That’s saying something assuming you were around for the Mack days.

Oh and were easily the best 2 loss team in the world

Flood’s handling of the offensive line is a fireable offense. He needs to be fired as soon as the season is over and we should aggressively attack the portal like we did at defensive tackle. Four to five players, minimum.

This is the first offseason where Sark is going to need to fire an assistant. Let’s see how he handles his first real adversity running this program and if he has what it takes to make the change.

Rumor that Flood and Sark don’t see eye to eye.

Not that it matters but Mack’s ilk is back in Austin and sniffing around the program. Coincidence?

Yep. It smell like Holiday Bowl up in here!

Playing a 1-3 team that lost at home to South Florida.

When OL penalties are the most consistent and reliable aspect of your offense and random Joe internet poster can predict the play calls their are massive issues that won't get fixed without a completely overhaul. I'm not talking tune up, new engin, transmission and drive train. Without a entirely new offensive coaching staff and Sark stepping away completely we have hit our ceiling. Sadly, none of that is happening this year and I truly fear it may never happen.

I promise that I try my best not to be reactionary after games like this.  It's understood that inevitably as a fan we will face frustration and angst, especially as we move towards the top of the pile where teams are more evenly matched on the athletic front.  However, as I watched our team go out on the field and look like an overmatched, clumsy, weak, dumb, pile of steaming shit on both sides of the ball today, it was really disappointing.  We looked like Mack Brown Texas Football against Big Game Bob circa 2000-2004.  They were more physical than us, they were more intentional than us, they were better coached than us, they were superior to us in every way.  Their running backs were balls of muscle that took multiple hits and guys to bring down.  Their linemen on both sides rag-dolled our "large humans" with regularity.  Their team came to play.

Perhaps the most disheartening thing was watching us trot out the exact same offensive scheme in the second half that didn't work in the first.  We changed out some players, sure, but our coaches didn't seem to know how to change their plans to accommodate what they were seeing with their own eyes.  We started the second half with a drive that was indistinguishable from the drives in the first half.  I'm not talking about playcalling.  I'm talking about philosophy.  Same formations, same play designs, just different players and the hope that "this time, it'll work."

Even Napier's brain farts and Arch actually looking like a QB couldn't bring us back from the brink.  We flat out sucked today.  I hope there is some major soul-searching on Sark's part, because whatever people like Flood and Banks are selling him isn't working.  We gave up a blocked punt for a safety.  We punted from inside field goal range twice (what's up with that?  Did Sideshow Bert scar us or something?  Or is our kicker injured?).  Our offensive line has been unable to move people for years now.  Yes we've run the ball successfully, but when was the last time we were able to move the defensive line in a critical moment when they knew we were coming?  Alabama in 2023?

This team is at a crossroads and every single individual from Sark down to the walk-ons needs to decide how they are going to approach their craft going forward, because otherwise this is going to be a long, long season.

Against UF.   ou sucks, but they will treat us worse than they did auburn.  O/U on sacks for the dirt burglers next week has to be 10.5 right?

Lulz, no they aren't. Not with this offensive coaching staff.

Want a worst stat? Our offensivr penalty yards were greater than our rushing yards.

flood needs to fuck off.  absolutely no excuse for this in year 5.  the o-line is a fucking abortion.

People keep pointing to the OL.

That's a symptom, the illness is the entire offensive game plan and coaching top to bottom.

Fixing the OL won't fix the rest of the issues.

We're in Mike Notvell last year territory.  That's how fucking bad we are. Do these coaches not grasp that recruits don't want to play for a coach who....can't coach? Notvell had to raid the portal, and that's not a recipe for success, but he needed it because recruits were bouncing.

Well said but I have unfortunate information for you.  Steve Sarkisian is who he is and he's not going to change.  He's been mediocre to above average his entire head coaching career.  He is not a championship level coach.  Tigers don't change their stripes.

I didn't see it, but per IT Sark had a quote in his PC that was something like "I thought we did well with penalties". I read it about five times to make sure I was reading it correctly.

Just kinda hoped he’d learn from experience and get better . . . pain is supposed to be a good teacher.  Intelligent people keep learning.

Nobody expected us to give up 29 today, while 21 or 24 was probably about what we thought we’d score.

Florida executed enough simple concepts today and their athletes made enough plays to somehow score on five drives.  Something that has only happened against Texas a few times in 2-1/2 seasons.

They’ve earned a lot more benefit of the doubt, but we shouldn’t overlook that the defense got their asses handed to them today by a moribund offense averaging 11 points a game. 457 yards and 29 points, with 7.0 yards per play. We get the game down to one score and they give up a 55-yard TD pass. Just awful across the board today.
