We need to clean house. Sarks brought in's are failing. We need a new oline coach and a real st minimum. It's been said over and over we need a real OC but cdc will never force that on him. So what are we left to do? Wonder the desert for 5+ years?

If we don't bring in a new OC who calls plays and a fresh offensive staff..

We sadly will continue this path.

Sark is a poor man's Franklin.

This game really does speak to how terrible Sark and his crew are at coaching.  Your team is completely unprepared to play coming off a fucking BYE.  No tackling.  Both lines look like utter dogshit.  Soft as fuck play across the board.

And since the coaching is so piss poor and there are zero leaders on the team anywhere, you know none of this is getting fixed.  Which means this team is set to completely spiral out of control for the rest of the season.  They might pick up a win here or there, but there's no chance they whip their ass into shape and start playing to their talent level.  When you've got bend over and take it bitches from the coaching staff on down it's gonna be a loooooooooooooong fucking season.  Every team we play is going to be roaring to fuck us up knowing we'll fold like a cheap fucking tent when things get tough.

Solid post. We can quibble about who should starts or Arch or Ewers last year and blah blah blah and Caldwell. Sark is a major problem and if our press core weren’t such pussies they would ask sark why we look so flat as an entire team coming off a bye week. Why we disappear for quarters and halves during Sarks entire 5 year tenure here. Why he won’t get in the fucking booth when he wants to be both HC and OC. It hasn’t been done successfully in a long time. We have wtf games every couple of weeks. We look like we are a team under a complete rebuild, this is on him period. Period. And his head is up his ass right now if he can’t see what’s going on.

its wishcasting to think otherwise. Does Caldwell do better? Maybe so. Can he play special teams and defense? Run? Cuz if he can’t do all these things it don’t matter. It’s sark. Pretending it’s not will be even more painful when the BMDs come crashing down on his ass when we get butt fucked by OU in Dallas next weekend.

Anyone saying just beat OU and I don't care about anything else sounds just like an Aggie saying that about us. Fuck that rivalry and its importance, it's not more important than us actually being good. The impact of us sucking have far reaching implications into recruiting and retaining talent from exodus via portal.

It has nothing to do with Brooks, we're halfway through a season coming off a bye and they still don't know the best starting 5? That's complete coaching failure.

Well when Brooks wasn’t an option and now is I think it does. You got Stroh out, small victories.

Flood is Shawn Watson 2.0.  The offensive line is over-cooked pasta.  The running game... there is no running game.  The QB is a mess.

Sure, there were 'wide open' plays where it should have been a long gain or even a TD, but why are the players so inept they cannot execute?  Is it because they are so poorly coached?  YES.

Question: how much is baker getting paid? And does he care? Guy either false starts or goes Stroh on a lot. I dont know oline that well but that seems bad.

Baker the rt not baker the dt coach.

Pretty funny how a few of us who know what it takes to perform at the highest levels continue to point out that Sark ain't it, Ewers wasn't it, Arch isn't it, etc., and y'all lose your shit - only to lose it again when things play out like they did today.

We will not win a national championship any time soon unless there are some major changes within the program - starting with the culture.

To add insult to injury our play calling is so fucking badly predictable that multiple fat 50+ guys on Surly all called multiple series. (I'm including me in that equation)

Whole team played like shit, and that was coming off of a bye. Just embarrassing.

OL is soft as baby shit but Arch absolutely just makes things worse. Zero situational awareness and many of those sacks are him just holding on to the ball too long.

The RBs were non-existent, but Wisner, coming off of an injury, was the only RB to get more than 1 carry. Sark gave up on it pretty quickly. Its hard to be optimistic in any way about this offense, they don't do anything well.

We get Ewers. Who was highly sought after. Sark is supposed to be the QB whisperer. Sark did such a great job Ewers almost didn’t get drafted at all.
manning was highly sought after. Kirby smart was creeping like a creeper on all his highschool games. Saban wanted him. He gets here sits for two years and regresses in every fundamental.

people think putting in Caldwell is the answer need to understand what sark already has done the the prior two QB’s development. Caldwell will be lucky to DoorDash when sark works his magic on him. Or maybe Caldwell is the one and only QB who can do all sark needs. Yeah right. Tons of OCs could have done far more with Ewers and Arch than sark did. Truth.

I negged you, for a reason. I will lose my shit but this game was humbling to the point it should not have been. You seem to be lost in the herman and strong years and I vividly remember trampling teams 70-7. I want it back. And it should be expected. But we keep fucking it up. It makes me angry to the point i leave and dont watch the games anymore.

My family thinks I'm brilliant calling the plays today and I don't know shit about fuck. Even called that last interception Arch threw that was dropped, way too predictable...

All this season's chickens came home to roost today, boys...can't say I'm surprised.  aggy will probably torch them next week.

I'm good with Flood getting fired.  against any decent DL Flood's unit routinely fails. plenty of data at this point.

I hear ya.  It's frustrating to have an embarrassment of riches and yet be unable to get over the hump.

This comparison might piss some off, but we're basically the Dallas Cowboys of college football.  Brand > performance and success.

It'll never change though until the decision makers have the balls to clearly identify the problem.  Until they can do that, we'll be the Penn State of the SEC.

Offensive line you expected, that isn't a surprise or shouldn't be to anyone getting pushed around. The defense getting pushed around and beaten by a quarterback playing on one leg and probably a bad shoulder or arm also is the most surprising thing about this game. First play Texas defense doesn't get on the ball after a fumble downfield, the receiver has time to get off the ground recover the ball and lunge forward. It was all downhill for Lagway and his receivers and the running game from there mostly.

I wanted to believe.  The 'Dark Sark' thing was left behind, as was 7 Win Steve.  10 wins was automatic and the playoffs were basically a given, especially in the expanded format.

This season, after this many games, the team should be getting BETTER.  And it is not happening.  As someone pointed out, his original staff has been poached.  Now it is all Sark and his secondary hires.  And they are not getting the job done at all, at any level.  Recruiting is still good, because Texas and $$$.  The on-field product is hammered dogsh1t.

Manning was fucking trying man. He was grinding, but this game was all about some poor defensive laps and an OL that couldnt pass block or run block.

  • How many sacks did Florida have coming in to this game? 3? They had 6 today
  • our RBs totaled 15 yards rushing.
  • Florida had 33 points total in their last 3 games. They scored 29 today!

I actually think Arch would look like a decent, competent QB if he was playing under a legit coach with a stacked team around him.  Like if he had all day to throw, had a good running game, and didn't have to think on his feet much he'd look great.  Unfortunately for him he plays on this shit offense under a fucking moron in Sark.  So with a bad O-line and no running game he's got to think fast, adapt, and make shit happen and he's just completely incapable of that 99% of the time.  Once in a blue moon you'll get that side step away from pressure and the nice long ball for a TD to Wingo.  Most of the time though he's just going to do some dumb shit and make a horrid throw, eat a sack, etc.

He's a 2 or 3 star QB who, because of his last name, is QBing for a major D1 program in the SEC which happens to be completely dysfunctional and can't carry him along.

I don't mean to be hyperbolic but I am having a hard time coming up with a worse Texas running game in recent memory. Maybe back to the Colt years when he was the running game. I get that it's not just Wisner but holy shit if it's not working, try someone else at the position. This OL is also one of the worst I can remember. Just utter dogshit both mentally and physically. Two straight false starts by the same fucking guy? There is so much wrong with this that we're hard pressed to even beat OU with their backup that we beat handily last year.

There is no way Arch is a 2-star or 3-star QB who got boosted to 5-star simply because of his name. All the premier programs didn't want him just because of his name. Sometimes 5-stars don't make it. It happens. His story isn't done yet. And I'm a critic

Seriously this. He went from a dominant force last year whatever the fuck PK is doing and Sellers has done. He's been invisible for 4 games now.

I do think he improved as the game went on. But hey still slow to release, locks on to his first read and has a knack for not escaping the pressure (for which there is a fuckton). He may not be The Guy but the OL is the epicenter of our issues.

It's an absolutely horrible idea and I have no what they think they're accomplishing. Because whatever "it" is, it's not working. He's not that kind of player, at least not yet.
