So easy to say when a team like BYU or Utah or ND is getting in with horribly weak schedules.

im sorry but we can’t put our head in the sand. If we schedule OSU we are setting ourselves uo for failure.  And I LOVE those games.

our goal is to get to the playoffs.

If our only goal was the playoffs, we should have played it safe and stayed in the Big 12.

Michigan vs OSU....

Ultimately none of that makes a shit more than H2H.

Okay? What I’m saying is Michigan is not OSU.  OU got them at home and beat them.

we had to go to OSU in week one.  In this playoff era it’s dumb to play it.

and I’m a guy who loves those games.  But it doesn’t help us make the playoffs.  Only wins and losses matter. Not who we play. It’s obvious now

That was a money move.  If yall don’t understand the issue I can’t help you.

I want to play OSU and Michigan and OSU and whoever.  But it is silly to play them in this era unless they expand the playoffs.

Why do you assume we're going to lose those games?

The chance of losing them is the issue here.  Once again. You’re being dense.

also we play ina. Tough conference. Is hard to go unscathed.  So we’re chancing having 2 losses every year if not 3.

So win.

Okay you’re being stupid. Just stop.

you are not even arguing against me. Just saying a dumb comment.

Those games do make you better.  it takes balls to schedule, prepare for, and play them.  Kudos to Texas for doing so.

To your point, the Conference games matter; but the non-con can make some supporting points.  It's a GLARING weakness for my team.

Plus, they're fucking awesome for college football, which, if we're being honest, has way, way, way too many shitty games.

Except that Ohio State game was boring as shit and almost put the sport back a decade. What was the point?

They also are massive for furthering the brand and attracting recruits.

You can’t see the point in making yourself part of the most important game of the first week of college football?

We should have played Mercer.

There is plenty to gain from those games. I’m quite certain scheduling and beating Alabama in their house got us in the playoffs a couple of years ago. Winning those games gives you a lot of cred to cover up later stumbles.

Or we could not lose to Florida

Cool. But maybe play some one who’s not a national title contender?

Sark is 0-6 against DeBoer, Smart and Day. We can't keep dodging thr big guys if we want to win big, eventually Sark and this team is going to have to nut up and beat them.

Not when teams like Tech get rewarded for scheduling nothing but cream puffs. There’s far more risk than reward associated with it, especially when playing a team of Ohio State’s caliber when we don’t even have to schedule them.

You think Tech is getting in if they don't win the Big XII?

How many times has Tech been part of the most important game on the schedule during a weekend?
Why do you think that despite all the money they are throwing around, they can’t out recruit us?

yes, it would be different if we were playing similar strength schedules.

Seems something erased your memory of Barry Switzer's shit-eating grin when they announced the final 2008 BCS standings.

You are absolutely correct, as I have no memory of that at all.

That too.  Why are y'all wanting to hide a team that isn't good enough to win it all just to get in and lose?

That’s fine. Okay them in the playoffs. Not during the regular season when you don’t have to?  Other than conference games if course.

Y’all are missing the point. Do we want to make the playoffs or not? Forget if you think we don’t deserve if we don’t beat those teams. Just do you what to get a chance to win a title or not?

yall are mistaking me for not wanting to play those teams. No. I just want the best chance to make the playoffs.

Indiana and Oregon and BYU and Utah will only have 1 loss this year. Maybe 2. And that’s mainly because they played no one out of conference. That’s my point.

Well, that game was fuck ugly. Glad I stopped taking this game as seriously as I did years ago. Much better for my health, I guess wisdom does come with age. Oh and fuck OU and Auburn and Tennessee and LSU
