  4. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c79l38vl3lwo.amp Former US President Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary are among high-profile figures to be sent legal summonses from a congressional committee investigating the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Republican James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, issued the subpoenas to the Clintons and eight other individuals. The committee is seeking information about Epstein's history, after President Donald Trump's administration decided against releasing more federal files on the dead financier. That decision sparked outrage among Trump supporters and some Democrats, who refused to accept the justice department's statement that there was no "incriminating client list" in the Epstein files. Amid a rift between Trump and some of his supporters on Epstein, the committee, made up of both Democrats and Republicans, recently voted to issue the subpoenas. The panel has also subpoenaed the justice department itself for records related to Epstein. Lawyers for Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's associate who is currently serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking, had indicated she was willing to testify before the powerful investigatory committee, with strict legal protections. Her scheduled 11 August deposition, though, has been postponed indefinitely. Comer wrote in letters to each person that the committee must "conduct oversight of the federal government's enforcement of sex trafficking laws generally and specifically its handling of the investigation and prosecution of Mr Epstein" and Maxwell. He also indicated that depositions will start this month and run through the autumn, with Bill Clinton scheduled for 14 October. Former Attorneys General Merrick Garland, Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder and Alberto Gonzales were summoned, along with Jeff Sessions and William Barr, who both led the justice department during Trump's first term. Former FBI directors James Comey and Robert Mueller were also sent subpoenas.
  5. Emergency Baby is my new band name.
  6. Thought of both of these simultaneously
  7. Have they done this recently? Obviously there was development back in the Chip Engelland/Chad Forcier days, but I can’t think of many success stories over the last few years. Derrick White may be the most recent? Or Dejounte?
  8. I really don’t even think this is a remotely close comparison. First, I’ve never wept after a Texas victory. And the older I get the less a loss ruins my weekend. Sure, some of the other stuff you’ve posted is accurate. but a football victory is an achievement, or a failure. It’s not scripted, the outcomes aren’t known, there are spontaneous great plays and horrible ones, worth celebration and despair. Every outcome is different, every season is different, and there are consequences to a certain degree in the real world regarding your ability to recruit, how obnoxious your rivals will be for a 12 month period, etc. also it’s fleeting, only a few months a year. Disney is the same. Maybe there’s some different parades and shows, but the rides are the same, until they build a new one. Galaxy’s Edge is cool, but it’s the same unless you catch a Kylo Ren sighting, etc. I’ll put the 2005 rose bowl on in the background of my house, I’ll watch some old highlights sometime, and obviously I ingest a lot of college football content. I go to 4-5 games a year, so I invest financially. But it hardly rings the same to me as people who spent obscene percentages of their net worth going to the same theme park(s) multiple times a year and playing dress up and having it be their entire identity. Football ain’t mine. it’s like the ren fair people who go every weekend and travel with it throughout the year, but with hopefully better hygiene and less poor.

  10. How so? That's a pretty factual analysis.
  11. Wanna know why there aren't comedy movies any more? People can't laugh and move the fuck on. ET, a movie generally accepted as a "kid's show" has the line, "Shut up penis breath!" in it. Ohhh the horror!!!

  17. I have two daughters that watch a lot of WNBA now. I can assure you that sex toys weren’t on the list of topics we discussed at 15 and 11. Throwing dildos on the floor of a women’s basketball game isn’t humorous. What it’s turning into online isn’t humorous. It’s not something that a lot of parents of teen and preteen girls expected to have to be talking about when watching a basketball game.
  18. Taurean York first bitching about Texas coaching staff not giving him time of day was the first highlight. Particularly, after they flew a helicopter to Temple and his coach asked him to sit in the office while his team mate was recruited seems questionable all around. Then the old fat white lady gushing on York for having "sacked both quarterbacks" after the loss was extremely aggie. Elko came off as an absolute dick, but you could tell he was throwing in some "I relate to these players" shtick for the cameras at a couple of points.

  20. https://www.lecturiels.org/lecturiel/2489.pdf He knelt down, took a handkerchief from his pocket, and spread it over Francis Macomber’s crew-cropped head where it lay. The blood sank into the dry, loose earth. Wilson stood up and saw the buffalo on his side, his legs out, his thinlyhaired belly crawling with ticks. β€œHell of a good bull,” his brain registered automatically. β€œA good fifty inches, or better. Better.” He called to the driver and told him to spread a blanket over the body and stay by it. Then he walked over to the motor car where the woman sat crying in the corner. β€œThat was a pretty thing to do,” he said in a toneless voice. β€œHe would have left you too.”
