no love for fury road? it was pretty good, as far as quasi-redemption stories set in post-apocalyptic desert wastelands go.

Once this makes its way through FOX, it'll have employed a million people, much like the Keystone pipeline.

Sisu on Hulu. Retired Finnish soldier comes out of retirement to kill dozens of Nazis in more and more creative ways. Been on my list for a few years but glad I finally watched it.

Man, y’all crack me the fuck UP.

Not as much though. The sex is better with the men. For her at least.

Could this be the craziest coaching carousel of all time?

It is always better to have too much than not enough. Another go to for me is that I would rather be an hour early than a minute late.

I think it’s too odd to be depressing. It’s an interesting premise, I’ll give them that. -

The only miss I'm aware of is their pre-made rice (in the bags next to the refried beans). Stay away from that, and just use a Goya seasoning packet when you make your rice.

More Spaghetti Western, but I really liked the movie My Name is Nobody. The lead song on that soundtrack is one I’ll never forget. My brother watched that movie countless times when we were kids. The guys all on their horses in a mad dash with the theme song playing is forever stuck in my head.

Surprised to learn Tech has so many wealthy donors. When you think about it, it kinda makes sense that they’re just now making themselves known. Comparatively speaking, Tech is probably the youngest big program in the state.

Will be very interesting to see if LSU can keep those top 3 kids from current group of high school commits.

My team this season has been so fucking bad and injury plagued it's worth my buy-in in comic relief. Both of my QBs and my kicker - the one bright spot on my team - got injured last week. That's just the latest fiasco. I have also Bowers and Hubbard. Think those were my first 2 picks. So that's gone well.

The Dallas Stars 2025-2026 Season Thread: We can haz cup?

Not Stars related but the 3rd period of the Lightning-Golden Knights game is crazy so far. Just trading goals. Man, I love all the different random games I get on ESPN+/Hulu. It reminds me of growing up in New England where there would be 3 or sometimes even 4 games to flip back and forth between all the time. I have a lot of fond memories of staying up until 2 in the morning to watch the Canucks play in all the variations they had of those horrible yellow, red-orange, and black uniforms. I know they didn't wear the extra horrid yellow ones that often but that particular sweater stands out in my mind -
My dad's family is like this. Wonderful people.

Go see it. It’s all over the map emotionally. I would not use the word depressing to describe it. -
It’s why we are so well funded. So many alumni have gone to work around this oil field,” says booster Cody Campbell, a former Tech player who sold his last three oil businesses for a combined $13 billion. Eight months after the unveiling of that new facility, in the wake of arguably the most lucrative and aggressive recruiting effort from any program in the country, the Texas Tech football team is 8-1, ranked as the eighth-best team in the land and poised for its most momentous game in nearly two decades this Saturday when No. 7 BYU (8-0) visits in a Big 12 showdown in West Texas. The Red Raiders are scoring in bunches and stuffing opponents. After all, they are one of only three teams that rank inside the top 10 in both total offense and total defense (the others: Indiana and Oregon). Issues that have plagued this program for years — defensive lapses and physicality up front — are no longer problems. They are led by a genuinely gregarious Texan as coach, Joey McGuire, who fits here like a wide-brimmed hat atop the head of a cowboy. And they are funded by some of the richest oil barons in the world, a group that pooled their resources this spring in an effort to elevate this place into a different stratosphere. In all, Tech donors raised a jaw-dropping $49 million from July 2024 to July 2025, much of that front-loaded cash paid to players (of all sports) before this academic year began. And they aren’t afraid to talk about it, either. “We’re trying to be upfront about it,” says Gary Petersen, an oil investor living in Houston and a mega-donor who, with Campbell and John Sellers, cut the biggest checks this spring. What’s interesting to me, in terms of money, we’re the new kids on the block,” he continues. “Texas and A&M and all the large schools have given money to their players probably forever. Now, they’re getting mad at us. ‘Texas Tech?!’” Is this the awakening of a sleeping giant? Is Texas Tech a next new football power within college sports? “There are different times in college football where there is a change occurring that creates opportunity,” Campbell says. “I visited Nebraska recently. They got good when they figured out weight lifting better than anyone else. “This is our next opportunity to raise ourselves a tier and move into the top of college football.” Interesting read…….these guys in Lubbock mean business…..
