This is just the 1930s German playbook. We've been on this track since we failed to prosecute and punish the fascist insurrection attempt on January 6th

I’ve found him annoying as fuck, and think he’s overrated as an actor.

Well I guess I need to carry my passport with me at all times. Real nice country we got here, huh? Land of the free? What a crock of shit

As a gator fan with no actual connection to the school or even the state of Florida I’m questioning my choices

Saw Brandi Carlile at Red Rocks last night, and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Like, so good I'd go back tonight if she was playing again. Very Springsteenish, both in terms of how polished her show is, as well as how she just opens her heart and lets it all out. But the thing that's really stuck in my head was her first opener, a young girl named Allison Ponthier. Her music dealt heavily with gay themes, and then she announced that she was going to do one more song. She said she grew up in Texas (Allen), and that it was tough to be gay there, but that she still loved her hometown, but she wished it loved her back, so she wrote a song about it. And then she played this song that hasn't been released yet called, "Everywhere isn't Texas." Here's a couple of snippets: And when she finished, she just said, "Thank you, performing here has been a dream of mine," pulled out her phone, turned around and took a selfie with the crowd behind her, and walked off the stage. And I sat there trying not to cry because I was gutted like a big old trout.

Rewatched most of the game to focus on the offensive line in case my knee jerk reaction was wrong. Hutson, Stroh and Campbell made the 2010 Texas line look like the 1992 Dallas Cowboys. They were routinely blown off the ball by SJSU. Watching Hutson on running downs in that game should come with a parental warning. It was absolutely brutal to watch. San Jose State has a much better line than Texas right now.

Can we talk about Alabama and Michigan and objectivity?

Neither matters to me unless UT is playing them. I'm pulling for Tech to continue money-whipping recruits away from OU and aggy. Keep it up! -
Love me some Supertramp. My music geek fans can't understand why I don't like ELO, they see them as similar bands. Supertramp's records sounded SO damn good.

I know that as a Tech fan on a Texas board, I’m a guest and should act accordingly. But we are all CFB fan tho, right? I saw a comment in the MICH/OU thread about Michigan being overrated and were the face for all that it wrong with pre-season polls. I disagree about Michigan being the best example for why but I could not agree more about the fallacy of the early polls. And that’s why I’m commenting here and not there because I don’t want it to be only about that game. I believe the Longhorns will very much be in the mix at the end of the season and I’m not singling them out - in fact, ND is right there with them - top10 teams with losses to top10 teams but ranked ahead of 2-0 teams with WINS over ranked teams Thus my thread title: When did wins over Alabama and Michigan stop mattering ???? What has Penn St, Oregon, Georgia, Texas, ND, or Illinois done that is anywhere close to beating Alabama, Michigan, or Florida(and Boise) Heck, even Mississippi St’s win over ASU is more impressive. Iowa St has a non-con P4 win and a 3-0 record. Cupcake this, schedule that - who have those 6 “Top10” teams beat??? It’s always stated that it all works out by the end of the season. But does it? Why does “settle it on the field” only matter during the playoffs? Yes, I pull for Texas Tech. No, I’m not here to beat their drumb as they haven’t done jack squat either!
