  1. Past hour
  2. lol same sentiment as my sister in law who’s an ER doc. She was out after 3 episodes.
  3. How George Pickens performs and behaves with the Cowboys is going to tell us a whole bunch about whether Brian Schottenheimer was the right hire. Schottenheimer either gets Pickens in line and he forms the best WR duo in the league with CeeDee, or Schottenheimer fails to control him in the circus-like environment of the Dallas Cowboys and the trouble he causes far outweighs the production and headaches. It's going to be fascinating. Gotta give it up to Jerry for taking a big swing here.

Thanks. I just need to know which day ticket(s) to buy.
  6. So Bix may still be alive out there
  7. You bring up Lovecraft Country and I wish more people would've watched it. Not every episode was great but when they hit, it was pretty awesome. The Topsy and Bopsy episode felt like something right out of Jordan Peele's playbook. She was also really good in Loki. Coogler and Goransson are long time friends and collaborators. It's really cool how Coogler has his core group that he makes films with.
  8. That Louisville win should help us, right?
  9. Have we talked about John Moreland here? I would assume so but I’m hopping on the train
  10. That is fantastic! I didn’t know that- is that a new development?
  11. LHF and TOF are same same.
  12. I don't think timing matters much with this lifetime performance:
  13. Can’t wait for him to blow up that first time and then cause locker room issues lol

  15. August is not likely to be more crowded. Half of the country shuts down for the month of August.
  16. The papers there are picking up on this a little more The guy has the charm of chlamydia. His lack of charm is going to kill his chances on the national stage. I'm with everyone that says he's a non-factor outside of Florida. This scandal might not bring him down, but is going to hurt his chances to do anything much after this. He will vanish and be a non-factor from now on.
  17. I mean, it's a video . . . for a hockey team . . . in Winnipeg. So I really don't know what I was expecting. But even so--that's the whitest goddamned thing I've ever seen. And I fucking went to Highland Park High School. And SMU Law. So I've seen some white goddamned shit in my day.
  18. Yeah, but it’s Jade’s chili he’s cooking.

  20. Next week will be the daily lineup but the actual daily schedule doesn't get released until much later
  21. I finally caught it yesterday at the Alamo and had the same problem, especially in the first act. I get verisimilitude, but there's something lost when stage trained Delroy Lindo doesn't get to use that amazing voice in a way that can be understood. Also, weird to see the kid from Starred Up all grown up (also another film begging for subtitles). I love that WB let Coogler make ambitious choices and that he was willing to go there. Also, Michael B Jordan might be the closest approximation to late 90's-early 2000's Tom Cruise energy. I can see him playing Jerry Maguire, Ethan Hunt, Frank TJ Mackey, Interesting reading the Variety review and the reviewer was shocked to be introduced to Wunmi Mosaku-I felt the same way after seeing her in Lovecraft Country in a more challenging role. I doubt it ends up winning many Academy Awards but the score has to get nominated and is probably going to be the betting favorite. I also noticed that Coogler gave Ludwig Goransson an EP credit. I'm sure some of that is a flex on Coogler's part, but also maybe a statement on how intertwined THIS story was with the music.
  22. This is a terrific topic, as this (financial means) is one of the key pillars of the program. Bellmont has decades of experience in raising funds from football boosters (the other big extra revenue source is marketing t shirts and other stuff to rank and file fans). These donations funded other athletic programs, facilities and occasional coach contract buyouts (to avoid taking on too much debt). Bellmont fund raisers (there is a dedicated professional group assigned to this function) have not asked donors to fund player pay. In the past, other programs would have informal cooperation between a coach staff and boosters to fund disallowed player pay, typically five to low six figures, often in cash. Texas didn’t do that. Current disconnect- does anyone disagree that TexasOne needs should be a higher priority than Bellmont-LHF needs? I don’t know that TexasOne should roll into Bellmont, or vice versa, but I do think coordination between the two is needed, especially as the competition with other well funded programs increases. Are we moving in that direction?
