Gee, sure would have been awesome if young people--who grew up on the internet and should be less gullible to scams and blatant disinformation--realized that they were being played around oh, I don't know, November of last year.

Something about this reminds me of being in the dome for Ken Caminiti's debut. He was diving around, throwing rockets from 3rd and crushing doubles and home runs. He just did big things. Arch came in last year and threw it long, looking downfield every time (to a fault) but it was really fun to watch.

I saw him three times if memory serves. The last time, my musical tastes were evolving, but went with a friend who had not seen him before. Before the concert, I had a fair amount of apathy. That absolutely melted away from about five seconds into the first song onward. From then on, I always held him in pretty high esteem. Also, it's been said that for a song called Piano Man, that guy playing the harmonica doesn't seem to STFU.

Was waiting for this loser to face consequences. I made it about an hour into it, listening in the background throughout the day. I closed it when they started talking about Gaza genocide, I knew this idiots would have zero concept of what was happening there, and the first speaker confirmed it. It was so fucking sad how stupid those people are, and couldn't even follow the basic premise of Mehdi Hasan's basic points. And the general veneer they tried to slap over racism...just nauseating. Hasan was amazingly impressive. Just prepared, came with talking points and citations, although he obviously was emotional dealing with these idiots who can't even answer a basic point. Country is toast.

That’s some red meat

Yeah it definitely kind of ruined me for future family trip all inclusives. I think 3 nights was probably perfect as we would have probably gotten a bit bored staying longer (or found some type of off site excursion), but as far as getting away and relaxing for a few days while eating and drinking well it hit the spot. If you end up booking email hotel in advance to make sure you get a reservation at Cocina de Autor (that is their michelin star restaurant). We ended up booking all our dinners in advance but at least when we were there that was the only one I think could have been tough to get at a good time if we waited until we showed up.

They should be sad but I fucking have my doubts.

Mateer is a legitimately good duel threat QB and much better than whatever the fuck Arnold was doing last year. That offense still has to work around a bad line and receiver corps but Matter is legit good. -
Imagine being the announcers for that game and actually pretending that it was good.

Was this the jackass that started off by warning everyone to be careful because they don't want to see him get angry. Like he's MAGA Hulk. There's a weird element, by some/many on the right, to attempt to win an argument by either physical intimidation (this guy) or gaslighting (example Karoline Leavitt.) -

And live back at home for the first time in a long time. His family never left LA and he'd only go to Western Conference teams where he could take a quick private flight back home. -
Cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, etc.)
Dahobbs replied to surlybevo's topic in Business and Markets
You may be following "wickedly smart money," but you don't actually understand what you're talking about. Bitcoin isn't a stable coin. It doesn't try to maintain a value. It fluctuates widely in value (largely by design). You can't actually use it as a currency because there is no way to peg a bitcoin price to anything given the large fluctuations in a single day much less over a longer period of time. But yes, it is fairly easily convertible to dollars. That puts it somewhere between Beanie Babies and actual currency. It is more liquid than the former and less stable than the latter. -
