  1. Past hour
  2. We should all find someone that loves us as much as Sark loves taking 2 RBs per recruiting class. Do you think Texas can/will sweeten the pot for Edwards? He's a 4/5-star from out of state with a hefty NIL deal. A guy like that is going to entertain options up until the ink is dry. As he should. That's just the way it is. Sark and our $9.95ers have been talking up Lacey a bunch. To me this sounds like rivals trying to stir up shit in Bell's camp based on that. Agree that Arch staying is the better situation for Bell. 99% chance that the loser of the Owens/Lacey backup job competition moves on in that scenario.
  3. More offensive firepower conjecture from Vogel. It's at least something to get us to 8/23. ow Will the 2025 Offense Stack Up vs. Sarkisian's Previous? (Wednesday)
  4. The hanging mouthpieces have been going on for the last 3 years. How are you people just now seeing this?
  5. I wasn't a Disney kid, I was much happier just going to the beach or the mountains, but my little brother wanted to go to Disneyland so we went once. It was fun, there wasn't any family drama, and I don't have any keen desire to go back. Sounds like it was the Crucible for all y'all though.
  6. Their coach is an 800 pound gorilla and he technically has an NIL program
  7. Seems smart with Cooper’s latest comments re: taking visits to Miami. Are there legit concerns there with Miami getting him to flip? Sorry in advance if it was already discussed up thread.
  8. The real post NC fireworks celebration will be in this thread
  9. You left out "Danny Akers in at QB, drops back to pass, center steps on his feet and Akers self sacks".
  10. Do we even have a spot for JP Germany to get activated
  11. It's always the conservative commentators that write these doomsday pieces. They did their part to get us here.
  12. It's exactly that fucking bad. It will take a new, powerful political movement to even start the reversal, IMHO. A lot of the movement would have to be fat, comfortable white people. So far, we ain't done much. My beloved is of like mind, but we're now in a small community where she's made friends. They don't talk politics. There are Trump flags on our country road. I thought of putting out a Mexican flag to show some welcome to all the latinos who may be frightened. It would likely be alienating to some friends of hers, so no move. I'm torn about this. I must find a public avenue to at least try to scratch up the monster that's devouring our free world.
  13. Yeah, that wasn't exactly our dynamic. For one thing, my Mom eats men for breakfast. She has a beauty queen sort of charm about her, a twinkle in her eye, but she gets energy from destroying people. She just managed to destroy my niece (her granddaughter) this morning. It will be the wind beneath her wings all day long. Her problem was always being attracted to alpha males and then crushing their souls. Finally late in life she married a beta that became her favorite puppy to kick, and that worked out a lot better. And my Dad was awesome. Hilarious. Erudite. Took over pretty much any room he was in by his sheer presence. When the world wide web came about we started posting on the GoBig12. It was hilarious watching Dad become this larger than life internet personality. Not because it was some kind of surprise, but because that's how it always went.
  14. Still disappointed they changed Fort Cavazos back to Fort Hood. Richard Cavazos was a bonafide badass Texan, also the first Hispanic 4-Star General in the US Army whose exploits are so much bigger than just his rise in rank. For all of the naming shenanigans, that was actually a HUGE improvement, which was subsequently & fucking stupidly changed back to Fort Hood.
  15. I have these but they're so uncomfortable. I 've worn em maybe a half dozen times.
  16. But it’s also a gladiator sport, where concussions determine longevity.
  17. The data released today are not really compelling from a revenue generating perspective. Rare disease. Positive results, but early read out from 2 patients participating in open label N=12 study. Positive stuff I guess is the stuff press releases are made of. I am not really sure what moves these biotechs.
  18. What's the difference between a kleptomaniac and a literalist? The literalist takes things literally. The kleptomaniac takes things, literally.
  19. Haha...you got me. I was with some friends/family from Texas 2 weeks ago - all of whom live in "desirable" parts of DFW and Houston. Their homes are all valued well over 1m, but they were bemoaning the fact that they could never make it in CA due to home prices. Played a bit of cell phone flop out with Zillow to show illustrate. No doubt coastal CA is more expensive, but depending on where you live, you might not experience the sticker shock you'd expect.
  20. QBs need to approach this different than other positions. Not that they all don't need development, but a second QB contract at the next level can be generational wealth. It would be incredibly short sighted to chase an extra million now that cost you multiple millions in development later.
  21. So part of that is they had resellers buying up large volumes of tickets to resell. If you are just selling this season or on a game by game basis by yourself you are going to be fine.
  22. This administration confuses the aesthetics of oppression with actual oppression. That's to our benefit, but there's no guarantee they don't figure it out. But for now all they're really doing is pissing off all the NG guys who have to put up with this shit, which makes them less likely to go along with actual oppression in the future.
  23. If Sark runs the Akers' 1-2-3-Punt predictable non-offense on the opening series, I'll be pissed. For the young-uns on the board, this was Texas Coach Fred Akers' offense: 1st Down: Badly-blocked Run into the center of the line -- stuffed/TFL 2nd Down: Repeat of the Badly-blocked Run into the center of the line -- stuffed/TFL 3rd Down: QB does a 7-step drop to setup to pass, gets sacked/crunched by a jailbreak defensive blitz 4th Down: Punt If you saw it for years from the stands in Memorial Stadium like I did, you'd never forget it, too.
