  1. Past hour
  2. Yep. And I don't expect the Big 10 to continue to be this top heavy (with numerous "scheduled wins" even if you play your F game) but it definitely is this year. According to KFord (who I think does a pretty good job with all his rankings), he has OSU 49th in schedule difficulty this season. They just aren't being challenged and were essentially scheduled a playoff spot. Texas is 11th, Bama is 15th and UGA is 16th. But Bama missed the playoffs last year. Both Bama and UGA look likely to make it this year but UGA could easily be a 3 (if not a 4) loss team right now. I'll be surprised if any of OSU, Bama or UGA can make a stretch of 4 or 5 years straight in the playoffs going forward. None will have the talent advantage they used to have.
  3. We're not debating the symbol here. We're debating whether Platner is a secret Nazi. This is not a Secret Nazi vs. This is a Secret Nazi
  4. do you mean a car, because that's about all we'll be able to afford soon
  5. “It won’t interfere with the current building,” Trump said on July 31.. “It’ll be near it, but not touching it, and pays total respect to the existing building, which I’m the biggest fan of.”
  6. I think some of the 9.95 and fan talk about Sark calling the wrong gameplan or calling for the team he wants rather than the team he has missed the possibility that maybe the offense is actually just this bad. Against power 4 opponents, our offense ranks 63 out of 68 teams. We are objectively terrible at Left Guard and Center. We are getting below average play at Right Tackle. There's no need to comment on QB play. Maybe there isn't a magic button to run the ball as well as we did against Oklahoma every week because our line is horrible. Maybe it's even worse with Robertson in. Maybe our QB is going to miss wide open guys if he's blitzed or comfortable in the pocket. It's still Sark's fault. But I don't think he can simply call run plays and quick passes and make this offense good. The sample size is no longer small. It's a terrible offense. The changes needed wont come from week to week adjustments. They will come with a total overhaul in the off-season.
  7. Check and mate. We did offer Brennan Thompson.
  8. OBTW, If our next turf is still artificial, can we at least haz dirt around all the bases? JFC that annoys the fuck outta me.
  9. It doesn’t matter what happens if sark refuses to give up control of offense.
  10. There were at least three storylines briefly mentioned in TLJ and ROS that were more compelling than those movies. Luke training Leia, Luke trying to start a new Jedi Academy, and Palpatine's offspring on the run from daddy Emperor. I'd rather watch a movie about those stories before watching what we got. It's a leap to suggest Luke had "a moment" of doubt about Kylo. He woke up in the night and walked to Kylo's bed, wielded a lightsaber, and stood over him thinking about cutting him in half. That's more than "a moment". Complete horseshit storytelling. Very lazy writing from someone who just wanted to be a contrarian. You'll never convince me otherwise.
  11. Hell, not too long ago that was all parking lot anyway.
  12. Does a mobile home count?
  13. Flagg is supposed to be a generational talent, unlike Sochan, so fuck it bring it.
  14. I thought it was pretty weak but didn't really have a huge problem with the party trying to draw a strict line against harassing women. Do you think his replacement has been bad at the job? ETA: and it's not somewhat marginally nazi, it's what their fucking death camp guards wore. It's arguably more offensive than the swastika. Trying to downplay it is some heinous shit man.
  15. Of course. Just know that Mack is giving him advice, which I knew would happen. Mack has no vested interest in our success. He’d love to see us fail. After all, he think us buying players just isn’t fair. Mack should spend his time researching breast reduction surgery and leave Texas the fuck alone.
  16. I grew up playing ball with a guy like this. In today's world he would probably be considered on a spectrum of something. He was incredibly smart and a good athlete but he couldn't separate what he thought should happen in a game vs. what was happening. If a defense didn't react the way a play was designed, he'd spin off mentally b/c "they didn't do what they were supposed to do". He'd get so fixated on how the play was designed to work he couldn't operate in the reality of what was happening. Not sure if that applies here but I can't help thinking about him spinning off in an intellectual tizzy instead of adjusting when I see this offense continue to run into a brick wall without deviation.
  17. I'm highly skeptical of stories like this, although I didn't watch anything more than the clip above. They make for great fear mongering when you want to push a certain agenda, but I'd need more data. about 15 years ago there was a very similar story to this that caused a lot of consternation, except it was Russia and the target was a municipal water system in Illinois: https://www.reuters.com/article/markets/u-s-probes-cyber-attack-on-water-system-idUSN1E7AH1QU/ It was all bullshit. The pump burned out and the 3rd party system integrator that the city hired to manage its controls was travelling in Russia. He got a call, so he logged in remotely to access the controls system so he could assess the situation, and the next thing you know it was all over the news that russia took an illinois water system offline. I sold control software for many years and actually talked to that integrator on the phone a few times when he was kicking the tires on some of our products to replace his homegrown software. It was a hilarious conversation once I found out he was the guy. When he got back to the states and saw the story blow up in the media, he actively contacted authorities as well as media companies that were promoting the russian cyberattack angle, and nobody wanted to believe him. He finally said fuck it, made sure the city officials were clear on what happened and stopped trying to correct the narrative. The FBI eventually begrudgingly determined Russia had nothing to do with it, but they fought that narrative for quite a while even when the integrator was telling them what happened. Now 15 years of selling industrial control software into critical infrastructure installations and manufacturing companies has me terrified of what is possible if foreign actors really wanted to fuck with shit. The big size cities and billion dollar companies generally do a decent job of following vendor guidelines and implementing some sort of cyber security framework. The smaller cities and municipalities cant afford full time controls engineers so they outsource everything and commonly dont pay for annual support agreements so their controls software isnt patched and vulnerable as shit. You wouldn't believe how many times I was given remote access credentials to look at a software issue on a system I had no business being given access to. I would tell these people DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR PASSWORDS, and they would answer, but you work for the vendor, we can trust you. There are also huge numbers of wireless access/connectivity solutions on lift stations, remote control panels, etc... that are using default passwords or no passwords. It further convinces me that there arent a lot of people trying to bring shit down, because if there were, it wouldn't be too fucking hard.
  18. Atlas Shrugged
  19. I think after OU it was assumed Sark finally got that. Nope.
  20. Alright, I'll do it. I'm extremely curious.
  21. The second offense is a $100k penalty. The third offense the Head Coach is suspended for a game.
  22. Yeah, we're all sure you didn't realize it when 1) my name is on it 2) if you have me on ignore it shows to the right not only my name, but also....you guessed it, poster ignored. You don't have to lie, dumbass.
