  4. I think it’s fair to say based on early returns that the money is necessary but not sufficient. Not really that surprising of a conclusion.
  5. Surly fans uplifting my spirits … Gloom, despair, and agony on me Deep, dark depression, excessive misery If it weren’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all Gloom, despair, and agony on me
  6. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/46521467/unc-scraps-plans-hulu-series-2-3-start-per-report Amid a 2-3 start to Bill Belichick's tenure at North Carolina, the team has scrapped plans for a documentary series chronicling the season with Hulu, according to a report from Inside Carolina. The series, which was set to follow UNC throughout the entirety of the season, was actually UNC's second crack at a documentary of Belichick's inaugural college campaign, but an earlier project with HBO's "Hard Knocks" was also scrapped over the summer.

  13. Hopefully Sark is now capable of recognizing the situation on the field and be prepared for a trick play such as a fake punt or illegal play with hidden player (proven cheaters in which the team, HC, AD, and school President apparently support as ,"if it helps us win then it's good to go for us"). Maybe some promising student will come up with a yell recognizing the accomplished OU cheaters to accompany "OU Sucks".
  14. I think your analysis also gets an "incomplete" because I think you could be right, but it depends... It depends on who is going to step up and be the next Iran and funnel money, arms, protection and leadership to the next generation of Palestine's Hamas that you think is inevitable to crop up? While Israel might have done a terrible job calculating the long-term costs (TBD), I think they tried to mitigate long term consequences. Which is to say the dismantling of it's enemies who allowed Hamas to be as powerful as they got to be as a terrorist group for the OG 10/7 two years ago, in the attacks in Syria, Iran, and abroad. They were trying to eliminate the threat wholly (which, grossly, looks like it included eliminating Palestine completely) and seemed to have the mindset of take the axe to the roots and not let it grow back. Obviously they've failed so what's next? Did they get enough of the roots for the weeds to be managable or is it all Hamas-redux all the way down? TBD, WIP, Incomplete.
  15. Gotta sleep with the janitor
  16. do they drop pee indicator dye in the pool ??
  17. This is true but I think the most important thing the pubs figured out is that fear and anger are much much stronger that "caring about others" or "doing the right thing for society". It's that simple. Despite what George Lucas tried to sell us, fear and hate are the strongest motivators outside of food/shelter/sex. And since the dems are not selling those other things, their message is just weak and no one gives a shit. The gig is up. Pubs and Fox News figured out and have fully exploited the hack to our lizard brains. Until there is a full economic collapse resulting in food/shelter shortages, nothing the Dems say is gonna break through.
  18. When it comes to front-burner controversies, message board posters tend to be either hyper-positive or condemnatorily negative—seldom, if ever, is there ever any well reasoned in-between. And that's the way it is when it comes to Sark. As with most things in life, somewhere in between is where the truth lies. Sark brought us out of the Strong/Herman embarrassment and into the light with two consecutive playoff appearances. Then, he completely and irreparably screwed the 2025 season with this inexcusable abortion of an offensive line. I'm nowhere near a Sark apologist; this is his fuck-up and it's a bad one, a tenure-threatening one. Still, looking at the big picture: track record to date, cost of buyout and new-hire, internal AD/BOR politics, availability of a guaranteed upgrade, it's pretty obvious we’re going to be stuck with him for a while, like it or not. The best we can hope for is continued Big Cigar $NIL buy-in, a better plan for next year, and good luck in the off-season portal. But that’s next year. There’s still the rest of this year to endure and . . .
  19. I’d spend all my FAAB on JCM.
