He's the best Democratic candidate for a statewide office we've had since Ann Richards.

Same, first year I didn't go opening day in a long time, and not sure I missed it. I miss going with our group of friends, but definitely not the money spent

I'm sure there are options to take $10 off on Tuesday evening if you bring a can of green beans from Minyards or a 20 oz Dr. Pepper bottle on Thursday morning. Having said that, It does seem like they would benefit from having some sort of surge pricing model. Weekends can be full fare for entry (maybe still have some reduced entry with the Dr. Pepper bottle) and parking, but during the week make entry $5-$10 with parking in that same range. I'd bet their attendance would increase significantly. The coupon cost increase was a scam. Other than the vendors themselves realizing they are hurting sales by not reducing the number of tickets needed for a fried oreo I'm not sure much can be done about that. We used to go on opening day every year and for TX/OU as frequently as possible. It's been 2 or 3 years since the opening day trip and pre-Covid for the game for a variety of reasons.

Texas will lose this game and it won’t be because of the defensive effort/performance. I predict more INTs than completions. Gata 13, Texas 10

Ticketmaster has presales for different credit cards...AmEx, Citi, Capital One, Chase. They either happen the day before or a few hours before the public sale. Not all cards have a presale for every show. I had the other three cards already so I just got a no fee Citi card just to fill in the gap. There's also usually an artist presale if you sign up for their mailing list. The big benefit is that the presales do not have surge pricing like during the public sale and there's no queue.

The other thing is Trump's current bullshit, to wit authoritarianism, bad economics, thinly veiled racism, petty retribution for political enemies, should have been obvious to anyone paying attention since 2016. To most of us, the choice is binary: Trump, or not Trump. But it's a little more complex than that, because a vote for anyone other than Harris was effectively a vote for Trump.

It's going to take a while to weed out out the women, fatties, and other undesirables that Hegseth mentioned yesterday in Quantico. So I say we start with a warm-up lap in Greenland.

As in any CBA negotiation, it’s all about the money. The players currently get less than 10% of league revenue. NBA players get 50%. And franchise values have skyrocketed, up 180% in the last year alone. It’s going to be a knockout, drag out negotiation. Officiating, while important, is a relatively minor issue in comparison. And firing Cathy is barely on the radar as far as concessions go.

Set it up. yes Venezuela. Don't forget Haiti. But I don't see the 1st Cav going in. I see Special Forces leading/advising supporting nations. That is the heart of the current Gaza and Haiti plans.

Luke Fickell has a $25 million buyout that only goes down to $19 million at the end of next season. Either would be the biggest buyout in Big Ten history. UW can't afford to sack him. Besides, they need to replace the AD who goes Fickell first. -
That's the impression I got. I'd try to muddle through something in French and they'd start speaking English. After a day or so, I'd just speak English and everyone seemed fine with that.

might as well add it to the thread

That's not a "solution."

The 59 dollars to park and get in the door is where they are killing themselves.

You know fewer playoff teams ain’t happening. In fact, after expansion, you can look forward to 16 teams in the tournament.

We need a thread to predict what new country will be first to have US boots on the ground. I know Iran would probably have the best odds, but after that it should have some interesting options. Iraq, Afghanistan, Mexico and China probably round out the top 5. Maybe some latin or South America countries, dark horse possibilities of Gaza, Ukraine and Russia. I would go with Venezuela for good odds and a realistic chance of happening. I bet we would be welcomed by their people as liberators to free them from Communist Marxism!
