Desmond is a fuckhead but he's doing that for a reason it's not because he's an enemy of sark or hates Texas.

Ken Burns: The American Revolution 11/16
Hagbard Celine replied to GhostOfTomJoad's topic in Movies and TV
burns explains the approach to this series, excellent read, essential for the connisseur: https://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/ken-burns-says-his-new-documentary-forced-him-to-revisit-everything-he-thought-he-knew-about-the-american-revolution-180987667/ if you really want to geek out, lexington was a false flag orchestrated by hancock, adams and revere: http://www.redcoat.me.uk/Secrets.htm -
She do loves wide receivers. He even has a Heisman!
-
Wut? LOL how'd I get dragged into this?
-
Geezus. Desmond Howard is fucking her, too?
-
I'm not at all. Just rewatched the entire thing and that series 10 times. Maybe you don't know shit or remember incorrectly.
-
my only question is if Desmond sleeps with his cat.
-
I gotcha.
-
I saw it when I looked. That's real but I follow CDC on IG.

Some people choose or maybe can't help let fear of change guide them away from making fundamental changes that would help. It's far too common in the corporate world. I could tell you tons of stories about CEOs, to CTOs to Directors of IT, etc that recognize their own issues. Sometime they clearly know the cause of those issues. Yet, even when offered an alternative that would alleviate those issues they choose the devil they know rather than the alternative. While I openly acknowledge the HC decision making process at Texas is absolutely flawed I also firmly believe Sark is unwilling or unable to fundamentally alter his historic coaching choices to get us even with the top teams in college football. I don't believe in aggie mindframe of making a playoff is fantastic. Winning a championship is fantastic and Steve, in the entirety of his career has a single Big XII championship. Conversely, he has consistently shown a shit ton of fundamental issues and has yet to express, at any point, any willingness whatsoever to alter his approach. I'm confident he will continue on his current path and trajectory. As such, I view the potential upside of a new coach worth the risk even given the potential downside of Texas' HC process and history.

Honestly I’d want Marcus Freeman, dude is a beast on the recruiting trail and already dabbles in Texas not to add he and can flat out coach. Get him a big time OC and DC at Texas with no restrictions like he has at Notre Dame.

Lane would fit right in with LSU’s trailer trash fanbase.
-
His buyout is only $15M… but the bidding war is going to be gnarly

Texas Football 2025 - Seven Win Steve Rides Again

This. You can have weight room freaks like Jalen Hurts and Byron Murphy look like shit if their fundamentals are poor. Game specific skills are not built in the weight room. -
I guess. I feel like a home and home like what we had with the limited teams in the Big 12 provides the most fairness. I don't know. It's not like I'm advocating for the dang thing. I just don't think the reason to have one is money. That's the main point.

Not in the comments when I look. Shopped?

This is my general understanding as well. There wasn't a lot of interest in the job after the way everything went down with Mack. He really is an epic piece of shit and I cant believe hes allowed to snoop around the program again. Fuck that guy. Powers advocated for Strong because he wanted a black coach. Dont know how much of a difference that made in actually hiring him but Ive heard donors say it. A Dallas group is who fumbled the situation with Saban and drove the Patterson hire at AD. The pendulum swung back to Houston and we ended up with Herman as a result. The story of him and his wife showing up to a cocktail reception in Houston right after the deal was done is hilarious. Herman bolted straight to the bar when he got there and ordered a vodka and ice in a pint glass. Eltife and Hartzell put a good bid together from multiple cities but missed out on Meyer. I heard a big part of the reason they landed on Sark is because they were determined to fix the QB situation that had plagued us for so long. Shouldnt be hard to figure out who will be making the next hire if we make one. NIL drives the bus now, as it should in my opinion. We will only go as far as our NIL support takes us, just like everyone else now. Love it or hate it, thats cfb today.

I have not dug into it, nor will I, but I did see a comment where the ring video camera recorded the DoorDash girl opening his cracked door and filming him. Which I’m guessing is why she was arrested and charged
-
I would agree with this. Just enjoy the movie for what it is and don’t think too hard about any of it. The spoiler I agree with as well. I did like him being included in the movie, but that scene needed to be done somewhat differently than it was.

I mean, Kiffin's gotta believe he's a better HC than those two numb-skulls. Leadership issues, be damned, LA has a built-in talent advantage like no other. Otherwise, why would Kelly leave ND? Who's got an easier road to the CFB playoffs?

And this is why she gets a pass.

Texas Football 2025 - Seven Win Steve Rides Again
BigHornedLurker replied to closetojumping's topic in Football
I mean its not like we're having massive injury issues like we've seen in the past, and the team has never shown any quit. Im skeptical of S&C being a real issue unless he's smashing WR hands with hammers -
He just signed a huge extension with Indiana 30 days ago
