I turned this on for about 90 seconds before going "yeah I choose to believe right now that this isn't real life" and turned some music on instead. Someone was yelling at him "You don't think the covid vaccines saved lives??".

Gottdam USPS. Some criminal asshole broke the main lock on our community mailbox in early February, so everybody on our side of the street has had to pick up their mail at the post office station several miles away. We have been driving over there once week to pick up our bundled snailmailβ¦.sometimes the place is crowded and have to wait. They have obviously been trashing most of the junk mail, which is fine with me. However, today we realized we have missed receiving some important automobile insurance documents. That pisses me off as much as having to do the weekly round trip runs to the post office for 8 months (30+ trips). And no, the PO is not anywhere close to our usual shopping venues, so it has to be a special effort to go there. They claim to have put in work orders 2 or 3 times to get the lock fixed so the carrier can resume placing our daily mail in our boxes. No telling what other important financial & government paperwork or personal mail has been lost because of the USPS incompetence. Guess Iβll start harassing the administrators of that station to get their slow asses in gear and get the box lock fixed. (our section is in the center - the others are undamaged)

Left Behind: A Quick Dose Of Post Big 12 Reality
closetojumping replied to LTtxfan's topic in Football
Am I the only one here who thinks that, ironically, if Nebraska had stayed in the Big 12 and Texas and OU left for the SEC anyway, that Nebraska would be the program benefitting the most in the new structure? They'd be playing in Texas every year, so recruiting would be vastly improved with that and games regularly in Florida as well. They'd be the sole blue blood within the conference and they'd have a lot of say. They'd likely also be primed to win at a higher clip. I don't know, maybe I'm crazy. I like thinking about that, though. They're effectively trapped in some nightmare regardless, I guess. -

According to a post on HAIF this morning, Target is going to be the anchor tenant for the former Sears property on N Shepherd. Permits filed recently indicate an April 2026 construction start date. I'm sure people will be bummed b/c they were hoping for a Costco or HEB. There were originally plans for a Target with several floors of apartments on top to go in where they've cleared out most of that block between 26th and 27th, but that was going to require a weird building design to wrap around the doggy daycare. Looks like they called an audible when the Sears property came available.

I was somewhat nonplussed on passing on Barnett, until I heard Mack speak at his first PC. Mack wasn't a perfect coach by any means, but at the time he was exactly what we needed. I mean fuck, he had to tell us to get there by kickoff and maybe put on an orange shirt.

That was texlarry. Yeah, the olds were all pissed on GoBig12. I was a lurker and not a poster during that period. Various candidates were brought up and rumored to be interviewing. A contingent of people wanted Mack Brown but didn't think he'd take the job because he was set up pretty well in Chapel Hill. My view was that that dude was a dream hire. I was pretty excited when he was hired. I never wanted Barnett and a lot of folks were "meh" on him. I wanted no part of Steve Patterson, Barnes, Strong, Herman (I'd slightly interacted with Herman and we lived near each other and folks who lived by him had nothing nice to say about the guy), Pierce or Sarkisian. I thought CDC, Garrido, Brown, Shaka Smart, and Schlossnagle were awesome hires. I'm pretty "meh" on Miller. Somewhere along the way, like I said earlier, I have realized that skepticism is always warranted and that personally, my initial reaction is to be ignored.

Saw Thee Osees last night. Loud AF and hot as hell. It was awesome! Really happy to hear their older stuff like Toe Cutter, Chem-Farmer/Night Expo, The Dream, etc. I haven't really been digging their most recent album and much prefer their older groovier stuff.

This is Surly. Real men who get shingles on top of their herpes sores. -
Man I would love an outcome like yours. Thanks for sharing. One other thing - last week I was at Yellowstone, did several mile plus walks/hikes per day and just chalked the mild difficulty up to being a sea level dweller temporarily at 7,500 ft. I did not have any conscious limitations, and was happy as hell in the great outdoors. But put me on a teams call with work and thatβs when my heart feels like Iβm 30 years older.

Just took a look at the Roma Ticket site, it is really nice. It has a great seat picker, I'd suggest looking for aisle and potentially the last row in a section. I sat at the top of San Siro and was happy, because I could stand up and was jammed it.

Fantasmas on HBOMax. Don't bother researching it beforehand, and just stick with it - it'll click. *It's a better fit here than in Movies & TV...
