  1. Past hour
  2. I would be lying if I said that I've never written "THIS URINAL SUCKS" on top of these and their equally frustrating counterpart where you "dunk" your wet hands into the drying crevasse.
  3. But even Gabriel went much more mainstream in the mid-80s with “So”.
  4. Having worked in that area a ton (OC) — UCI is still heavy commuter. It’s not called University of Chinese Immigrant for nothing. And I’m sure you’ll have noted that it’s egregiously hard to get into a good UC school (all the ones you mentioned including UCSD) being out of state. As in, she might have better luck getting into UT as a non-auto-admit.
  5. Framber has not been sharp today
  6. Timer violation scores because of course.
  7. Mateer didn't play in the bowl game, he had already committed to blowu. 35 for the backup QB against Syracuse could mean a couple of things.
  8. Well except when your backup is Arch Manning and your starter is Quinn.
  9. Well done, Framber.
  10. Spiethcoaster on the bubble to make a cut... been like this all season
  11. It's still magical if you want to pay the amount that people routinely paid for air travel in the era when "air travel was magical." The average cost of a flight from JFK to LHR in 1970 was $550. Adjusted for inflation, that's $4,500. If you want to spend $4,500 for a flight from JFK to LHR, it's going to be magical. You're likely going to be in First. You'll walk right up to BA's First counter and a very lovely agent will check you in within five minutes. Then you'll walk right through security with no line directly into the Chelsea Lounge where they'll pour you a glass of Laurent Perrier Grand Siecle. Then you go to your plane and your lay-flat seat. That's a fuckton better than the shitty coach seat that you would've gotten for the same price back in the Golden Age of Commercial Aviation. The OAG Pocket Guide is a master schedule of all airline flights. It comes in four regional versions--one for North America, one for Europe, one for East Asia, and one for South & Southwest Asia. Inside, it lays out by airport every destination to which that airport has nonstop flights. The flights are organized by departure time and identify the departure time, the arrival time, the equipment, and the airline. So the entry for Austin would look like: AUSTIN, TX Albuquerque, NM 0645 0805 738 WN 0915 1040 73G WN etc. It's an easy reference guide for anyone who does a lot of traveling to immediately see what flights are available between any given city-pair. With the internet, it's obviously pretty obsolete. But before all airlines were on sites like Expedia, it was the only place that had a comprehensive listing of all the available airline options for whatever destination you wanted to go to.
  12. It never fails. The most popular guy in the team is the backup QB. Until he gets meaningful playing time.
  13. You know who says dumb shit like this? People that suck at math and science, that’s who.
  14. 7 rings.vs 2. 10 appearances vs 2. Giants defense got the best of Brady. Eli only had to make a few plays because the Giants defense kept the historically good Pats offense in check all game.
  15. agreed. what a bunch of bullshit from the stars. how much does it cost to run an ice rink in Texas year round?
  16. It’s crazy this used to be must watch TV, now there are so many different NFL documentaries, it’s kind of fallen off. But I just finished episode 1, and it’s still the best NFL doc. The Bills are just so damn easy to root for, I won’t be mad if they win it all.
  17. Doctor, always try to do the right thing. That's it? That's it.
  18. Definitely not enough data yet to make any determinations (and change any preset minds, either way), but for a debut, first preseason game with the assumption it’s a floor and you’ll get better with exposure and reps, it was a success no matter how you want to slice it. That said, he’s gotta keep getting better and proving himself. Just one data point in a long journey. I do wonder how Browns management and the brain trust feel though. Had to be a pleasant surprise for some of the internal doubters, especially considering the injuries currently.
  19. That was such a fun time. Baseball dominated all talk at dinner, family get togethers, freaking everything. It makes me miss my grandpa thinking about it
  20. It is an absolute moral imperative that someone paste an Eli jersey onto this thing. In fact, Eli himself should do it. Eli would do it. What're you gonna do, tell Eli he can't do whatever he wants to with Brady's statue? He had his way with Brady in two Super Bowls!
  21. Yeah, some kind of Honda creeper van would be ideal. [audible bass getting louder as RD turns into your neighborhood]
  22. Even better if he has a case of "You will respect my authoritah."
