  6. Also, those states are doing it specifically in response to Texas' cynical effort. It's not in response to "organic" urging from a "left-wing" official or party.
  7. U.S. added just 73,000 jobs in July and numbers for prior months were revised much lower https://www.cnbc.com/2025/08/01/jobs-report-july-2025.html
  8. I'm sure everyone on NextDoor knows exactly what that was, and the word is on the tip of their tongue.
  9. Not ideal. Probably my most comfortable pair of boots at the moment.

That sucks. Flaco was a giant in his musical genre. I read that Dave Edmunds had some sort of medical event and isn't doing well, either. We're going to be seeing a lot of these great musicians and artists passing away in the near future, unfortunately.
  12. No worries. 😉 I don’t have the trunk space nor the gas money to drive out to the middle of nowhere to dump my …go sight seeing. some of the rich surly dudes need to check their privilege. And logic. I can’t be everywhere. Lol.
  13. Fake AI “news” has jumped the shark with this one……. Branson Area Breaking News • Follow 1d • Elderly Woman, 102, Apprehended in Branson Indecent Exposure Case Branson police have arrested the infamous "Highway 65 Flasher," a 102-year-old woman accused of repeatedly exposing herself to passing drivers. Officers apprehended the woman Wednesday afternoon on highway 65 after weeks of bizarre reports and near-misses. Despite her age, police say she evaded capture multiple times using her walker and disappearing into nearby woods. "She's surprisingly quick for 102," said Officer Brad Connelly. "We didn't see this one coming." The woman was taken into custody without incident. Charges are pending, though officials say they may consider leniency due to her age.
  14. Didn’t make the cut for tickets for OSU this year b/c didn’t renew my bball season tickets, but was probably gonna sell my two anyway for two better ones. Buying night before or day of just like all our other big away games last 2 seasons. Counting on tix dropping even more like they have previously.
  15. Stop me if you’ve heard this before… jobs report from last 2 months revised downward 228k. BROKEN
  16. @Bozo_Casanova we are on the same journey but I’m three months ahead and three years younger. Just finished my tenth of ten lessons and they’ve helped tremendously. I am no longer a hack and just a mediocre player. I just bought new clubs after my coach did a bit of a fitting. I wanted TaylorMade but after hitting various types of clubs, it became obvious that I was so much longer and more accurate with Mizuno 925s. I tried to pretend it was politics and not pay attention to the data in front of me but coach kept directing me back to the stats so I begrudgingly went with them and now I love them (after one whole round with them). I found no one talks to you about your swing. And like someone said, pick up a ball if putting group behind pace of play. No one cares about your score at all, people just care to not slow them down. Good luck to us newbs.

  21. Here’s a snippet about Ohio State’s NIL situation fed to Bill Kurelic from one his AD sources. The one thing he’s not telling them, that @alincoln previously noted in one of these threads about OSU for this cycle is donor fatigue. I’ve since heard the same. They’re not going to get Hiter, apparently losing him to Michigan, and their class is just “good” and they’re not in on a ton of remaining prospects for the cycle either. “ ** The why of NIL? … Why? That seems to be a common question among ’Nutters when it comes to NIL. There’s a belief that Ohio State has missed out on several high-caliber recruits because other programs are willing to amp their NIL game when the Buckeyes are not. We’ve asked around - a lot - and have a few vibes to pass along today and in the next few Houses about that. As one might expect, there were strong opinions on how Ohio State is approaching NIL and WHY. We will dive deep on that. Today is a little more basic. One source in the know’s opinion on the biggest factor working against the Buckeyes is “it’s a way more level playing field.” While Ohio State did not get off to the fastest start in the NIL era, your Buckeyes were elite over the last 18 months. Ohio State was among the best at generating funds and was “up there with Oregon and Texas” when it came to available NIL resources. Then came the NCAA change on July 1 that allows schools to directly spend up to $20.5 million annually on athletes. “Now literally everyone has money,” our source said. “That’s the main reason why it’s so tough. Lots of leverage out there.” More to come … a lot more.”
