  2. Not to mention saving $17 million in cap space at the same time.
  3. I'm still waiting on this fing thing to come out on CD.
  4. Steelers continue their tradition of rolling out shit-awful throwbacks.
  5. Do you have a connect with the lifetime passes or do you just buy them?

  7. Many in the native community are accepting "Indian" these days despite the stupidity of its origin so it might have been close enough to get by but they could never fully disassociate the name with the long time use of Chief Wahoo. Even though they stopped using him a few years before the name change it wasn't going to fly long term without a complete change in identity. The Chiefs are skating by because they haven't used an actual Indian mascot for a long time but I attended a game at Arrowhead about 10 years ago and it was still full of fake Indian tom tom beating and tomahawk chop stereotypical bullshit ceremonies and chants. As far as dotards "they all want it back" i'm sure dipshit troll will find the interviews and articles of Indian people being "not offended" or loving it but the vast majority of them are "my great grandma was a Cherokee princess" type of Indian. There are some legit Natives who liked it for some reason but dotard doesn't speak for the Native community. Here's all you need, a position by an organization of Native leaders. This is the official position upon which the decision should be made. Unless they change their position, it should be respected. https://www.ncai.org/initiatives/proud-to-be
  8. That's like a 28% chance of happening anytime he gets on base...
  9. Relax, don’t force it. You’re gonna blow out your o-ring, drop a lung!
  10. I wasn't clear - I'd assume 100 out of 100 times the item MUST be ruled inert before doing anything with it. Grenades? Why cut into it? That's a hold my beer moment out on the range. And if no go boom, wrap it in det cord, make it go boom
  11. Repped not necessarily because I agree with everything you said but because it's an insightful post and it captures a broader strategic misstep that Democrats continue to make. I can't quite give a name to this broader strategic misstep, but the gist of it is treating the electorate like better people than they truly are, accepting certain premises at their face value and placing a strong emphasis on appealing to those premises. A naΓ―ve belief that voters have some kind of deeper convictions that will get them to switch parties. In the W era, the Dems accepted the premise that the electorate just LOVES the troops, so we're gonna TOTALLY WIN OVER those troop-lovers by running a candidate WHO SERVED AND WAS WOUNDED IN VIETNAM instead of that effete Texas national guard and didn't see any action! How many Republicans switched party lines due to their affinity for "real" veterans? In 2024, Joe Biden's campaign accepted the premise that the electorate just LOVES tough border policies, so we're gonna TOTALLY WIN OVER those border-hawks by trying to pass a "tough" border bill and forcing Trump to accept political responsibility when republicans refuse to vote for it! Then Kamala Harris took over, and her team (which was just Biden's team) accepted the premise that the electorate just LOVES Liz Cheney, so we're gonna TOTALLY WIN OVER those "classic" conservatives who miss Dick Cheney. How did that work out for them? We've seen this tried here in Texas at the state level, too, with MJ Hegar (the "real deal" servicemember) and Colin Allred (the "real deal" Texas football player). How many "real deal" farmers and "real deal" cops do we need to churn through before party leadership finally gives up on this idiotic way of thinking? And that brings me to Talarico. I don't dispute his religious bona fides. He is a "real deal" pastor. And if that's gonna be the campaign strategy, then his donors might as well light their money on fire for all the good it'll do.
  12. Yup. I've mentioned it before, but our youngest has no business being at UT. None. I mean, top 40% at his HS kind of guy. Super immature (at the time). The thing was, he played club soccer at a very high level and wrote his essay about how he had to learn to interact with kids on his team who only spoke Spanish, and how it helped his leadership skills. It was a pretty poorly written essay but it was definitely from the heart. I corrected a few grammar mistakes the night before it was due but I thought "no way". And then he was CAPed. And he kicked ass at UT-Tyler. And here we are. There are many paths. If one avails itself to your kid, they might be advised to take it.
  13. An Altuve TOOTBLAN automatically results in a loss.
  14. I don't need to make a religious argument or appeal to Jesus' teachings or the Ten Commandments to make a case for why theft and murder are detrimental to a society. That's my point. My personal beliefs about murder are formed by both my Christian faith and my secular understanding of the political tension between freedom and order. But I don't need to appeal to "Jesus said so" when I can also articulate that in our society, political/legal tradition, and under our Constitution, the freedom to murder citizens at will is both detrimental to order and a violation of an individual's right to life. In the same way, I don't need to make a religious argument or appeal to Jesus' teaching to make a case for feeding, housing, educating, and providing health care for those who are in need. A healthy society provides services for those in need because that is conducive to maintaining good order and promoting the general welfare. A lack of order is not conducive to the exercise and protection of anyone's rights and freedoms.
  15. Another thing that fascinates me about OU heading into the 2025 season is that they brought Kevin Wilson in to help "manage the program". This guy was despised at Indiana and Tulsa. He represents the meatheadiest part of the Stoops era and the okies absolutely love him. They talk about him likes he's a great addition and great guy. He comes across as toxic and clueless. You take Wilson, Schmidt, and Venables running practices together and it seems pretty fucking obvious that they're going to have more injuries this season. Venables loves to have his defense beat the shit out of the offense from day one through the bowl practices (if they qualify). Yet, every season, OU and the media are stunned by the spate of injuries and "bad luck" that befalls OU during the season. I was listening to Dvoracek (OU homer), Nowkhah (OU honk), Jacob Hester and Chris Doering (blindest Florida/SEC honk to have ever lived) talk about OU being sneaky good this year during the SEC Media Days last week. Nowkhah started reeling off the WR names we know here and spoke about them as being a strength of the team and that "they would have been last year without the bad luck with injuries". Burks put up great numbers against Temple and overall averaged less then 9 ypc. Jayden Gibson can't stay healthy and is still recovering from a torn up knee that he hurt again in the spring. The other Gibson just got out of his boot from a fractured lower leg. Everyone else is from FCS or a complete unknown. If that's a team strength, boy, don't even show me your weaknesses. Is anyone going to be shocked when there are more injuries in the WR room by this time in September? The easiest unit to hurt through physically violent practices run by a defensively-oriented idiot is the WR group.
  16. And if a random double play happens to end an inning the game is automatically ended or something silly like that.
  17. Yea 3rd one. Get those extra lives baby
  18. I really hope BV can scratch out 8 wins and keep his job.
  19. MPJ profiles as a good defender because of his length and rebounding ability. Then he steps on the court. He showed some promising steps forward in 2023 then was awful in 2024 and awful/hurt in 2025. Now that he’s on the Nets, I doubt he ever becomes even a middling defender. I’ll take Cam Johnson all day because I’m trading elite (but streaky?) wing shooting for good wing shooting and an uptick in everything else. The next time MPJ puts the ball on the floor and makes a play will probably be the first time.
  20. πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„
  21. Harry Potter night should have runs arbitrarily rewarded throughout the game based on offensive and defensive outcomes. Negative points for starting the wave, strikeouts, errors etc.
  22. Everyone that's pitched me just makes me angry. LIke, I can not beat the market for free. I don't need to pay you to put me in a moderately aggressive etf blend. Or god forbid, Direct Indexing.
  23. Damn, forgot to apply this year. Congrats to those of you that got selected!
  24. Dude is basically arguing that a blonde joke is the equivalent of the N word. After a few pages of "just asking questions" and feigning offense when you point out the implied argument behind them. Hes a clown
