  1. Past hour
  2. Once every year or two I have a craving for a Chuy's steak burrito.
  3. It's hilarious that they are also ther eason the pac failed.
  4. Interesting this poll has TX above KY. And Pitt seems a little high after we took their best player. Are they that deep? And why no practice reports? Season is only a week away. There's FB practice reports all over the place and they have over 3 weeks.
  5. Saw one of his ads on tv during the evening news. Was genuinely surprised it didn’t include the phrase “he sucks Trump’s dick and gargles the gravy,” because that was 100% the message of the entire ad. Nevermind all the other issues with that…how humiliating that must be. To be so over-the-top obsequious to a man you’re smart enough to know is a moronic loathsome amoral toad…Jesus. There is no bottom for these people. And importantly, no dignity or self-respect. To cuck yourself so absolutely, how pathetic.
  6. Thank you for the translation, Barbara Billingsley.
  7. I spent 12 years doing screenplay development at AMG (Ovitz Management / Production company), Miramax, and with James Mangold at Sony and after. I still live in LA and half of my circle are still in the business on that side. I'm happy to take a look at it and help out. Register your script with WGA and submit it to AFF ( https://austinfilmfestival.com/about-aff-script-competitions/ ) and others like it. Development Assistants and Producers read these scripts. In my experience every script requires multiple rewrites. We used to say that writing is actually rewriting so - if you're "most of the way done", you're actually not close to done. Additionally, if people don't tell you it's great it will not be because they "don't get it". A good script is worth its weight in Diamonds or whatever tender is more valuable today. You can bury a great script a mile deep and Hollywood will sniff it out like a truffle pig - they are that rare.
  8. you have to distinguish between normal adults that like to go to disney (with or w/o kids) and disney adults who wear mouse ears when they fuck
  9. Lining up at WR when they need him to isn't playing WR. His primary position was RB...
  10. Start with making midtown desirable and safer for young professionals. Immediately can reduce cars downtown by encouraging them to take the red line into downtown. Midtown is such a shit hole nowadays, nobody wants to live there
  11. Hardly anyone in Houston cares about downtown or improving it. It's not a top goal to make it a local destination. However showing a picture from the 70s or zoomed in current parking spots is disingenuous. Not to mention that I'm not sure what is wrong about having ample parking for 3 professional sports/concert venues and theaters and performing arts. I like being able to park within a few blocks of the ballpark and zoom out of there quickly when it's over. Downtown Houston has even hosted Indy series races. Most of the other Texas cities has to farm out pro sports/concerts to the suburbs or exurbs because they can't make it work remotely close to downtown. As for homeless, yea its a problem here like anywhere. I'm unsure there is a solution when the feds, state and local officials can't agree on a consensus path. And they're effectively being kicked out of downtown so the neighboring areas are feeling the impact.
  12. Stupid enough that an Indian dude living in Canada can create an AI bot to manipulate them. https://vancouversun.com/news/ottawa-man-ai-bot-maga Singh’s accounts are part of an army of AI bots that have created an information ecosystem in support of Trump and the Republican Party on X. In the lead-up to last year’s presidential election, researchers at Clemson University identified a network of more than 680 AI-generated bot accounts on X that were pushing Trump’s agenda. Singh, who moved to Ottawa in 2019 from Minnesota, claims he is not a propagandist, but a “technologist” who wants to show how AI can be leveraged for public relations. He said he would be open to working for campaigns across the political spectrum. He added that he “does not discriminate” and that “the technology can help anyone.” But his known accounts have targeted progressive politicians and sought to aid conservative ones so far.
  13. Midland’s got the money, but my gawd, not the will. Not having cable, I can’t access it anyway because the OTA signal’s too weak. Regardless, I would’ve liked to have seen the raw numbers appear alongside the percentages as well. Undoubtedly, for the smaller stations with massive funding losses, they could likely be made up for at relatively low cost. Having brought up Marfa Public Radio previously in this thread as a real gem, it’d be a shame to see the quality of their programming diminished, but they’ll likely survive out there okay since some relatively deep pockets are probably willing to step up to the plate. But what the hell are these income-deprived folks living out in the middle of nowhere on a reservation -- because our federal government forced them there -- going to do? And I highly doubt many have access to decent internet -- could be wrong, of course. Then, you’ve got all those super-duper isolated people up in Alaska losing funding. Maybe I’m erroneously overstating what a lifeline I assume those terrestrial stations are, and I guess they’ll all manage somehow, but this seems so stupidly pointless over such a paltry sum.
  14. Their NIL is shit and it will probably keep the top tier coaching candidates away.
  15. Problem will be that the "do your own research" crowd is now in charge of creating the vaccines. So we all get to die.
  16. So I just watched the Epstein doc on Netflix a few nights ago and today I learned the main girl who spoke out, Virginia Giuffre, committed suicide in April. So sad.
  17. Bravo. I’d give you 100 likes if I could.
  18. i hope he was wearing a helmet... sheesh
  19. I have a friend who loves that place, so we go about once per year, most recently a couple months ago. I always shoot it down when it's suggested by this friend, but every now and then I have to give in to maintain the peace. I can always get by with a margarita and chips, salsa, and creamy jalapeno, if nothing else. But this time I was pretty hungry and ordered food from among my "safe" options. Chuychanga was the same, and creamy jalapeno the same. Despite my warning and her better judgment, my wife ordered their standard cheese enchiladas with their Tex-Mex con carne sauce on top. That dish has historically been pretty terrible at Chuy's, among the worst things on their menu. But this time it was... actually edible. Not great, but better than it has been for the past 10, 20, 30 years. I don't know, maybe corporate actually looks good on them. But I'm still not going back for another year...
  20. They need to wander the wilderness for a while. They finally made a mediocre hire and now they need to make 2 or 3 in a row.
  21. And they eat dogs in Korea, but that doesn't mean I have to.
