Yeah that's kinda what I've been thinking. Another big difference here will be the sun baking down on them. 84 at night vs 92 in the daytime is only 8 degrees difference, but the sun beating on you makes it much worse.

So how should I respond to this week's email from UT asking for money? Not that I've donated anything in a while, but I still want to make a point.

I think anyone would take an AA that played both tackle and guard. Not sure I get your point lol

How does one get back to the normal boards? This place is kinda boring.

They have not given up. They came out and got pushed around. They actually played better in the 2nd half. I think this was more likely a DL that has not seen an OL fire out at them in over a month with a 230 pound NFL RB behind them. Florida's interior OL is probably the best Texas DL has faced this year.

I think I've posted this before: "The Real Origins Of the Religious Right" He expands it in a book as well.

Yet another SEC (co) FOW award Texas’ Cari Spears, an outside hitter from Frisco, Texas, averaged 4.75 points and 4.17 kills per set and owned a .340 hitting percentage over a pair of road wins for the Longhorns. In Texas’ first sweep against Georgia, Spears hit .410 on a team-high 15 kills and also registered three digs, one block and one ace. In the sweep at Mississippi State, she recorded 10 kills, seven digs and a career-high two aces.

Texas Football 2025 - Seven Win Steve Rides Again
ousux replied to closetojumping's topic in Football
The sooner (no pun intended) we recognize this is a rebuilding year and embrace that fact, the better off all of our collective livers will be. Idgaf how highly ranked our past couple of recruiting classes have been, youth and inexperience are killing us, especially offense. This isn't excusing Arch, Sark or the QB whisperer, it just is what it is. The O-line is steaming dogshit most of the time, and now the interior of the d-line is suspect as well. 8 wins and a somewhat decent bowl (if such still exists) is our ceiling this year, anyone thinking differently is setting themselves up. -

Horses are low-maintenance in some ways, but either they are out of vehicles (including commandeered civilian cars) or the drones really are that affect at easily picking up vehicles (I'm leaning towards this). If the vast majority of front-line deaths are from drones and not from artillery and small arms fire, it favors Ukraine - they have shorter internal lines (comms, command & control, etc.), and they are on defense - you need 3-5 to 1 to take a defended position, and drones have to make that even more difficult since they pick up movement from far away. Not to mention that we've seen Ukrainian and Russian accounts of the Russians having to keep their guys spread out and doing their assaults with groups of two soldiers so that everybody is spread out and not as vulnerable to drones, and they don't have the numbers they did. If tonight's drone attacks on Russian forces include more attacks on Crimean-based oil & gas infrastructure, that is going to get the internet generals buzzing. That was a large facility and airfield they hit yesterday.

Extremely surprised to learn that people who spent their youth visibly acting out, showing poor impulse control, and having unhealthy conflicts with authority figures grew up and gravitated towards Donald Trump when they got older. Gonna have to mull over how this happens.

Lol I watched w no sound. Had OU game sound and I came away with ‘holy shit, that o line is BAD.’ Makes sense to me now if announcers were piling on. -
There were a few years there where Nebraska was winning every head to head battle against Texas in high school recruiting and in the portal. It felt like they were fielding the U19 and U21 national team. But Elliott did a better job with roster management in 2022 and 2023 to bring home the titles. And then Penn State squeaked it out against last year's Cornhuskers. Both of Stanford's last two coaches won national titles with talent recruited by the previous coach - Dunning in 2001/2004 and then Hambly in 2018 and 2019. Elliott took a lot of flak from a lot of circles for being able to recruit but not being able to win championships prior to 2022/23, but as we all know the program was a dumpster fire when he took over. He's managed everything extremely well. Not just the roster, but staff hirings, the atmosphere at Gregory. Scheduling. I only wish he'd do more media availability, but with the press corps that covers the sport, it's hard to blame him for not wanting to see them more often. In any case, we'll see what happens with this Texas team. I'm excited about the journey. Someone posted on Volleytalk we're now more than halfway through the regular season, which doesn't even seem possible.

Coach Sark Press Conference 10.6 - 11:30am (LHN app or ESPN app)
MuellerHorn replied to BigOrange1's topic in Football
I hope things definitely and positively change. I meant I hope there is not a reset needed; meaning Sark doesn't get fired because the program has addressed the problems and is headed in a positive direction again. I didn't mean "shit has positively changed" in a past looking sort of way. It certainly has not positively changed. -

ya know, you could just pull the mask off like your peer Chrispy did - it's really a beating to have a founding member of the Rittenhouse fan club constantly lie and derail the topic of ICE going gestapo on people. let's try and dumb it down for you: Yes or no: do you think ICE is going overboard?
