(Maxwell, reading from written remarks handed to her by Todd Blanch) "I actually only very recently became aware of the existence of Donald Trump. The people involved with all the child rape were Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, Jill Biden, Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, and screw it let's say Pete Buttigieg too, and Gavin Newsom." -

I view it as a football issue being given attention by the executive branch, regardless of who it is. Legislative branches at different levels has dabbled too. Maybe it is CR. I think a lot of it is freaking football though -

Agree in principle, but I'd say one person "should not" instead of "cannot." It's pretty clear that one person can have an outsized influence on an issue -- not just the president and not just this issue, but Trump does tend to have outsized influence. My first thought in looking at the executive order was that it probably written with the help of AI. I wrote on another forum that the presence of the "reported" fact of one team paying $35-40 million for its football team this coming season seems to come directly from the internet rumor. The revenue cut-offs in the executive order seem arbitrary and potentially very problematic. But now they're numbers that are out there, and we'd all be fooling ourselves if we didn't admit to the possibility that they could take on substantial weight before anybody knew exactly why or how. -
well shit. I thought it was thursday.

So, we got the MIL's 401K and IRA moved to inherited IRAs this week. We decided to put $400K in SPYI and enjoy those monthly dividend payouts. We are still waiting on a check for the balance of her state pension. No idea what that amount is but it will be invested in SPYI also. I was wrong about the taxes on SPYI. Dividend disbursements from an inherited IRA are treated as ordinary income instead of qualified so the taxes will be at our regular rate. But, found money is found money. We also just sold her paid off house. We used some of the house money to pay off my car and will buy my wife a new car since her mom said to use some of the money to replace her 2012 Sequoia. The balance is going to our brokerage account and will be invested in VOO. It's crazy to think about now being completely debt free, outside of a mortgage payment, and getting an unexpected $4,000+ boost in monthly income. TLDR: Inherit some money to get your finances in order.

Williams supposedly came up with a fix for their overheating issues, but it hurts car performance. Sainz' car broke immediately on his first lap in FP1, so maybe the fix isn't working so great.

I mean, Gordon seems to be the anti Walter and has a rabbit foot up his ass. Gusto has been fine. I will be glad when both of them are replaced by Arrrighetti and Javier. September 1 we should be looking at: SP- Framber, Brown, Walter, Arrighetti, Javier, Garcia Pen- Hader, Abreu, Sousa, Okert, King, Gusto, Gordon, France? (you get 14 as of 9/1). LMJ is on the IL for the year- those blisters man, they can be tricky. He gets a normal off season to go into 2026 where he's pitching for his life. Lineup: Diaz, Walker, Matthews, Pena, Dubon, Altuve, Melton, Smith, Alvarez. Bench: Caratini, Trammel, Singleton, Short, Guillerme. Paredes is pretty clearly likely out for the year. My suspicion would be the same for Meyers. Need 1 high impact bat that can play 3B. My goodness, is that Carlos Correa's music I hear? Allegedly Twins would love to move him, he has a NTC, Houston is about the only team he'd waive it for. Crane likes the idea. Get er done, Jimbo!
