Like Michigan, CMU won’t serve a postseason ban or have to vacate any wins for arranging for Stalions to scout on its behalf. However, the program has been placed on probation for two years while it also received a fine of $30,000 plus 1% of the football program’s budget. Former Central Michigan head coach Jim McElwain received a two-year show-cause order, restricting him from all college football coaching duties during the first year of the show-cause period. If McElwain returns to college football during the second year of the show-cause, he’d be required to serve a suspension for 20% of the team’s regular-season contests. Former Central Michigan quarterbacks coach Jake Kostner, who formulated the plan for Stalions to be on CMU’s sideline to identify and decipher play-calling signals, received a four-year show-cause order. Former CMU director of recruiting Mike McGee and former CMU coordinator of athletic equipment operations Nate Mason each received two-year show-cause penalties for providing gear and a bench pass to Stalions to disguise him as a member of the Chippewas’ staff and provide him sideline access. https://www.elevenwarriors.com/college-football/2025/10/159047/central-michigan-gets-fine-and-probation-four-former-staffers-receive-show-causes-for-having-connor-stalions-on-sideline

Local sports guys interviewed a guy about concussion protocols. Seems like it's a 6-level process, with increasing levels of activity and various cognitive tests along the way. It sounded like Arch being dressed out at practice (but not actually practicing) was consistent with the process. It doesn't mean he'll play Saturday.

Government Shutdown 2025: This Time It’s Personal

The most common theory is that they don't want to get blamed for the loss of the ACA subsidies. I don't really buy that though. 1) they already voted for the loss of the subsidies, 2) I think they would be willing to negotiate on the subsidies if they really feared the public backlash. My guess is they want something to separate them from Trump's whims. If they nuke the filibuster, then they are the only thing between Trump and new law. If tomorrow, Trump says he wants to wants to build a 1000 meter Colossus in his likeness, they want to Democrats to prevent it from happening rather than telling Trump no. Once the Democrats are removed from the equation, they know Trump will become more demanding. Now, maybe that was a lesson-learned from they way the Big Beautiful Bill was handled to avoid the filibuster, which is how the subsidies were removed, but I don't think there is any attempt to avoid the ACA subsidy removal. -
Could this be the craziest coaching carousel of all time?

Couple of notes on Elko and A&M. Ross Bjork hired him from duke and his replacement is Trev Alberts who has lost Schloss Texas and Buzz to Maryland in his 20 months on the job. Jimbos buyout is 7.5 million per year until 2031 and based on the Rhule extension Penn State was likely in the 12 million per year range. Would the aggies be willing to commit around $20 million per year in just Head Coaching salaries? Ross Bjork in 2023 after the Jimbo firing mentioned publicly they were looking for ways to cut costs. Full interview- Cost cutting around 3 minutes -
It would be a huge mistake. I've been to SoFi several times, and while it's fine for NFL games, it has absolutely no soul, and would create a terrible college atmosphere. I went to a couple of LA Bowl games, and while that isn't a great benchmark for what a regular season game would look like, I would bet fewer people would show to SoFi than the Rose Bowl. And while it's closer to campus, that 405 commute is absolute death. And if people think traffic leaving the Rose Bowl is bad, Downtown Inglewood is a million times worse. A bad idea all around. But we're full of bad ideas.

1) Is this you? ☝️ 2) Who are the guys we need to back off of? 3) I ate at EATALY in NorthPark last Thursday and I love that place. 4) While speaking Spanish to a Spaniard in southeastern Spain 🇪🇸 this summer, the gentleman I was talking to paused to ask if I was from Italy.🇮🇹 I replied that I was not, but about a minute later I told him that I learned my Spanish in Argentina 🇦🇷 and in Spanish he told me: ”Argentinos son italianos.” (“Argentines are Italians.”) And since I have had an Argentine passport since the middle of 2013, I guess that I’m kind of Italian as well.

GOP doesn't want to use the nuclear option, because the big beautiful bill fucking sucks and is going to cause a lot of pain and they want the Dems to share the blame. The Dems want them to use it because they don't want to be associated with the shit that's coming, especially in regards to the ACA -
