In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an icepack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the icepack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water-activated gel cleanser. Then a honey-almond body scrub. And on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb mint facial masque, which I leave on for ten minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm, followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.15 points

In looking over this class yesterday, it really does a great job of filling a ton of needs to run herman’s optimal offense, especially adding more formational functionality without subbing and explosive plays. Smith and/or Whittington can both be effective in being a jet motion guy. Herman ran that action a lot at tOSU and UH, but he hasn’t used it much at UT, in part because we haven’t had a burner who can play slot, which is required to make that motion threatening. Smith can be effective in that Percy Harvin/Curtis Samuel role, and having that guy adds a ton of big play ability not only for Smith but also for moving the defenders and creating better alleys for our RBs to break runs up the middle. Bru can absolutely dominate in that big slot role and also play outside depending on matchups. but I think the biggest element we added to the team with this class if formational flexibility. Liebrock is by far the best pass catching TE prospect we have and when you combine him with Whittington (and Brown is also a good route runner if he can return to football) at RB, we can go from a heavy set to 5 wide without letting the defense sub. Bru will end up playing at around 225 and he’s already a punishing blocker, so we could easily motion him inside and have essentially a 2 TE set where Bru chips an outside defender and Liebrock works as the lead blocker for Whit. Next play, we can shift to a legitimate 5 wide because Whittington is a full blown WR and Liebrock is already an elite route runner. We’ve run some 4 and 5 wide this year, but Beck and our RBs aren’t nearly the receiving threats these new guys are. We can slow utilize 2 back sets without whit and Smith. I think the apex of this will be when we open a drive in a heavy formation, and let a defense put its run blocking unit out there, only to motion Bru, Liebrock, and Whittington our, so 2 of them are now covered by LBs or box safeties. With this kind of flexibility, we can create mismatches all over the field and there’s really nothing a defense can do to stop it. They’ll have to constantly choose what mismatch they’re willing to concede. We’ll be virtually guaranteed to have Liebrock and/or Whittington covered by guys who can’t stay with them, or a defense will have to forego help over the top to avoid this, in which case guys like Smith and Eagles can kill the defense deep until they’re forced to put safeties back over top. And all of that isn’t even mentioning using the QB as a runner into light boxes when we motion everyone out. The personnel Herman is amassing is truly incredible and he’s got to be salivating at all the things he can do with these guys in the fold.12 points

This has been answered up above, but to be clear, it was an ego thing for Herman. It will be interesting to watch Powell's career. On a separate note, one of the write-ups talks about Jake Smith knowing it was going to be Texas, and I guess that's true, but he had a visit set up to ATM with Brewster. Brewster left for UNC and Smith dropped the visit plans. Brewster is good and he's a sneaky fucker. Damieune Craig is a piece of human shit. Any player he's recruiting actively and for any period of time can be assumed dirty. I don't care where they sign. I would like to see this guy be thrown from an 80 story building. I'd cackle at him the entire way down, as women and sarvanaash shrieked in horror. He's exactly the problem with the recruiting arena at this juncture and I despise his existence for that.10 points

I can't get over how unbelievably dumb this whole thing is, it's actually costing me sleep. Imagine trying to blackmail the richest person in the world with material that is not illegal or materially damaging to him in any way, shape, or form. This man could spend a billion dollars destroying you, stringing you and all your dirty laundry out for the public to see in the process, and barely make a dent in his fortune. And not only that, you're doing this while basically wearing an ankle monitor issued to you by a federal court, and fucking doing it in writing. Unbelievable.10 points

Man, Katfid, I’m really disappointed in you forgetting about Brandon Jones with the TexAgs documentary andthe F-150 thing. Unless, of course, you thought one of the guys you posted was Brandon Jones...9 points

Well, let’s be real - the divorce was always going to cost him half dick pics or not. The cheating isn’t why they’re divorcing - is just a symptom. If your man is fucking around, the marriage was already over. He just sped up the inevitable. Mrs. Bezos was with him before he started Amazon and quite literally helped him build and she worked there. She was always getting half and she deserves half. If he was honest about it he’s probably wanted out for a while. And so he decided to act out in the way to make that happen. He didn’t trade half for the strange. He traded half to be single. The strange was the quickest way to get there.7 points

As an engineer I will grant that ending fossil fuel usage in 10 years does not appear remotely possible for many reasons. But the GND is a placeholder for doing all we can, give our best effort in combating climate change and reducing fossil fuel emissions. That is simply the opposite of policy to day, which has been to do as little as possible, nothing when possible. An about face is called for, and that's what this represents.7 points

An antivaxer has a heart attack. He's rushed to ER, but during the emergency surgery, his heart stops, rendering him clinically dead. Before he knows it, he's face to face with none other than God himself, Author of the Universe, Maker of All. God smiles beatifically and says, “Don't worry. The doctors working on you are good; you'll be back in no time. But as long as you're here, do you have any questions you'd like to ask?” The antivaxer thinks and says, “I know there must be reasons, beyond our understanding, why evil is allowed to exist. But why on Earth do you allow the evil, corrupt system of vaccines to exist?!” God shakes His head, patiently. “My child,” He says, “It is not evil to be mistaken. Which is to your benefit, because in this case, the mistake is yours. Just as so many people have tried to tell you over the years, vaccines are effective and far safer than the diseases they protect against. I give you My Word on that. Now, return, with My Peace upon you.” Suddenly, the antivaxer is staring up at the ceiling of an operating room, as his heart starts beating on its own once more. By the time he's able to receive visitors, the man is desperate to talk to his antivax friends, to let them know the vital truth he brought back from the other side. He calls them all and insisted that they be there at his side the very minute he's cleared to see anyone - he has huge, huge, HUGE news for them. Finally, his friends are gathered around him, and he motions for them to gather close...... “It turns out,” he starts, “the conspiracy goes a LOT higher up than we thought…”6 points

Good stuff. I'm pretty sure a psychiatrist wouldn't have helped me. A lot of it is just the dynamic of the meeting, where the shrink takes on the role of "messiah" where whether he tries to or not, he presents as the all knowing person who's there to solve my problems. It's easier to open up and be honest at an AA meeting. Psychiatrist meeting: "Yeah, I got drunk and pissed on a police car." Psychiatrist: "You what?" AA meeting: "Yeah, I got drunk and pissed on a police car." Someone else: "Been there. Were you inside or outside the car when you did it?"6 points

Well, we all have our roles to play, Sydney. You're sort of the insufferable cocksucker, Machinator is the bot, texifornia is the Rick Moranis of Surly, Longhorn94 is going to pull the bookshelf on top of himself repeatedly, sarvanaash is going to publicly squat to pee on command, fatkid54 is the racist, Fud is the recruiting nerd straight man, and I'm sort of this jovial, benevolent, happy-go-lucky avuncular character who just wants everyone to get along, be happy, and trust the coaches.6 points

Katy. He has ties to fucking Katy and he's going to A&M. It's Whoopception. This shit rolling out about his recruiting prowess is coming from fucking Hamm and Billy FFS. Getting 4* kids from Louisiana to choose LSU isn't exactly "recruiting". Look at his classes and OkState and compare them to previous OL coaches at OkState. He may well be a good OL coach and developer and being an upgrade over The Marine is a fucking given but don't read too much into his time at OkState -- it's clear that Gundy is the straw that stirs the drinks and staff members can come and go but that dude remains and keeps getting it done and the offense never really changes.5 points

CSB time: about a year and a half ago, I went to a wedding in nj, male cousin of the current gf (no pics). The party was nice and all but about half way through, the father of the groom got pissed at something the reception hall did and was yelling at everyone and nearly started a fight on the stairs right outside the ballroom in the main foyer area. Something about not being allowed to bring in outside liquor. So he left pissed off and never came back to his own son's wedding. Then the groom got involved in a different shouting match and he was also screaming at some random shit. He almost got kicked out. There were at least 2 other shouting matches with the reception hall staff but forgot who was involved. And a few months ago, found out the bride was actually secretly a lesbian and is now living with her gf. NJ weddings are nuts.5 points

Her campaign finance rants are gold. What we need are young conservatives and young liberals coming at this issue from both sides. She’s dead on bullseye on that issue. For climate change we’ve had so much do nothing even the Paris deal is a far cry from what is really needed. If she’s the leader out of the gate on a real and meaningful approach and that comes with pie in the sky ideas that need to be revised, honed and sharpened then fine. The truth is we need to take drastic action in the next few years and so I welcome the conversation. Electric cars and solar roofs for a select upper middle class folk ain’t gonna do it. We need every single governmental entity making this a priority. When all intelligence agencies are saying it’s a national security threat and potentially the number one threat in the long term we need to act. Countries like Russia don’t care because strategically global warming will make Siberia the world’s breadbasket upending a world order the US has benefited from for hundreds of years. We simply can’t afford not to do something. So I applaud her using her bully pulpit of twitter to advance these conversations and I extend a modicum of patience and forgiveness while the details get hammered out. It’s actually time get this train moving.5 points

Who? Who will not wear the flag pin? This is what concerns us now? Stick a fork in us, we are more than done.5 points

That article conflates two points: (1) accomplishing a social goal through economic incentive and investment, and (2) accomplishing a social goal through government fiat by taking direct control of economic actors. The former is a time tested and often used tool of our government to direct economic actors (e.g., tax deductions, federal funding of projects, etc). And despite the author's insistence, nothing about her resolution necessitates the use of (2). In fact, the resolution consistently favors directing investment in technologies and industries to achieve its goal. But sure, believe what you want.4 points
